Disclaimer: this title might mislead you into thinking this is a romance. It is not. My character is aroace and interested in platonic, familial, or queerplatonic relationships only.
With that out of the way, let's get started!
Tobias was a robot. They were a good one too, one who did their job and listened and followed to orders to a T, unfeeling and unable to reciprocate affection truthfully. Until they met your character. Now, they're feeling everything at once and it confuses and scares them. However, they must do their duties, so they do. But it becomes infinitely harder when all they can think of is your character.
Tobias is a therapeutic companion robot, designed as a more intelligent therapy dog. Your character is one of the people they are assigned to work with, for whatever reason you can come up with.
Rules are andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)'s. No sexual content at all, I'm a kid. This is not the place for romance so don't try and push it.
We can figure out characters and a template when someone joins.
(I'm possibly interested…if you need someone?)
Hi there! I have to admit…I may have seen platonic and robot and immediately have been interested. I've been craving a platonic rp for quite some time.
Fantastic! So, ideas for a template? Do you want a short, medium, or detailed one?
Hmmmm…It really is up to you. I prefer a template with a detailed section for appearance and only the basics for personality, but if you would like something else I can roll with it. Maybe a detailed if you're looking for one specific choice from me?
Honestly, we can go with semi-detailed if it helps. I'll just put an appearance section up and you can describe however you see fit.

Other: Her brother just passed away a few weeks ago and it's taking a toll on her overall health, mental & physical. Hence why she's working with Tobias
She's lovely! I shall begin, then!
The first day. Tobias felt nothing, as always, just scanned over documents and the new client's profile. Just busy work really, none of it mattered until they actually met the person. She apparently had a dead brother, and that was why the psychiatrist's board of Journey had recommended them to her. Doctors were always checking in on people, giving them medicines and new treatments for various physical and mental health struggles the moment they saw signs of any issues. It was a big project, but now that most medications were plant-based it was fairly easy to mass-grow everything the people needed. The mission was only going to last six years anyways, six years to reach a signal so far and so faint you didn't know if it was really there, to seek out new worlds and places. So far, no luck, but they did estimate it would take six years after all. Tobias knew the toll this took on many of the residents, it was a noble cause, but difficult to deal with the stress when you were part of the crew or if, very likely, a family member was on the crew. About one fourth of Journey's residents worked for the crew, and more still worked for the corporations sponsoring this mission. Very few were unemployed, only those who either could not pick up jobs or were not qualified for jobs. This could make things difficult, but almost everyone found work. And since half the work was taken care of by various bots, Tobias knew that it wasn't grueling work at all. But it wasn't like them to care about these things. Really, they were just analyzing the whole situation, but were getting very close to overthinking.
Overthinking was bad, so they stopped at once. It wasn't good for them or their circuits. But Tobias still didn't know how the brother had died. It was apparently requested to have been kept a mystery. All fine, but that did make things a bit difficult. They needed to know the full situation before understanding how to help. One month, one month until the ship reached the Event Horizon. They should be seeing things by now, but apparently not. Tobias shook the thought off, picked up their suitcase, and went to work. When they arrived at the client's home, it was with their creator, Elias Mitchell. They would stay for the boring parts, just to monitor, and leave once the session started. Privacy and all, they didn't have clearance to witness actual sessions yet. Like they needed to. Elias Mitchell was just a bit overbearing, though it was unbecoming to think such thoughts of their creator. They were good to them, after all. Tobias knocked at the door, and waited.
Aliah didn't want anything to do with the therapy bot that had been assigned to her. She didn't want to have to relive the painful days after her brother's death. She didn't want to be pulled out of work and have actual free time to go through her thoughts, and yet here she was, sitting in her home, willing herself to do anything but think about the meeting that was supposed to start any minute.
Her home was only partially cleaned, though she didn't have the motivation to do more than clear out spaces to sit and shove everything else aside. Aliah's own state wasn't much better either. She was dressed in her maintenance uniform still from work, her hair was pulled up in a half attempted bun, and there were clear dark circles under her eyes. All things that had gotten worse when her brother had passed away. The rest of the physical effects were more hidden. She had gotten thinner after not eating much, and she could tell just how…empty and exhausted she felt.
Hopefully, the meeting would go quickly and she could muster up the energy to make it seem like she was alright. Just long enough to be cleared for work again at least. As there was a knock at the door though, that didn't seem likely. Either way, she'd try.
"Coming," She called, even if her voice wasn't horribly loud, forcing herself to stand and walk to the door. Aliah opened it as normally as she could, keeping the sluggishness out of her movement as she tried to pull the corners of her mouth up into a smile. "You must be the ones they assigned to me?"
"I won't be staying long. Just monitoring to make sure S-01 doesn't malfunction and kill us all."
"That will not be an issue, creator. Hello, I am Subject S-01, or, Tobias." a little girl had named them that, and it had stuck. She also had family members who had died. It would be more difficult to handle the emotions of an adult than a child, but they would manage.
"I take it you are not enthusiastic to see me? Your body language and tone suggest you are not, but then again, they are different for each person and I could easily be mistaken in your unique case. Trauma causes many interesting things to happen to the body, after all."
"Come in you two, take a seat," She started, stepping away from the door to allow them to come in. It startled her how accurately this robot had already gathered how she felt about the meetings but all she did was shrug and hope the same small smile from before still showed. "I wasn't very happy to be pulled out of work if that counts," She said, closing the door behind the two of them.
It was not going to be easy to convince this robot that she was fine. Or at least well enough to have these meetings stop. But even at the thought of her brother, she wanted to do nothing more than curl up in a ball and cry. Not something a patient that was fine would do. But they didn't need to know that.
"I assume you are feeling very distressed. Please fill out this paperwork, whilst I go make us a cup of tea." the robot held up a bag filled with various supplies made for comfort, and reached inside. When the hand withdrew, there was a tablet screen with a questionnaire and some forms to sign, laid out neatly and easily understood.
"I will return shortly." Tobias said, nodding to the woman. She was clearly very distressed, and some tea would do her good. Even if the clients never drank it, it was the show of affection that counted, Tobias found.
(sorry its a tad shorter than my other responses)
Aliah accepted the tablet as she took a seat on her well-worn couch. She nodded in response to what Tobias said, then silently set to work filling out everything he mentioned. It took her a little while to get everything done, though it was mostly because she debated time after time about how much to tell him about her brother's death. It was something that had been kept quiet, and her brother had insisted it be that way. And now she had to potentially go against what he had asked and talk to someone about it.
Tobias returned with a cup and pot of Earl Gray, laid out on the table in front of Aliah neatly. "I see you have finished filling out these forms. Now, I am legally obligated to tell you that anything we speak about in these meetings will be entirely confidential, unless someone else or yourself may come into harm otherwise. You may tell me anything, I will not judge you. If you have any complaints, you can report them to Simulacra industries."
"And this is where I take my leave." Elias Mitchell said, standing up with a groan of effort on their old bones, and left to allow them their session. "Good day to you both." and then they left, giving the two space to start their meeting.
Tobias began to pick up the clutter, puttering about the room in a casual way, cleaning up after Aliah's mess. "Do you have any other family on this station?" it was a good opening question, one that could potentially distract from the main issue at hand.
(Allllllso, is the industry you're using based off of one from a set of video games by chance? the name is eerily familiar lol)
"Good day to you too." She waved to the man as he left, sighing as she stared at the pot of tea in front of her. "No, it was just me and my brother," Aliah started, looking up and studying Tobias as they cleaned up her home. She felt guilty for leaving it in such a state, and even more so that they were picking up after her. Still, she didn't feel the motivation to help. Hopefully, her motivation would come back soon. Otherwise, it was going to be hard to focus on doing any task for work.
Her eyes focused back on the pot of tea and she went silent. She had nothing to ask Tobias, and she figured they would direct the meeting. Aliah just settled onto her spot on the couch and stared at the tea, watching a tiny stream of steam spiral out.
(I don't play video games so I wouldn't know. I just thought the name sounded cool.)
When Tobias finished decluttering, they moved to look through the kitchen, sorting through near-empty cupboards and food that had already rotted beyond reason to keep it there. Aliah really must have been quite a mess. Tobias threw away the old food (of which there was much) and went to sit in front of the woman with a tablet and tablet pen. "We are going to make a grocery list, and then we are going to go shopping." they said. They weren't curious about her brother's death like any human would be, and they weren't really supposed to be a therapist. They were there to help get Aliah back on her feet, and that was what they were going to do. A quick walk to the local supermarket would do her some good, the exercise was helpful for physical health and thus would make mental recovery all the easier.
(Ah ok)
Aliah barely glanced up as Tobias sat in front of her, zoned out for a moment before she snapped back to reality. She was a little surprised to hear that they were going to go shopping for groceries, seeing as she had expected more talking, but she was relieved at the same time. "Right…groceries," She replied, nodding slowly, "Ah, I suppose I just need the basics…I don't usually make a list. It's easier to just go look and see what I think I need." Leaning back in her seat, she looked around her newly tidied home. Already it looked much better and even if she was sure it wouldn't stay that way for long, she felt strangely relieved that it didn't look like a dump.
