Miguel sighed, “It’s kind of required for me since I major in Biology. Any type of science major requires a math course.” He thought for a moment, “Anything new with you?” He asked.
Miguel sighed, “It’s kind of required for me since I major in Biology. Any type of science major requires a math course.” He thought for a moment, “Anything new with you?” He asked.
“Not much,” he replied. “Though Jared’s throwing a party tonight. You remember my friend Jared, right? I was thinking of going and it’d be cool if you came too.”
“Yeah I remember him.” Miguel answered, “Also sure! It sounds fun, what time is it?”
“It starts at eight, I think,” Alexander answered, still grinning. “It will be fun. Jared’s a pretty cool guy.”
“Okay nice.” Miguel responded. He glanced at his phone to check the time, “We should probably get going, but yeah tonight will be fun.”
“Oh yeah! Don’t want to be late…again,” Alexander chuckled. He was late more than he probably should be, and he didn’t want to be late for the second time that week. “See you later, dude.”
Miguel smiled, "Yeah see you, don't be late." With that, waved and then turned walking to his class which was down the hall.
Alexander headed up a couple flights of stairs quickly, not wanting to be late. He arrived just on time, thankfully, plopping into his seat in the front. He couldn’t wait for Jared’s party, though he knew it was really because he disliked sitting in a desk all day.
Miguel didn't know what to really expect of Jared's party. He didn't know him that well but since Alexander seemed really excited for it, Miguel would go with him. He knew he should probably branch out anyways, Alexander was his only close friend.
The class started and the teacher handed out the tests, which they were to work on throughout the entire class period.
Alexander spent the class period taking notes with his meticulous writing style. He liked writing his notes out on paper; it made them easier to wrap his head around and it just looked nicer. Alexander usually had study groups before hard tests anyway, so whatever he missed one of his friends would probably get.
Jared’s parties weren’t as rowdy as some of Alexander’s friends’ parties (Avery’s parties were always intense), and it usually wasn’t too crowded. But the last time he had gone to one of Jared’s parties it hadn’t exactly been calm either.
Miguel easily understood everything on the test and finished well before some others who were either zoning out or overthinking a problem. He sat in his seat and read his book waiting for the class to finish.
At the end of class, Alexander sighed with relief. He wasn’t entirely sure why he needed this History credit, but English and History did go hand in hand. He strolled out of his classroom, heading down the stairs happily.
Miguel’s next class, Biology was located in a different part of the college so he had to walk a bit. A good thing was that it didn’t start for another thirty minutes which gave plenty him plenty of time to make it there and recheck his homework.
Alexander noticed Miguel and grinned, walking up to him. His next class wasn’t for two hours. He’d wanted something closer to his first class but that wasn’t available. “Hey Miguel!” he said with that wave of his.
Miguel looked up from staring at his homework while walking and tucked it under his arm, “Hey Alexander. Your class isn’t for awhile, right?”
“Yeah, I’ve got a couple of hours to kill, you doing homework?” he asked, though after a moment it was quite obvious that was what Miguel was doing. Duh. Alexander blushed slightly, hoping the other boy didn’t notice.
“Reviewing it, making sure I answered correctly.” He answered looking back at the paper not noticing the other blush. “My class starts in half an hour, it’s in a different building.”
“Sounds cool,” Alexander said. “Mind if I hang with you while I work on my writing assignment?”
Miguel nodded and smiled, “Yeah, sure! How about we go to the benches outside, between this building and the one I have to go to next?”
“Sounds like a plan!” Alexander agreed brightly. He liked sitting outside; it was nice. One of his favorite spots was under a big, shady tree.
“Well come on then.” Miguel answered, walking past him towards the door, using his free hand to motion him. It was quite nice outside today, warm and sunny.
Alexander followed him cheerfully, smiling at the sun on his face. “It’s a nice day today!” he remarked.
Might nodded, smiling back at him, "Yeah, it is isn't it?" Alexander's cheerfulness made his heart soar, his friend was so amazing, maybe Miguel would finally tell him at the party…maybe.
He plopped down on the bench, getting his stuff organized for a moment before pulling out his notebook and a pencil. Alexander always wrote in pencil so he could easily fix his mistakes and could never seem to settle on one thing.
Miguel's attention shifted from the time, Alexander, and the scenery. He glanced at what Alexander was working on, "So what are you working on?" He asked.
