yeah, sure. are you starting or am I?
Hmmmm I could start. Should they just meet somewhere?
well I was thinking maybe your dude like stumbles into Levioth after being injured or something so we could do the protecting thing?
Oh yeah that sounds brilliant. Lol let’s get started then.
aight, you wanna write the starter?
My morning was just brilliant, Zackary growled to himself as he ran/limped along the street, pushing people away as he tried to hide in plain sight.
His morning was quite okay. He had started by waking up in his comfy motel room, flew out to his usual area for work, only to get shot down by his stalker-angel. They always chose the right time, and it irritated him so much. It’d either be when he was asleep, bored, alone, flying, or eating. Literally any time he wasn’t around a human. This time they had shot a spear into his wing, which was shaking behind him as he ran, struggling to keep it up and folded against his back as he limped. He had landed awkwardly on his left leg, it had bucked up under him when he landed with a jolt, so now he was left with a stupid lope as he tried to run from an invisible, much stronger, angel.
(Just did. Sorry it’s kinda short, I thought it’d get the point across.)
(it's all good, at least it's not one or two lines lol)
Levioth was humming faintly as he walked down the sidewalk, bags of groceries in hand as he went. He got a few strange looks as he did so, to which he only gave a grin in response. He was used to people thinking his appearance was rather odd, even for a mutant, but he didn't particularly care anymore. His tail flicked idly, and he mouthed the words to the song playing in his headphones
Zackary was right to pick a heavily populated area to flee, though. The angel couldn’t bring themselves to hurt a human in a chance of hitting him. He managed a tiny smirk as he shouldered through a few burly men, his flying feet kicking a bag of what seemed to be groceries. This caught his foot, and made him fall again for the second time. The bag ripped in the guy’s hand (Levioth, btw) sending cans and bottles everywhere.
Levioth let out an indignant noise as he was sent sprawling as well, narrowly catching himself on his hands and knees before his face could collide with a can pointed straight at his forehead. He let out a small groan, sitting up and trying to fix his headphones, which had been a bit messed up in the process of falling. "Fuck, man, watch where you're going," he muttered, glancing at the man who had knocked him down but not getting a great look at him
Zackary had not been able to catch himself in time, so he had landed right on his chest. His curled up and shaking wings flapped as if egging on the fallen man, who shook his head at the other, as if some form of apology, before he went running (or jogging, really) off again. This time his chest felt tight and painful, and he couldn’t stop faint wheezes.
Levioth looked up and watched the man run off, and his expression fell to more of a disgruntled annoyance. He went to try and pick his groceries up before realizing the bag was ripped, and with a growl he grabbed an armful of things before grabbing them and wrapping them up in his tail. "Hey, you busted my grocery bags! And you didn't apologize, asshole!" he called after the man as he began to jog after him
That’s what you get for carrying them so low! Zackary couldn’t help the angry thought. If he had breath to spare that’s totally what he would’ve snapped. But instead he took a corner, curling his pained wings closer to his back. He had a really bad feeling about turning into this emptier area, but if he turned around, he would be caught by the angry guy behind hin.
"Don't ignore me, bitch! I'll whack you with my landlord's avocadoes!" Levioth threatened, waving the groceries bundled in his tail for emphasis as he picked up the pace, graduating from angry fast-walking to actual running, weaving his way through the many people passing back and forth on the sidewalk until he turned the corner as well
“Can’t you see a guy’s running for his life, here?” He hissed through his gritted teeth, ducking in posture as he ran across the barely busy sidewalk. He just needed to get somewhere sa—
Before he could finish his inner monologue, a shiny, white spear came from a wavering shape near a building window, barely missing the other of Zackary’s huge black wings. He squeaked, bringing himself to run faster.
Levioth opened his mouth to respond, but his eyes widened when he saw the spear shoot out at the stranger. The brief flash of light allowed enough illumination for him to finally notice just how injured the guy in front of him seemed to be. Picking up the pace, he found a rush of enjoyment go through him–it had been a while since he had gotten to actually exercise his abilities. "Hey, wait, stop running! You're hurt, and I can help!" he called after the man
Zackary started to feel weak and tired. His chest ached and his lungs were burning as he worked himself. His wings flapped out behind him, the non-injured one, as if trying to knock away the other man. Another spear launched out of no where, catching the wing stretching out by a black, spiky feather. Zackary had to rip away from the wall the wing became slammed against, ripping out a few feathers, causing the other demon to buckle a little in the pain. But he kept running, ignoring Levioth.
Levioth gave an annoyed growl now. "Okay, bitch, I'm going to help you the hard way!" he snapped. He tightened his grip on his groceries before beginning to run faster, jumping up and landing on the wall. He began to bounce back and forth between buildings, moving faster and faster before jumping on Zackary, doing his best to gently pin him down. Unfortunately, they were both knocked down a little roughly, but not so much that it hurt Zackary any more
Zackary heard hoppings and gruntings, until he was slammed into the ground, his wings uncomfortably crushed up beneath Levioth. He struggled under him, thinking it was the angel, his wings trying and failing to get the heavier man off.
"Fucking–Stop! You're hurt, don't hurt yourself more!" Levioth growled annoyedly. He adjusted himself, pinning the other down as painlessly as he could. "What the hell are you running from?" he snapped
Zackary still flailed, kicking out his legs the moment he was able to. “Get your mitts off of me!” He wheezed through his aching chest and lungs. Another spear appeared and barely missed his head. He squeaked and scrambled more, pushing up.
"Stop it, stop it!" Levioth growled, but he looked up when he saw the spear. "Oh my god, if I get killed my brother is going to sue you," he muttered, pointing a finger accusingly at Zackary before getting up. He began looking around for the source of the spear, eyes widening when he saw what looked like a strange person-shaped outline a ways away. "Stop trying to shank this guy! You can't stab him until he apologizes to me!" he exclaimed, arms waving as he yelled
Zackary scrambled up slowly as Levioth let him go, but the tackle had done its job. His legs shivered and he gave out, collapsing onto the sidewalk with a cry of pain for his legs.
The thing seemed to notice Levioth was on Zackary’s side, and a few moments later the shimmering died away.
"That's right, bitch! I'm lean, mean, and got 24 sets of teeth!" Levioth shouted out as he watched the strange figure seemingly leave. Just for effect he let a few sets of teeth extend, just to make sure he scared the thing away before turning to Zackary. He cleared his throat, realizing he had probably overdone it a little. "Hey man, uh…You alright?" he asked, voice a bit softer now as he leaned down to help him up
(I love him so much xD)
Zackary turned and snapped at him as he bent down. He stirred and sat himself up, shifting up into a slow stand.
“Don’t touch me. Thanks for interrupting! I had the situation fine and pinned down!” His voice was weak but it was still angry and fierce past the wheezing.
