He'd look at her. "I'm sorry Joanna..it's just..I don't want to lose my house..I've had it for a month and…it's my fifth house this year..I don't want it to be six houses this year…" He'd sigh. "Sorry but if you were in my shoes..you would understand..I have to go now…" He'd hug her and walk away.
"But…" Groaning weakly, she gave up trying to follow him and turned on her heel to continues off.
The rain was still softly coming down, spattering across her pages while she continued to read in silence. There wasn't much she could do, he'd keep running off and not listen to what she had to say. There wasn't much point.
(I guess timeskip, again? Or do you have something else in mind?)
(Or! I've got a plot twist? )
(I'm afraid I don't understand what you're saying?)
(What's that? The twist I mean.)
(Never mind. It sliped my mind 😐)
(Uh- alright. Would you mind writing first then?)
Jackson would wake up and do his morning routine. Right after he'd dress up and go to his job. He worked at a pizza place on 123st on 23rd. He'd try to smile at everyone that came in. His manager liked him. He got his work done in hours, no stopping. He would wait for the next costimer patiently, thinking of Joanna.
Monday's were typically Joanna's favorite days. She didn't have to worry too much about work, considering it was quite empty from Monday to Thursday. So she was off doing little errands, a leather bound notebook with a black inked pen clipped to the front of it. She was alone again, so she was rather silent as she continued down the sidewalk.
With earbuds in her ears, she hummed along to the relaxed music. As it was little after the afternoon lunch rush, she decided now was the best time to go and get something to eat. Wherever she went would be emptying out once she got there.
"JACK STOP DAYDREAMING YOU'VE GOT CUSTOMERS!!" He'd lift his head and there would be a whole line of people. "Hello! What would you like?" He'd smile at the customer. This happened with all the people until he saw someone he knew.
Joanna pushed the door open to one of the nearest pizza parlor, pulling out her earbuds after pausing her music. Silently, she wrapped them around her phone before slipping it into her pocket.
While she waited in line, she pulled her wallet out of her other pocket to pull out her credit card. Her mind was rather elsewhere, still rather foggy from the little sleep she had gotten. Mentally, she planned a conversation to order her food so she wouldn't look like a fool.
IT is Joanna! He'd think. "Sir? Are you going to take my order?" a costimer asked. "Huh? Oh ya what would you like?" It went on for a few people until it got to Joanna."Hey Joanna! What would you like. Maybe the special? Or anything you want? It's up to you!" He'd smile akwordly
Joanna lifted her head up, going to order but stopped at the sudden chatter from the one taking her order. "Wait- Jackson? You work here?" She asked rather confused, her whole train of thought screeching to a halt at the sight of his face. "I-" She wasn't sure what to say, tapping the edge of her credit card along her fingers. "Well, hi."
(I'm sorry I've been emerged in my work! And I shouldn't really be on so I'll get it in soon)
(It’s all good! Just checking)
(I'll get it in in 20 min or 4:00pm [est])
(Works by me! I was busy anyways ahah)
"Huh? Oh ya..!" He let out an awkword laugh. "What brings you to this pizza place? You poped in here unnoticed!" He heared everyone talking behind her, "Hey speed it up! " The line would get shorter and shorter by the minute. " Oh Anyways!-" Trying not to lose costimers here.. He'd mumble to her. "What would you like to Get?"
(Sorry for the Late responce! I lost this rp and found it heh
(WOAH, why was it so big?? And it's all good!)
"Oh- uh sorry. I'll have a slice of cheese, if that's alright." Joanna hummed, knowing that wasn't the best choice. Though she just wanted to get out of line, so she wouldn't get yelled at by anyone. "And a water to go with it, please and thank you." Smiling weakly, she handed over her credit card to pay with. Joanna didn't want to get anyone fired… especially him.
He'd turn to the miny window. "One regular With water!" He'd turn around and look at someone in the back. He'd relize he knew that person but ignore him continuing the orders, one by one. The guy by the mini window would ring the bell "Jack! One Regular with a water ready!" The guy would say. "Got it Jay!" He'd turn around get the tray with the water and the pizza and yell " One Regular with water! Ready!"
Joanna walked up to Jackson with a confident posture. "That would be me." She hummed, holding her hands out to take the tray from him. "The shortie with red hair. Probably the most out of place person in your store." She joked about herself, taking the tray with a light sigh. Her smile never ceased though, as she started to walk away with her food and go sit down at an open table alone. Placing her ear buds in, she started her music while she ate.
