Name: Katherine "Kit" Ryans

Age:

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Lesbian

Appearance: She wears her hair in a messy, curtained hairstyle. Her hair is light brown and a little curled at the ends. Her eyes are hazel and almond-shaped. She's taller than most girls and some guys, standing at about 180cm (5'11"). Her skin has a nice golden tan to it, and it is nearly unblemished aside from a small scar she has on her left thigh from fighting with a bird.

Personality: She's a bit tomboy-ish and outgoing. She has a very competitive attitude and loves to take part in competitions. She always manages to have a confident smile on her face and walks through hallways practically fearless.

Likes: Girls, obviously. Cooking, painting, sports, snakes, spiders, videogames.

Dislikes: Pottery, textbooks, birds flying above her (she think they'll poop on her), birds in general.

Other: Volleyball and basketball are her favourite sports and she plays them a lot.

(Sorry it took so long, I was a bit busy)

@ElderGod-Carrots

Name: Elide 'Ellie' Morrison

Age:

Sexuality: lesbian

Appearance: Elide has blonde hair that falls to just above her chest, it's not platinum blonde but it's close. Her roots are darker then the rest of her hair. She has very pale skin with pink under tones, littered with freckles all over her face and body. Elide has big, bright baby blue eyes and a button nose, her lips are a pale pink. The end of her nose and cheeks almost seem to be a permanent dusty pink, almost as if she'd put blush over them but she hasn't. She has a very friendly smile and persona. She is very skinny, almost unhealthily skinny. She's around 5'3-ish, maybe just a tiny bit taller but not much. She has a very strong English accent.

Personality: Elide is a very gentle and kind person, very sweet to everyone she meets. She tends to come off as shy and reserved but really she's a kind and bubbly person. She almost comes off as a child that hasn't grown up yet. Elide also suffers from anxiety and depression although she is on medication and is getting a lot better at dealing with it with out the meds. Elide isn't one to hold a grudge or get angry, she doesn't lash out. She can be a very emotional person, well, she is, but she can also be very good at blocking out her emotions when the time comes. She tends to bottle up her emotions until one day she just bursts.

Likes: hot chocolate, libraries, moonlight, reading, plants, a peaceful silence

Dislikes: loud noises (mainly fireworks) and crowded spaces, lizards, the smell of smoke and lavender

Other: Elide moved from England to America when she was 11. Her family had abused her and her older brother, Colby (now 25), when she was fairly young. Unfortunately for her parents, the child services were called and they were taken away. The two were sent to America when she was 12 and she has lived there ever since. Colby is a musician in a band and is always away touring so he is never around anymore which makes Elide pretty upset.

all good, now, do we want to do some classic high school thing with some crime or fantasy thing thrown in, something different? Your choice :)

(All righty)

A simple, Wednesday morning. Well, it seemed like it, at least. An average, Wednesday in the middle of winter. One of the worst times of the year, in Elide's opinion. When she moved from England she hated the heat that America brought but she learned to love it and hate the cold.

Another thing she hated was school. It was boring and dull and she didn't have many friends. Nothing ever happened. The students turned up, went to classes and left. On a good day there might be a fight in the halls but that barely even happened anymore.

Elide reluctantly walked into the school gates, trying not to slip on any ice and snow on the pathway. She shivered, hurrying into get into the halls and the heating. But something felt off. She couldn't place it but just assumed she was being paranoid.

Wednesdays. Nothing was too out of the ordinary for Katherine. For once, she was actually excited. She had a basketball game that afternoon and was very hyped up about it. She was so enthusiastic about it, that she was wearing basketball shorts, no matter how cold it was.

She walked arm-in-arm with her friends. They were always together and gossiping about something. Be it a fight or just a random student, they found something. But unlike her friends, Kit only talked about stuff she knew to be true, she feared someone would spread a rumor about her if she didn't.

As they strode through the halls, she and her friends spotted Elide. Kit felt her friends' arms unlock from hers and knew immediately that something was going to go wrong.

"Hey, little girl," one of them sneered, "what's with the look on ya face? Ya look like some turned you upside down by ya panties and held from a skyscraper." The other one giggled, "Ya, what's wrong? Ya mommy ain't hold your hand to school today?"

Kit stood in the background, biting her index finger in worry. She had just hoped nothing too out of control would happen.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Elide looked over to the group. She really wasn't in the mood for this, not today. Even though she hated where she came from, right now she wished she was back in England.

She sighed softly, biting her bottom lip. She wasn't one to engage in conflict. She had no one to defend her, anyway. But it just wasn't who she was. Elide knew people talked about her behind her back. After all, she had zero friends, barely spoke and wasn't even from this country. She was small and easy to pick on and she hated it but she never fought back.

But, the comment about her mother actually made her open her mouth and reply for once, "I don't have a mum. And that scenario is completely impossible."

For a split-second, the girls' eyebrows raised a shock, but they went right back down to their normal, pencil-drawn positions. They scoffed and flipped their hair at her, knowing that they weren't getting much of a reaction from Elide anytime soon.

"Whatever, loser," they spoke in disdain as they left the scene.

Kit walked over to Elide, her eyes pointed to her shoes. She spoke in a soft embarrassed mumble. Her cheeks were flushed red with the humiliation of what her "friends" had done.

"Umm, I'm sorry about those two," she apologized quietly, bringing her eyes up to meet Elide's, "they are a bit… rude at best." She slowly extended her hand down to the shorter girl in front of her. "I'm Katherine, but you can call me Kit, what's your name?"

@ElderGod-Carrots

Elide shuffled her feet. No one spoke to her unless they were planning on insulting her, clearly as it has just happened. She'd never been good with people, one of the reasons why she didn't have any friends.

"Um, it's Elide," She mumbled. She looked at Kit's hand, contemplating shaking it before she eventually did. Her hands were warm compared to how cold it was outside and surprisingly soft, "Thanks for um… a-apoligising for your.. friends… b-but you didn't have to… I'm used to it."

@Nie-Huaisang-is-lost-in-the-stars group

Kit smiled softly and shook her head. "'Used to it' does not constitute for okay. It wasn't fair to you." Kit radiated an aura of kindness and compassion. She'd always try to keep on a smile for those who she saw needed it, and from what she could see, Elide certainly did.

"But either way, it's a pleasure to meet you, Elide," Kit said, smiling brighter than ever. "Oh, I have a basketball game this afternoon, you're welcome to watch if you're free this afternoon!" Kit offered, pulling out a flyer from her bookbag and handing it to the shorter girl.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Elide took it with both hands, looking down at the flyer. She'd never really gone to any of the school's social events before. Too loud and crowded and she'd never had anyone to go with so she didn't bother. But Kit seemed so kind and excited it almost felt strange.

"I don't know if it's such a good idea," She swallowed, balling her hands up in her sweater, "You… saw what your friends did, other people will probably do something like that too if I do." If she had friends maybe she would have considered it. But she didn't so what was the point?

@Nie-Huaisang-is-lost-in-the-stars group

"Trust me," Kit said, taking both of Elide's hands, causing her to drop the flyer, "if anything goes wrong I will com running off that court to stop it." Kit was very serious about this and it showed in her eyes. She never wanted to even imagine leaving a perfectly fine person to be alone with no friends all day.

"Besides," she offered, "it could still happen even if you don't go. Why not go somewhere where someone will stop it?" She looked the shorter girl in the eyes, leaning down so that their faces were on the same level.

@ElderGod-Carrots

A light blush coated Elide's cheeks, obvious against her pale skin even if it was just a slight redness, "I um… okay, I'll go." She didn't know what compelled her to say yes. She could have easily said no and just walked home quickly and avoided everyone but, she still said yes.

"Guess I'll see you at the gym later today then?" She offered a small smile, although it it was genuine unlike most of her others.

@Nie-Huaisang-is-lost-in-the-stars group

Kit bounced with excitement. "Yes! Awesome! I'll see ya there!" Kit skipped and hopped away in excitement. Not only did she get to play in a basketball game, but she knew that she had made someone's day better, even only a little.

She spent most the rest of her day like this. High off of happiness. She seemed unstoppable. Her confidence was boosted tenfold, her smile was brighter. She had an overall great schoolday. Then came the big event. The basketball game. Luckily it was a home game so she didn't have to do much travelling, but the thought of losing in front of Elide made her sick and she didn't know why. She just felt an overbearing need to impress the shorter girl.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Elide's day was well, average at best, as it usually was. She spent the day alone, as she normally did but for once she was wishing for school to end for a different reason. She was actually pretty excited for the basketball game, more specifically, watching Kit play. She'd never been excited about these things before, but now she was.

Most of the school seemed to be headed for the gym. Everyone bubbling with excitement, ready to see who would win. The crowd slowly filed into the gym, laughing and cheering already filing the large space. Elide managed to get a seat pretty close to the front, sitting quickly.

@Nie-Huaisang-is-lost-in-the-stars group

Kit stood on the court sidelines, nervous. What if she messed up? Was Elide even watching? She tried her best to shake the worries from her mind, but it proved more difficult than she had imagined. She wanted so badly to impress Elide, but didn't even know why. Was it to make her happy? No. She knew that wasn't it, she knew there was more than that, she just didn't know what the "more" was.

As time ticked closer to the start of the game, Kit began breathing deeply as to calm herself down. She put her hands against her thick collarbone and focused on the movement in her chest. She stayed like this for a little before running onto the court. She quickly skimmed the crowd for sight of Elide, her heart skipping a beat when she saw her in the front, smiling. To Kit, that was all that mattered, that smile on Elide's face, and she was going to do her best to keep it there.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Elide lifted her hand, giving Kit a small wave as she noticed her on the court. A part of her wanted to run up and wish her luck, maybe even give her a hug while she was there. The thought made her blush lightly and her smile grew ever so slightly. She had a good feeling about this game, a feeling she hadn't thought would arise and yet it did.

The siren rang for the start of the game and Elide clapped along with the rest of the school. Her own heart was pounding, anxious to see how the game would plan out. She had her fingers crossed for her school's team, although mainly for Kit. She wanted her to have a good game, and new she probably would. But she silently sent her all her good luck.

@Nie-Huaisang-is-lost-in-the-stars group

Kit dashed into the game, confidence booming. She was unstoppable. Her shoes squeaked and she raced across the court, dribbling and passing the ball to her teammates. Her strides were long and controlled as she made to the other side of the court. She pushed past her enemies who, in comparison to her, were actually quite short. She got the ball one last time, leaped, and dunked it into the hoop. The first score of the game.

The crowd went wild with boos and cheers from both the home and away team. Some say people cheered for the Bobcats, Kit's team, while others say they were just cheering for Kit. Either way, Kit didn't care. She wasn't doing this for the students she didn't know, not for her team, not even for herself. She was playing for Elide, and she was determined to win for her too. She ran a hand through her short hair, a confident smirk pulled across her face.

This game was going to be good, she just knew it.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Soon enough it was half time, the crowd cheering on the Bobcats. They were winning, of course they were. They were playing amazingly as their reputation stated. Elide was actually having a really good time. I mean, she was focusing on Kit the entire time, watching her move and dodge and shoot. She'd never been a lover of sport but she realised then that she liked watching Kit play. She waved the taller girl over, hoping to catch a word with her before the second half started.
