Backstory: Luke (Luca) had grown up in a conservative home, restricted in what he could and couldn't do. His parents were very strict and only allowed him to read biblical books, and watch biblical movies. He was sheltered from the world, sheltered from the superheroes. He had struggled with religion, wondering why God had created them only to destroy them in the end, so when he turned 18, he moved out, leaving his old life behind and starting fresh. He wanted to see the world that he never got to see when he was a child, but Luke was naive. He got caught in a back alley one day, beaten and robbed, and a super came to him and saved him. The super had a large helmet on, but Luke would never forget them. This sparked his love and desire to learn about superheroes.
Personality: Somewhat childish, but in a charming way. He had never been exposed to the harshness of the world prior to this, so he is highly gullible, and faces problems too big for himself to handle. He is sweet and kind, but brash. He acts upon his emotions rather than taking a moment to think.
Appearance: Tall, slender, and pale. He had very little muscle, or body fat at all. He was prone to injury, but somehow miraculously never gets injured {Hmmmm, I wonder why ;)} He wears simple clothes, the best that his shallow check from the coffee shop could buy him. No piercings, no jewelry, he blends in painfully well.
Powers/Abilities: ((MAY or MAY NOT add something here in the future, I'm brainstorming something that could pair with Adam))
Strengths: Due to his naivety, he always views the world from the positive side, so he is amazing at pep talks.
Weaknesses: With naivety comes gullibility. He is so painfully gullible, but he's learning.
Likes: He really likes coffee, although it makes him jittery. He pretty much likes anything though, besides religion.
Dislikes: Religion, his parents, criminals

Name: Adam Karson
Alias: Sensum
Superhuman or human: Superhuman
Age: 22
Gender: Male - He/Him
Sexuality: Homosexual
Backstory: Adam lived a carefree life. His parents were human, but they ran one of the most prestigious tech companies in the country, so Adam had no troubles, well, that's what everyone assumed. Everyone thought that since Adam was the rich kid, he was okay, that he was just fine. Wrong. His parents were power-hungry, wanting to rise above the social cliques. They wanted to feel the prestige of being a super. So, being the geniuses that they were, they experimented with some tech that was developed years ago when Supers first showed themselves. One night, they found that the tech enhanced the natural abilities of the person who used it, so they used it on themselves, which ended in them becoming ghastly monsters. Adam came in and saw them, and in a panic, he used the device as well, resulting in his powers. His parents escaped the lab, and Adam chased after them, becoming faster, stronger, smarter. He finally caught up to them and pleaded for them to come home, but in a struggle, he had to kill them both. Now Adam goes from place to place, wearing a helmet both to conceal his identity and to help with his powers, fighting off anyone who tries to give themselves powers. (Adam and Luke go together because Luke is obsessed with supers and Adam is afraid that he'll want to give himself powers)
Personality: Very cold and short. He doesn't have much of a sense of humor, and though he meets other supers all the time, he never tries to spark a friendship. He is balanced on the edge of criminal and hero, still broken from killing his parents.
Appearance: Tall and muscular. Very very handsome. Chiseled features, deep thick voice, auburn hair. If only he could take his helmet off without passing out from the flow of sensations.
Powers/Abilities: Heightened senses, very heightened senses. Touch, smell, taste, hear and see, are all dialed to the max. He also has increased speed, not insanely fast, but much faster than a normal human, and a boost in strength, nothing too major though. He has to wear a helmet to prevent an overflow of sensations. If only there was someone who could help…
Strengths: Doesn't get attached to people. Therefore doesn't have anyone that people can hold for ransom or anything like that. He is very smart, raised by technological geniuses.
Weaknesses: Short temper, doesn't really care what you have to say. Pretty sarcastic.
Likes: Taffy, coffee, and kiwis.
Dislikes: Touch. It feels like fire on his skin.
Other: This is not finished.

Oh boy, oh boy– these guys are awesome. Excellent characters. I'll finish Marlo and have my next one up tonight, hopefully.

Character One
Name: Lennon “Len” Trémaux
Alias:
Superhuman or human: Superhuman
Age: 19
Gender: Ciswoman, she/her.
Sexuality: Pansexual
Backstory: Lennon was born into a world she barely got to know before being thrown into the midst of it. If it wasn’t for a car mechanic who had found her and took her in, she probably wouldn’t have survived (given that she was young. Extremely so). She never got to know her biological parents nor does she care to. For her, those parents are just strangers she pushes to the back of her mind.
Her new family, despite not being blood related, she would consider them to be the ones she was officially born with. She very well could be considered such, given she wasn’t even a week old being taken in by her fathers.
Her upbringing definitely had a major influence on her current day interests. When she’s not out racing on her motorbike, she’s managing the family’s mechanic shop. It isn’t a busy place, but it is known, located on one of the more fast paced parts of town.

Personality: Sarcastic and takes most things lightly. Though, Len knows to take things serious as needed. She’s caring, maybe too overprotective. When any of her friends get hurt, she’s known to demand who hurt them, ensure her friend’ll be alright, then go on the warpath to avenge them. Rest TBD during RP.
Appearance: First, notable thing: Upright, humanlike chimpanzee. Lennon’s features are predominantly chimpanzee, though she definitely has human characteristics to her, such as mainly walking upright, something that wild chimpanzees wouldn’t do to the degree she does. She’s also a bit more human like if I had to say anything. Her eyes are a light brown.
Covered in fur, Lennon has to take special care of her fur, especially in her career. Cleanliness is a must for her.
About 5’9” in height. Athletic build. Towards her head, her fur grows longer, almost like human hair. She braids it, not extremely long braids, but noticeable; when she has the time.

Her clothing regularly consists of tank tops which often have colourful designs, some being band merch. She usually wears jeans. Rarely wears footwear unless going out somewhere.
She sports a jacket when she races, as well as a full face helmet.

Powers/Abilities: Aside from her appearance of a chimpanzee? Not much. She’s probably stronger and more agile than the average human, though. She can climb and maintain a strong grip.
Strengths: Her knowledge in vehicles and motorbikes. She knows how to fix them, although only if she has the proper materials at hand. Climbing. Caring, good memory. Ambitious and passionate about certain topics.
Weaknesses: Too caring, can sometimes go into a situation without much of a plan. Usually thinks with her heart, not with her head.
Likes: Racing, painting, certain types of sports. Reading, in her spare time. Helping others (which she gets to do plenty of in her shop). Concerts.
Dislikes: Judgemental people, being stared at. Cigarettes. The rain. Wearing shoes.
Other: Has a motorbike that she painted (and bought with her own money) herself. Knows sign language.

Character Two
Name: Oliver Webert

Superhuman or human: Human
Age: 17
Gender: Nonbinary. He/they.
Sexuality: Asexual biromantic.
Backstory: Like Lennon, Oliver barley knew the world he stood in before being taken into the chaos of it all. Unlike Lennon, he was taken away to an orphanage, where he experienced much of his early life there, but ran off when he had the chance to. This is where he came across Lennon, who became one of his closest friends - also considered family to each other.

Personality: A mute, Oliver does not speak through words. He’s reserved and observant, but very loyal to friends and family. Do not be fooled by that, though - Oliver is a very mischievous soul, and a curious one at that. Most of his day is spent exploring, or getting caught in things he shouldn’t be.

Appearance: About 5’0”, Oliver is fairly short. They have a somewhat rectangular build with fair skin and light blue eyes. Their face seems to be almost constantly in a neutral expression, not smiling, not frowning, just..nothing. Dark brown, thick hair that goes down slightly below their ears. Small faint scar below lip.
Wears a yellow raincoat almost too big for him and a brown hat that almost looks like a cowboy hat. Big black scarf, and big black boots. Actually, most of what he wears seems too big for him.

Powers/Abilities: N/A
Strengths: Extremely good memory, could even be considered photographic. Loyal.
Weaknesses: Fairly distrustful of strangers. Sometimes skittish.
Likes: Fruits, writing (they’re quite the avid, creative writer), cats.
Dislikes: Thunderstorms, going underground, dark places.
Other: Carries a small hammer on his person almost all the time. Knows sign language.

Character Three
Name: Unknown.
Alias: Vestige
Superhuman or human: Superhuman
Age: 24
Gender: Cismale. He/him.
Sexuality: Bisexual, male lean.
Backstory: Once a slave to authority, Vestige now works against it, which sounds good, until you take into account he’s also the leader of one of the many criminal gangs of the city.
Though his gang - The Martyrs, as their members call themselves (though regular citizens of the city are likely to see these fellows as non martyrs) - aren’t extremely well known, their leader (and some of their members) have been points of interest. Namely Vestige himself, due to his history, which remains shrouded in shadows. You can only garner that he once worked with the government or for - to what extent, and what caused him to leave, remains hidden.
Essentially, his background is to be discovered.

Personality: Not much is known aside from how calm he’s described to be. People who’ve met him face to face have said he was pretty much a relaxed, normal person. That may be the truth, or they’re saying that to save themselves - members of The Martyrs aren’t against using blackmail, or even on rarer occasions, assassination to ensure their interests aren’t threatened.
Vestige is overall a loud individual. Presentation is his goal here. He’s not an extremely stoic leader, and he is pretty protective of his members, but outside, out and about, he’ll do anything to ensure his name is known.

Appearance: Most of his physical appearance remains unknown. Some of the more theory-driven folks like to think that he was in a huge conflict at some point that scarred him beyond recognition and now he hides himself away from the world. Others just think he likes to be anonymous to others, which could very well be the case. After all, if you’re a known criminal - showing your physical appearance isn’t the best choice, at least according to Vestige.
What can I say about his clothing, except for the fact it’s very..well, fits his goal of presentation?
Vestige is tall in height, probably around 6’4”. Long jacket, with high collar. The two colours he uses the most in his outfit are probably very dark brown and gold. For someone who’s ability is control of metal, he sure wears a lot of chains. Big boots, bowlers hat. Has a full face mask with visibly no features aside from very small holes at the lower half of it. Wears sunglasses overtop this mask, which can range from plain black sunglasses to bright pink heart shaped glasses. Depends on the day, yeah? Seems to have a lightly athletic form.

Powers/Abilities: Control of metal. He can’t create metal, meaning he has to settle with what he has or is around him. His range of control is vast, from making defences to turning bullets to liquid even before they’re fired. Probably has heightened reflexes. He has a fairly big range at which he can use his ability, but he’s not going to be able to pull a plane from the sky if he’s on the ground.
Though metal is everywhere - in the ground, in the air, in our bodies, those metal particles are far too small for him to use. Only under special circumstances can he use them, but such a practice is immensely straining, physically and mentally. He’s only reached those circumstances once in his entire life, and would rather not repeat it. This is also the part of his ability he bluffs about - that he is indeed able to use all metals, when in reality, the particles are too small for him to even grasp.
Strengths: His status as a criminal gang leader - notably, all members of this gang are Superhuman. He rarely loses his temper, and seems pretty good at lying.
Weaknesses: His past, if it is figured out and brought up to him, it is said he shifts to a whole other person. Usually doesn’t think about the holes in his plans. Rest TBD via RP.
Likes: Abstract art. The colour ‘yellow.’ Shiny things. Causing trouble - whether it be small scale or large scale.
Dislikes: Heights. Flying. Mountains. The snow. Loud noises.
Other: Nothing as of yet.

DAAAANNG. I love this cast already. (Also, lowkey might wanna make one of my characters a member of Vestige's gang? 😂)

I haven't got a chance to get my next character(s) up yet, but if I do two, one is going to be a superhuman and one is not. One of them is lowkey a criminal, and he does a lot of dealing on the Black Market, especially with weapons, technology, and highly specific and powerful drugs (which means he has connections with a lot of criminals, opening more doors for future antagonists and possibly even allies). He's more of a grey character than anything at the moment, aligning himself with no one. However it might be cool to have him as perhaps a weapons supplier for Vestige or even a member of his gang. He also deals in secrets and has a lottt of information on various groups around the city. Whenever you're looking for something and someone says, "I know a guy," this is that guy.

As for the other, I'm still bouncing around ideas for what he will be, but I agree that we should find ways to tie everyone together.

I still intend to do it! I temporarily forgot about it and have been busy with college stuffs, but it's by no means dead.

Thanks. And thanks for reminding me about this, too, because I knew I was forgetting something. I'll try to get it going soon. I've been all over the place IRL with college and martial arts and sleep deprivation that I don't even know what year it is anymore.

I agree. And I've been a little bit AWOL due to finals coming up and stuff happening in my personal life, but I'm trying to vanish for too long or too much.
