Bryce nodded slowly and pulled her free hand toward his mouth to press a light kiss to the back of it, hoping to get a smile out of her from the small bit of affection. "If you want to, yes. We could go for a walk in the park, too. It's a pretty nice night out."
Joy’s lips twisted into a small smile at Bryce’s display of affection, despite how small it was. It was still sweet, the fact that he was trying to cheer her up by doing the little things. It made her love for him increase.
“We can take a walk,” Joy answered quietly, knowing he was trying hard to cheer her up. She shouldn’t be acting like this. Bryce was trying to cheer her up and she was still sulking. What kind of an idiot was she?
“Only if you want to, though. We could always just go home and cuddle,” Bryce said softly, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
“I just…” Joy chewed on her lower lip. “I just want some release and…”
Her cheeks turned pink and she stuffed the donut in her mouth, a slight pout on her face.
“How about we go on that walk, then, and you can take a nice bath when we get home,” Bryce suggested gently, smiling at her. “We can make it a nice, relaxing bath. Put some lavender in the tub, light some candles… I could put on some music for you, too.”
Joy finally grinned at him, her eyes twinkling.
“That sounds fun,” she smiled, reaching out to kiss him on the cheek. “Thank you, Bryce.”
Beyce smiled down at her and returned the kiss with a small one on her lips. “Any time, beautiful. Should we head out on that walk now, then?”
Joy looked at him, blinking slowly.
“What about that ice cream?” She murmured. “We haven’t gotten the ice cream.”
“We can eat that while we walk, I suppose. Should we just head to Dairy Queen? Or Coldstone? Coldstone is better, in my opinion,” Bryce mused. “But it’s up to you.”
“Coldstone,” Joy answered almost immediately. “We can go to Coldstone. I like their chocolate chip ice cream.”
(I literally went there once before I found out that I’m allergic to dairy… sigh It was so good…)
“I think I’ll get the strawberry cheesecake ice cream,” Bryce declared, offering Joy his hand as he stood. “I think that’s my favorite.”
(Oh no…)
Joy took his hand, slowly standing up.
“I’d love to steal some of yours,” she joked before covering her mouth. “Oh, I shouldn’t have said that out loud!”
“Why not?” Bryce laughed, squeezing her hand gently. “Think people will find it strange that a girlfriend wants to steal some of her boyfriend’s ice cream?”
“No, of course not,” Joy replied, removing her hand from her mouth. “Now you’ll know I’m going to steal your ice cream. You’ll know to watch out.”
Bryce chuckled and kissed the side of her head before leading her over to the car. “You can steal as much of my ice cream as you want. I’ll just get extra.”
Joy pouted.
“Now where’s the fun in that?” She walked alongside him, hugging his arm tightly. Bryce always managed to make her feel better. Just a while ago, she’d been crying her eyes out. Now she felt better enough to laugh. It was Bryce’s magic.
“The fun is that you get to eat my ice cream, and I get to enjoy it until I can’t,” Bryce declared with a chuckle.
“You can also share mine,” Joy offered. “See, I’m your girlfriend. What’s mine is yours. Similarly, what’s yours is mine.”
“I might take you up on that offer, then,” Bryce said with a playful wink as they reached the car. He opened the door for her with a grin and gestures for her to sit inside. “My lady…”
Joy bowed, the smile getting wider on her face.
“Why, thank you, my love!”
(I gotta go. ):
(Aw…
Should we skip to when they get home?)
(Lol. Um… Just to when they’re setting the bath up?)
(Well, since it’s what Bryce is doing… I guess you should start…? XD)
(Lol. Okay. Give me a bit. I think we’re almost done…)
