I like them! So before we start, we need to address where the characters are in life. Highschool, college or just adults doin their thing?
Well, Kharis has graduated highschool, they graduated at 17 so they could be in college or regular adults, I don't have a preference
Probably college. Is that alright?
Ooh, sure
How would their rivalry start?
Well for min tbh, it’s so easy for him to start rivalries with people it’s stupid. So like honestly you’re character and him could hate each other because they can’t stand each other or something.
Or maybe they went to high school together and they were like…class rivals or something? Idk.
I’m tired sorry
I like the highschool one
Since Kharis is good with math, it was expected that shed go to an out of state colleg or some4hing but she chose to stay and maybe that's why they are rivals?
Sure! So let’s start tomorrow? I need to go to bed lol
Alright!! I fell asleep anyways lol
Okay, I'm gonna try to get it up in a few minutes if that's alright
Alright, but I warn you, I have to clean the house and stuff so I wint be able to answer until a short while later
(Post the starter whenever you're ready, I'll respond later in the day)
(Warning, this starter isn’t going to be long because I’m too tired. Sorry)
Min-Hyuk had just got accepted into this college a few weeks ago and moved in yesterday, the year was off to a great start… Not.
His hair now a total mess and dark circles under his eyes, he was one of the only immortals in the world and he was suffering in a dark room at his drawing tablet in front of a failed drawing. Once again…
A dying artist, he didnt want to get accepted into a college specifically for art. He didnt like running into other artists, seeing them mostly as competition and too stereotypical.
Sitting back in his chair, he opened his eyes to a terrible ache in his neck and back and the sunlight flooding through his dorm window. He already hated everything.
Sitting up only to knock his cold black coffee all over himself, he stood up quickly and cursed aloud.
Thank goodness his roommate hadn’t moved in yet or else they would have been scared away.
He quickly showered and changed into a baggy sweatshirt and black ripped jeans. Cleaning the coffee spill on the hardwood floor and near his drawing tablet, trying not to already have a panic attack, he packed his bags and made sure his dark circles weren’t too noticeable.
And with that he was off down the halls, too busy thinking about meeting his new roommate today to even think about anything else, nor pay attention to where he was going. His body on autopilot as he stepped into the elevator taking him down only to walk to the college campus building, leaning on the wall of the elevator watching the green numbers change.
3…
2…
1…
(Okay so since your character doesn’t have a certain gender, i set it up to where if you wanted, your character could be his roommate and thats how they’re forced to be together? But also if not, then its totally fine.)
(I was thinking of that and was going to ask you about it even before I saw your note XD I'll do the roommate thing because Drama)
Ayla was feeling very happy today. Her twin, X, had just confirmed that he would be able to visit from across the country during the break. She found her room information and winked at the receptionist before she left. At the elevators, she realized another student trying to get her attention. "Oh I'm sorry, did you need something?" She asked. The student was trying to get to her room which, oddly enough, was on the same floor as her own.
The elevator came and went, dropping the two students onto the __ floor. They waved to each other and walked off towards their specific locations. Ayla opened the door and immediately guessed her roommate seemed like a slob. "Great, at least this is one thing that hasn't changed from home to here." She grumbled
As he went down the elevator, Min-Hyuk thought about his sister and decided to text her. She's been married for only about a month to his best friend from their home town coffeeville.
Reaching in his back pocket for his phone a great way to start off the day?!
Wrong again! As he seemed to have left his phone back in the room. He let his head hit the wall of the elevator as he tried not to punch the wall. He needed his phone for a multitude of things. He couldn't just leave it there in the room all day! Plus he heard his roommate was coming today and he forgot to tidy up the place. He was normally an extremely clean person for an artist anyway. But last night wasn't a good night for him as he lost the pen to his art tablet and turned the place upside down looking for it.
Calmly taking the elevator back up stairs, he went back only to find his dorm room unlocked.
Saying something in Korean under his breath, most likely something bad about himself, he opened not only to find his phone ringing but whom he assumed was his roommate. "h-hello" he says frozen in the doorway.
Ayla, who was busy inspecting the dorm, turned around to see her roommate and groaned, cursing to the gods in multiple languages. "Why am I always the one with bad luck?" She muttered, ignoring Min-Hyuk and walking out of the dorm, intending on going to the office and having them change her roommate.
(so I made a Pinterest board on him, here it is. There's his looks, style and quotes. So if you want to take a look, it's right here)

Yeah, that stung just a little bit. He's been really looking forward for his roommate to come. But of course he scared them away.
He stepped into the bathroom and looked in the mirror. He didn't look that bad he thought. His hair was just a bit messy.
He quickly went back to his side of the rather large room and started to clean it. It was a quick pick up, nothing too big.
In about five minutes he was done and he simply waited for this rude roommate of theirs to come back
Ayla came back, cursing. A perfect day it had been only to have been ruined by the same person who was keen on ruining her life at Highschool, although that was her opinion.
She opened the door and angrily jumped onto her bed, mumbling into her pillow about stupid officials, stupid roommates, and stupid him. A short while later, she flipped over and glared at the ceiling.
He sat on the ceiling thinking about where hes seen her before. Having a horrible memory and purposely blocking out his time in highschool, it hit him in the face like a brick.
Ayla….
He laid back down in his bed and sighed. Really? This was his roommate? He could have anyone else in the whole entire world…and he got this? Really?
He sat back up and looked at her with a slight glare. Not saying anything, but grabbing his phone from his now clean desk and turning to her before he walked out. “Don’t get in my way” his voice deep and tired.
And with that he shut the door gently behind him and walked to the elevator.
"Don't get in my way" she mimicked. "Who does he think he is, telling me what to do." She turned to her bags, having fallen to the ground, and started to organize her things. By the time she finished, a good amount of time had passed and she was now starving. 'That's what you get when you eat a slice of toast and water for breakfast' she thought as she rummaged through her drawer for a takeout menu.
Once she found one for a local pizza place, she called and order a bit of things. Unsure whether or not her roomie had eaten, she ordered an extra soda for him, if he didn't want it, she'd have a second drink for herself.
Soon enough time had passed of him sitting in his classes and doodling. Though the classes he was taking was art classes. He didnt care. He just doodled and turned that in.
Today Min wasnt feeling too motivated to do anything today. But now it was lunch time which also meant break time. The students could go and eat wherever. He on the other hand immediately came to his room, hoping for his roommate not to be there.
Opening the door as he took his sweatshirt off, almost falling on the ground as he did, he pulled his t shirt back down so it didnt show his stomach and threw it on the bed before he looked to see if his stupid roommate was there. He hated them for a few reasons but they were basically enemies from the start.
The only two immortals in the whole world. Why?
Well it was easy, miss hateful simply made everyone fall in love with her (as goes the prompt) and Min-Hyuk on the other hand never fell in love. Thus making both of them immortal. Meeting her he saw it as a challenge, but never treated it as one. He was just never attracted to her. He hated her guts. He didnt see how everyone loved her so much. But he didnt judge. Actually, yes he did.
He never knew how she felt, and never tried to worry about it. Though he was always on his toes around them. A few other reasons from highschool, but Min forgot and just assumed they were annoying.
He sat in his chair at his desk and propped up his drawing tablet, 15 inches by 20, it was decently big. He didnt say a word to the friend over there.
The pizza arrived and Ayla gestured at it. "I ordered a soda for you if you wanted anything to eat." She simply stated and plugged in her headphones, jamming out to her favourite band as she ate.
Suddenly her music stopped. Looking at her phone in confusion, she realized that X was calling. "X! How are you?" She asked. "Hey there! Who is it today?" She smiled. X was always taking into account who she was and it always brought a smile to her face. "Its Ayla today, but by the end of it, I may go back to being Kharis." She muttered, shooting a glare at Min-Hyuk.
He grabbed the soda, setting it down beside the tablet not opening it. He turned around with his arms crossed, tapping the pen on the side of his arm as he watched her face light up at her assuming friends phone call. As she glared at him he only flipped her off and spun back around in his chair, looking up at the ceiling, dying of boredom already. Blowing his hair up and own of his face before it fll back into hits original position and then again as he spun around.
X talked with Ayla for sometime before revealing that he wouldn't be able to visit. He may have been her twin but he graduated early and had exams the week of his visit. Ayla was heartbroken but didnt want him to realize it so she changed the subject then hung up. She threw her phone angrily on the bed and finished her pizza. She grabbed a jacket and her keys. "Going out for a run, dont freak out if I come home too late." She mumbled before putting her hood up and leaving the building.
