"Yes, it does. That's how affection works, silly." After a few more minutes of lying down and enjoying the silence. He sat up so he could rub his eyes. "Okay…" He shook his head and looked at Faybian. "I'm ready. For sure this time." Alexander looked at the ground and glared. "I'm ready to leave, but I don't want to get off your lap. The floor means I have to get up, and if I have to get up, I won't get to hug you anymore." Alexander rubbed his eyes more in an attempt to open them completely. He plopped his head on Faybian's shoulder. "Why is waking up one of the hardest tasks to complete?"
Faybian shook his head and pressed a kiss to Alexander's head. "There." He huffed a laugh and laced his hands behind Alexander's waist to hold him in place. "Oh the struggles of today's generation. Whatever shall you do dear?" Faybian teased, easily picking Alexander up as he stood from the couch. "now as much as I'd love to carry you everywhere, I doubt you want to get stsere day he entire day. You can hug me when get to wherever you'd like to go." He promised, sliy setting Alexander down.
"The struggle is real out here." He nodded. He pouted when Faybian began to put him down, but he figured it was time for him to start moving. "So if you love to carry me everywhere, you should do it. I promise they'll get a mean glare from me if they decide to judge. I have to change. However, I don't think boxers and your shirt are proper attire to wear for a date. So you wait here. As much as I would- I'm not going to finish that sentence." Alexander tapped his shoulder and kissed Faybian on the cheek before tiredly walking back to his bedroom. He closed his door behind him and started to change. Alexander went back and forth between his bedroom and the bathroom as he did so. He had to look at the weather. For a winter day, it was going to be quite warm. With that in mind, Alexander put on an oversized collared sweatshirt. It's navy blue with a yellow stripe in the middle and on that stripe read the words "Boston Rowing." He looked at the navy blue skirt and navy blue cargo pants. He wasn't sure which one to wear. He was nervous the first time he bought a skirt, so he wasn't sure if Faybian would judge him for it. He hesitated when reaching for the pants. He quickly grabbed the skirt before his mind could talk him out of it. He put on tinted tights, and since his shoes were at the front door, it was time for him to leave his room. He tied up his hair on the way out of the room into a loose ponytail. Just breathe, everything will be okay, yes, everything should be fine. "S-So, are you r-ready to go?"
"not going to finish what sentence?" Faybian shook his head as he watched Alexander head to his room, half tempted follow him. Instead, he took a deep breath and went into the second bathroom to change. He eventually settled on a a cream and black thickly striped sweatshirt since it was cold and some olive green pants. He brushed his hair into loose bun before stepping out and grabbing his jacket. He decided to tidy up a bit, cleaning the dishes in the sink and folding the blanket on the couch. Faybian nodded when he heard Alexander come in, still folding the blabket "yep, I'm all ready to g-" he finally glanced up took in Alexander's appearance. He had grown accustomed to different styles of dressing in hell and had even tried dressing in skirts and dresses. But on Alexander looked…lovely. maybe it was because Faybian genuinely liked Alexander but he really did like seeing Alexander in dress. He cleared his throat and straightened. "Sorry, yes I'm ready. Where are we going first dear?" He asked with a soft smile.
He smiled when Faybian didn't look at him with a judgemental look. That had to be one of the best feelings he's ever felt. He watched Faybian straighten, which made him giggle quietly. Alexander also took in Faybian's appearance. It made him forget what words were for a second. "U-Uh, I thought we could visit a bakery to get something in our stomachs before lunch. I heard they have delicious pies, so I want to try whatever a pie is. Then we could walk around the city and go window shopping. Then we can go to the park in the middle of the city and bring some food for a lunch picnic. Would it be too late to call it lunch? If it is, we could always just go to another restaurant as we did yesterday. If there's anything you also want to do, then we can do that as well." Alexander reached the door and slipped on his yellow high-top converse. He patted down his skirt when he came back up and turned back towards Faybian.
“Dear, I find it hard to believe that you don’t know what a pie is. But I’d be more than happy to go to a bakery.” Faybian laughed before tugging on a pair of short leather boots and wrapping a scarf around his neck. “That sounds like a great time to spend the afternoon. Though I’d say if we’re going to the bakery, it’d be our lunch. Whatever we choose after will probably be our lunch.” He grabbed Alexander’s keys from the coffee table before opening the door and gesturing for Alexander to go through, “we can still have a picnic for dinner if you’re comfortable staying out that late. I’m sure we can find a nice place with some people around just so we’re not so alone.” He suggested, glancing back once more at the apartment before locking the door behind him.
"Yes!" He cheered as they exited the apartment. He looked around the streets and watched for the bakery he was talking about. "Why is it so hard to believe. Before you got here, I've been living off cup noodles and the only foods my mom used to cook from childhood. I can assure you, and she's never baked." Alexander chuckled and put his hands together. "So, do you think we can hold hands as we did before?" Alexander chewed on his bottom lip. He tapped his fingers together nervously. He wasn't too good at this whole dating thing. His confidence level was not the best either.
"dear, don't make me out to be a lifesaver. That's not who I am. But I'm glad you're happier." He smiled softly and shrugged. "I'm sure your mom's cooking is great. You'll have to cook for me one day so I can try." Faybian said, arching an eyebrow. "what happened to cocky morning Alexander that refused to do anything until his coffee was ready, hm?" Faybian teased, gently taking one of Alexander's hand in his own and lacing their fingers together. He pressed a kiss to the back of his hand and tugged him closer to his side. "You don't need to ask if you want to hold hand's dear. I'm more than happy to do so."
"Faybian to me, you are. Whether you like it or not. I'd probably be in the same ruining every day. Wake up, eat, work, eat, school work, eat and sleep. With you, my schedule keeps fluctuating. It feels nice." Alexander looked at Faybian in disbelief. "Listen…maybe one day when I have the motivation to start cooking. Maybe. For now, no." Alexander felt a heat rise to his cheeks. "I, I was, well. I don't know. That was when I wasn't on a date with you. I still get nervous." He leaned his head on Faybian's shoulder, squeezing his hand. "S-So, um, my graduation is coming up. I'm getting my doctorate this year. Did you want to go to the graduation? I have to buy the ticket and everything, but I would like it if you could come. Maybe we could go out to eat after or something…"
Faybian pursed his lips but wouldn't argue with Alexander, not now at least. He wasn't some hero, he was a demon and the only reason he was there was because Alexander had summoned him. He just happenes to fall in love with Alexander, that was all. He gently brushed the back of Alexander's hand with his thumb, a small smile spreading over his features. "I look forwards to that day then," faybian teased, tilting his head and thinking "hm, no. If I recall, you're the who suddenly got all dominant and very sternly told me you weren't going to help with breakfast until you had woken up fully, this very morning. If my memory serves correctly, we've been dating for the past two weeks or so." Faybian said matter of factly, giving Alexander's a coy grin. He pressed a kiss to Alexander's brow. "Why wouldn't I want to come to the graduation of the person I love? I would love to come. I'll take care of dinner whether you decide to eat out or at home as well as anything else you might want to do." Faybian reassured with a proud smile. He knew Alexander deserved that doctorate more than anyone, he had seen the labs and the massive final report he had written.
"Okay, I just switch sometimes okay, I swear it's like a have a split personality. One second I'm confident and then the next I'm a blushing mess. It's definitely something you do to me." Alexander gave a shy smile. "Thank you…It's just my parents never came to one of my graduations. Not even the ones that you get from pre-school to middle school. So I figured most parents didn't go, but I saw other families celebrating even for the little things on those nights. I thought I would never be able to get that. Then my mom died of cancer, my dad started drinking, and it became a shit show. So this means a lot to me, is what I'm trying to say."
"I like it when you're all confident. I also like it when you let me treat you and you get all flustered." Faybian said, his smile only growing wider as he pressed a kiss to Alexander's head. "But of course dear. What kind of demon boyfriend would I be if I didn't come to your graduation? We'll celebrate all your accomplishments in one night." He smiled already making ideas ona small party for Alexander and the kind of dinner he'd cook or the local places they could eat that seemed nice.
Alexander noticed the bakery just before they almost passed it. "Oh! Here is it. Sorry, I was a bit distracted. For the record…" ALexander opened the door, letting him in first. "I do like it when you're flustered at well. You were very flustered this morning when I was on your lap. Yeah, don't think I didn't notice." He followed Faybian into the bakery. Alander grinned. "Me and my glasses see everything." He teased. They were seated at a table near the window and were given menus to look at. "Woah…There are so many things to look at. So many things to try. Who knew the world could be filled with so many different foods?" To say the least, Alexander was amazed at how somebody could create so many different food combinations.
Faybian gave a smile and a bid if his head before entering the bakery, gently tugging Alexander behind. "And here I thought you were too tired to notice." He pulled Alexander to his front and wrapped his arms around him, head resting on Alexander's shoulder. "Do they now? Well, I have nothing to hide, especially from you. Yes, it's true, I do get just the teensiest but flustered when you're all sleepy and cuddly in my lap. I quite like it." He purred, following Alexander to the booth and settling down across from him. He nodded his head as me ues were set Infront of them and started looking through, immediately going to the 'filled pastries' section. "It is quite amazing how you humans have figured out how to make so many delicious treats out a few simple ingredients." Faybuan agreed, grinning when he found the chocolate filled breads. "Decide on anything yet dear?" He asked, peeking over them menu.
"Well, I guess that makes two of us." He looked at the menu for a couple of minutes before nodding. "I want the apple pie, but I also want funnel cake. They both look delicious, but we should split them because I don't think I could eat that much. I might, but just in case." Alexander put the menu down and held out his hand across the table. "You know as much as you give cold glares and kill people, you also help people. You helped me. I feel that there are a lot of deals you made that helped better the lives of others. You're more helpful than you are in destruction. Don't compare you falling in love with me and your other deals. That was a deal you made with me. Totally different."
Faybian nodded slowly, searching for the funnle cake and the pie. "Yeah, that sounds great. If there are any left overs we can take them home." He reassured, setting aside his menu and arched and eyebrow. He smiled softly and lightly traced the lines in Alexander's hand all the way down to his wrist. "Dearest, as much as I truely appreciate you trying to justify my actions, I also don't want you to ignore what I am for the sake of our relationship. While I'm glad I bring more than bad to your life, I can't say I've done that for all of my other contracts. Oddly enough, I'm proud of the work I've done, even if I turned people into something less than ideal. I like my job, my position, and the power I hold." He gently rested his hand overtop Alexander's and lightly tapped his wrist. "I would never compare my relationship with you, now something more than a mere deal, with my other contracts. I'm willing to balance who I am with this relationship for your sake and safety." He promised, gently lifting Alexander's hand and pressing a kiss to his hand. "How dare you make me so vulnerable. Never in my afterlife have I cared for a human. Not truely. At least not until you came along." He shook his head in feigned disbelief and gently squeezed Alexander's hand.
"Oh, I am not justifying your actions. You do murder people sometimes, which is scary. I just want you to know even though you hurt people; you sometimes help them as well." Alexander felt a shiver when Faybian traced it with his finger. The action made him a little distracted if he was being honest. He struggled to form his following sentence as he kept looking back at Faybian's hand. "I don't make you vulnerable. I make you loveable, soft, and a cinnamon roll. I'm glad I got to be the one you fell in love with. Finding love in a world where people get joy from hurting you is not fun. So, I'm glad I got to meet a respectable person-demon….yeah, let's call you that, that can help me grow as a person." He intertwined their fingers and squeezed his hand back. The waitress came, and although Alexander stumbled on his words a bit, he managed to say the order. "O-Oh, did you want anything to drink?"
"when will you learn that in not the cinnamon roll in this relationship?" Faybian sighed with a smile and shrugged. "In all honesty hell is no different from earth in that aspect. It's very much a dog eat dog world there, one where if you're not careful you can easily bece somone's plaything all a bit too easily. Lucifer may be the ultimate ruler but what lower lord's and the rest of the hierarchy does is not his concern, so long as they don't get in his way. That leads to some very interesting opportunities." He glanced up and shook his head, "respectable, definitely not, at least not in Hell. Thankfully my professional job is in hell. Where respectable takes on a whole new meaning." He brushed the back of Alexander's hand "I only hope for the better." He muttered softly, lifting his gaze to meet the waitress' "just espresso, three shots please." He replied smoothly with a dismissive nod.
"I will take an iced mocha with cream, please. Thank you." The waitress took their menus and left the table with their orders. "When will you learn that you are the cinnamon roll in this relationship." Alexabnder landed back in his chair and crossed his arms. "Any compliment I throw your way you somehow find a way to turn it down. Lean to take a compliment my cinnamon roll, life will be much easier for you I promise. That's it. That's your new pet name, Cinnamon Roll. Beautiful if I do say so myself." Alexander leaned over and kissed Faybian's cheek. "Then again you have no problem with me calling you handsome."
Faybian dropped his now suddenly empty and onto the table and gazwd at Alexander. "That is simply because I'm undeserving of such lovely comments, my dearest. I don't mind life being a bit difficult. Gives the countless years I live a bit more interest." He rested his chin on his hands and face a sweet smile. "I would argue my nicknames are better yet you seem quite adament about making me your cinnamon roll so I'll reluctantly accept, even if I still think you're wrong." Faybian blinked in surprise at the kiss but caught Alexander's chin before he could pull away. "ah well that's slightly different. That compliment is actually accurate." He smirked and pressed a proper kiss to Alexander's lips, drawing it out a bit before gently pulling back. "Very well, I'll be your Radio Demon Cinnamon Rill boyfriend, if only to see that confident smile I adore so much more often."
The kiss caught Alexander off guard. He felt like melting into a puddle as his hold on Faybian's hand loosened. "Well, I wasn't arguing about who's are better. I know…yours are better…they make me swoon, trust me. So you don't accept compliments if they're not about your looks. That is a very dangerous mindset you live off of, but I'm not a therapist. If I were, I would've fixed myself up by now. But what can I say, you are very handsome. I'm glad I got you before someone else could." Alexander wanted to lean in for another kiss, but they were in a public place, and leaning over the table seemed rude somehow. "Yes! You submit. I have defeated a demon in a battle of submission. I feel pretty good about myself right now." He grinned. He put his hand to his lips. "You like my smile? I can safely say I've never gotten that one before. Maybe because I don't smile often…"
"Good, I like that dreamy look you get whenever you get flustered." Faybian murmured against Alexander's lips before he let him go. He shrugged as he relaxed into the the chair. "I work very hard on my outward appearance dear. Whats on the inside is a bit harder to handle and is less deserving of kind words." His gaze flicked up to Alexander and gave a slight smile, gentle buy tentative as he admitted "I'm still working on that as well." He gave a laugh and ran a hand through his hair. "Yes, I'm yours. Solely yours." He reassured with a proud smile. He was…somomes. He was loved and claimed by somome. That left Faybian feeling…giddy. Faybian had always believed in the mindset that no person truly belonged to another, even in his lifetime on earth. But this was different. He had someone to love, and someone who loved him back. And that's all that matters. He gently squeezed Alexander's hand and shook his head with a grin. "Enjoy your brief victory sweetheart." He purred softly, looking up at his human and tilting his head. "I do. The room lights up when you smile. It's beautiful. Besides, I like seeing you happy more than I like seeing you pissed."
Alexander watched the pie and the funnel cake being placed on the table with excitement. Their coffees also came in not too long after. "Well, I guess you'll see that dreamy look more often. It happens every time I look at you, you know." He sliced the pie into 8ths and took a slice, putting it on his small plate. "You really think so? Thank you, Faybian."He took his fork and took a bite of the apple pie. "Holy hell, this is amazing. Why have I never tried this before? Oh my…" Alexander started eating it more quickly, savoring the flavor with every bite. "My victory is not brief. My victory is forever. But gaddamn, this pie is good. What about the funnel cake? Is that good? I don't want to mix flavors. It could end in something no one wants to taste."
"I look forwards to that, dear." Faybian smiled before cupping the espresso mug in hands and taking a careful sip, humming softly in surprise. "That's actually quite good." He took another sip, grimacing slightly at the strong taste but immediately relaxing as the rich coffee flavor settled into something deliciously pleasent. Faybian glanced up at Alexander and laughed softly. "No one's going to take that away from you dear, slow down a bit." He laughed and started to pull apart the funnel cake And taking a bite, eyes widening in surprise again. "How dare you let me make breakfast for all this time when a place like this exists?" He said in disbelief, looking up at Alexander and shaking his head with a smile. "That wouldn't be so bad, would it dear?"
"Yeah, well, I'd rather save my pocket every day by eating the food you make. Besides, for me, the food you cook is enough." He slowed down just like Faybian said to do. Although he was close to eating the whole pit, he left half for Faybian to try. He took a long sip of his coffee, washing down the flavor before moving to taste the funnel cake that Faybian had tasted. He took a small piece and stuck it in his mouth. His chewing slowed, realizing just how good the cake was. "I make the best choices. Oh, wow, I really should come here more often. Faybian, make sure that funnel cake exists in hell when I die. I do not care what powers you must go through to get a funnel cake, but I want this to be on the menu."
