Mikki nodded, placing one hand on top of Quill's, "Okay then," He smiled, "Th-Thanks for… for this, I really enjoy hanging out with you."
Mikki nodded, placing one hand on top of Quill's, "Okay then," He smiled, "Th-Thanks for… for this, I really enjoy hanging out with you."
Quill nodded, smiling. "You're welcome. Trust me, I like hanging out with you, too."
Mikki grinned and blushed, “If you didn’t I would have been a little confused as to why you decided to go in a date with me.”
"Yeah, that's fair," Quill said, tilting his head a little with the same small smile.
Then, there was a loud crash, bang and scream from the kitchen, the waiter from earlier running into the back room.
Quill's head snapped up, his eyes narrowing and his hold on Mikki's hand tightening slightly. "What was that?"
"I-" Mikki couldn't even get his words out before another scream came from the kitchen and the male's eyes widened.
Quill got up, pulling Mikki to his feet and quickly wrapping an arm around him protectively. "What the fuck."
It seemed other couples and friends seemed to be doing the same, Mikki hiding under Quill’s arm, “Wh-What do you thinks happening?”
"I don't know," He mumbled quietly, pulling Mikki closer to him and pulling a small pocketknife from his jacket pocket. "I want to find out."
Mikki quickly shook his head, “Y-You can’t. I-I don’t want you to get hurt.”
Quill let out a sharp breath from his mouth. "They won't come out from the front anyway. They'll leave from the back, whoever it was." He wanted to do as Mikki asked - his impulsive hadn't even questioned him getting hurt. But he was just so…impulsive that he would probably do it anyway.
Mikki bit his lip, “If you go in I-I’m going in too.” He said, looking towards the double doors to the kitchens.
"You won't get hurt, don't worry," Quill said with a nod, starting to walk towards the counter and the entrance to the kitchens, his pocketknife at his hip.
Mikki followed close behind, keeping to Quill's side. No one tried to stop them as they walked closer, everyone else just as afraid.
Some couples quickly left the building, others crouching behind tables and booths, with just a few remaining standing. Quill reached the counter, opening the gate quickly and stepping through.
The scene on the inside reveal multiple chefs and waiters clutching each other, some crying. In the back of the room, was a mangled, deformed body, blood leaking from the chest and other places on the body. Mikki slapped a hand over his mouth.
Quill let out a low breath, blinking a few times and holding Mikki closer to him in comfort. "Who did it?" He asked in a low voice, pushing some dark hair out of his face.
No one in the kitchen responded for a moment, "W-We didn't see…" A girl piped up, "Th-There was just a l-loud b-bang and th-there they w-were."
"Well," Quill responded, pursing his lips. "Must've went out the back, then," He mumbled quietly, holding Mikki closer to him as he walked through the scene.
Mikki was starting to regret coming with Quinn, but he also didn't want to leave his side, "Why would… why would anyone want to do this?"
"People suck," Quill responded simply, walking quickly past the damage and out the back door, the scent of the salty ocean hitting them hard.
Outside, there was a bloodied crowbar, but there wasn’t any sign of the murderer.
Quill pursed his lips, holding Mikki closer to him as he studied the crowbar. Clearly whoever it was didn’t work here.
“W-We shouldn’t b-be out here…” Mikki said quietly, looking over his shoulder to the inside of the kitchens.
