Miren slipped past the panicked people and stood over the body, taking note of the stab wounds. "Would you like me to take a look at it?" He asked, as if he wasn't already observing it. "I may not be of the police, but I am a detective."
Currently, he looked like some sort of nymph, in his dress of metallic blue with scattered water lilies embroidered on it, not any sort of detective.
Lucius nodded, moving so Miren could see the body. They showed him into the room, their eye catching a bloodstained note on the desk.
Alex was frozen at this point, too much pressure, too much.
"Uh…" He muttered.
"I'm o-okay… I'll be fine…" He whispered, more and more tears rolling down his cheeks.
(;-; okay!)
"yeah I can take you somewhere else to maybe to catch your breathe." He smiled looking at Alex leaning down and wipping the tear off his face.
He turned to smile at haven as well.
Alex felt a soft blush on his face, not being used to this, and he sighed, hesitating.
"I-I don't mind… I guess?" He was a bit confused.
He smiled softly at Alex.
"I'm Camie by the way." He gave Alex a pat on the head.
He nodded his head further down the hallway on the other side of the corpse, away from the loud party. "this way." He smiled at Alex .
Alex followed him. "M-My names Alex.." He stuttered, fidgeting with his sleeves nervously.
He smiled softly, caring at Alex.
"It's nice to meet you Alex." He watched as alex fidgeted with his sleeves, before turning and looking up at his mask.
"So Alex how did you end up at this party?' he asked wondering for a specific reason and we'll just wanting to talk.
Alex paused. "Dunno… Got invited and wanted t-too I guess…" He kept fidgeting with the sleeves, looking downward, embarrassed.
"hey, there's no reason for you to be embarrassed." He put his hand gently under Alex's chin and tiled it up smiling at him and letting go.
He turned to look towards the hallway they were walking along hoping they didn't get lost somehow.
Alex felt a bright blush on his cheeks. He was not used to being cared about, or cared for. He smiled softly, before following him. He skipped, hoping no one noticed, but he was in the mood for trying to get his mind off of what had just happened.
He smiled at Alex's smile, noting him being slightly happier made camie slightly happier.
"There's that winning smile." He spoke softly, but still loud enough for Alex to here him. He looked around not mentioning the fact he saw alex skip along.
"So, corny question, what's your favorite color?"
"Hm, I'd prefer a light, cutesy pink." He admitted, smiling. "Or maybe a dark royal blue, mainly pink though." He admits, shrugging, and sighed.
Camies mouth fell open a little bit. "You like pink? No way. Well your never going to believe this. But I actually really like pink." He chuckled a little bit as he was wearing a pinkish mask, pinkish suit, pink hair.
"Which of the pinks I'm wearing do you like the most?"
Alex giggled. "All of them!" He admits, smiling. He was partially color blind, so he couldn't see some shades but sighed.
He chuckled a little bit. "well I'm glad you like them, it's fun to meet another pink enthusiast."
He noticed the sigh and tilted his head. "what's wrong?"
Haven was following silently behind Camie and Alex, watching out around them in case the killer was still here, which they likely were. Her fingers twitched whenever she heard the slightest noise.
Alex looked at him, before giving a smile. "Nothing, Just the fact of me being colorblind isn't so fun." He muttered, keeping the soft smile on his face.
(Gtg for the night, sorry.)
(Night)
He frowned for a little bit before smiling again "Well I see you aren't letting it get you down, which is good." He smiled at him. Noticing them being followed by haven having looked back on a occasion.
Haven noticed Camie looking back at her and just waved a little, keeping her distance at the moment because Alex seemed to finally be calming down and she didn’t want to ruin that.
Miren slipped past the panicked people and stood over the body, taking note of the stab wounds. "Would you like me to take a look at it?" He asked, as if he wasn't already observing it. "I may not be of the police, but I am a detective."
Currently, he looked like some sort of nymph, in his dress of metallic blue with scattered water lilies embroidered on it, not any sort of detective.Lucius nodded, moving so Miren could see the body. They showed him into the room, their eye catching a bloodstained note on the desk.
Miren also noticed the note, briskly walking over to it and picking it up with gloves hands. They were pretty cheap as gloves went, so he wasn't really worried about staining them.
The note didn’t contain much, just instructions for the musicians and some notes for when the first dance would take place, exactly midnight. The bottom half of the note was mostly too bloodstained to read. However, the papers piled high on the rest of the desk remained mostly untouched by gore, and may have contained something more useful. But as Lucius sifted through the notes, all they found was party planning and messages to some Dahlia Cricket, one of the servants at the huge manor.
Miren looked over Lucius' shoulder, making a small hum at the note to Dahlia Cricket. "Could you help me find this Dahlia Cricket?" He asked, picking up the notes to her and reading through them. "Could be a clue…" He muttered as he read through.
“We don’t see much of her, she was always with Killian. I’ll see if Miss Malachite knows anything, she and Miss Cricket were always the closest.” they said, shuffling off and leaving Miren to investigate further. The drawers of the desk all remained undisrupted, except…
The bottom right drawer was slightly open. The glint of something metallic was left inside.
There was a statue of Killian, wearing his mask, smashed to bits. So was the painting of him, still masked, torn to shreds. Every image of Killian had been completely destroyed, except for one small photo tucked away underneath a tall stack of papers. Whoever destroyed all this must have missed it.
Intriguing…
Miren sifted through the bits and pieces of Killian memorabilia and papers before he got to the photo. He picked it up and inspected it closely before setting it into his coat pocket, he'd add it to an evidence pile.
“E-excuse, excuse me. Uh, I didn’t catch your name, sorry about that Sir, but we’ve found something. Come with me, now!” Lucius said as they hurried over to Miren. They looked around frantically, stopping short of physically dragging Miren to see what they had found.
"Miren-" He managed to get out before he was pulled toward whatever destination Lucius was going. "Is my name." He finished after the initial shock of being grabbed. "What did you find"
“Well…” Lucius said, hesitant. “It’s awfully strange, Miren, Sir, it’s just… we found Killian’s will. He’d been acting so strange, but I never… have you ever heard of an immortal that would write a will?” they asked, taking Miren to the room where it was found.
Miren's brows furrowed. "Never in seriousness, whenever I hear of immortals writing wills it's always as a joke." When they entered the room, Miren picked up the will and began to read it.
