“So now we just wait until they come back?” He asked softly.
“So now we just wait until they come back?” He asked softly.
"Yeah…" Arien closed his eyes, focusing on Rafael's heartbeat for now. He didn't want to get up again, not ever.
“Okay….” he hoped Elliot actually fessed up for what he did. If he didn’t…Rafael didn’t even want to imagine how terrible things would end up.
Arien hoped so too. He nuzzled closer, falling silent. It was a few hours before there was another knock at the door, and Arien had fallen asleep in that time.
Hearing the knock, Rafael shook Arien gently. “They’re here.” He said quietly.
Arien slowly opened his eyes.
"Mm..? Oh…" Arien got up, taking his time. He was stalling.
“Everything’s going to be okay.” He reassured, standing up from the couch.
"Mm… Yeah…" Arien took Rafael's hand in his own, slowly making his way to the door.
Rafael squeezed his hand, letting him take his time. He didn’t blame Arien for wanting to stall.
Finally Arien brought them to the door. He opened it, and all of his friends were there. Elliot was at the front.
"Hey…"
Rafael stayed quiet, but gave Arien’s hand another quick squeeze.
Arien let out a long sigh. He could see everyone giving Rafael death stares. Well, not Elliot. He was looking down at his feet.
"Come on, let's get this cleared up." Arien stepped to the side, letting everyone in.
Rafael didn’t need to be able to see right then. He could feel everyone’s eyes on him. He stayed by Arien’s side as the others made their way in.
Soon, everyone was sat down, and Elliot moved to the middle of the group.
"So,' Daine spoke up. "Just what's going on, Rafael?*"
“Well…” he began, still holding onto Arien’s hand. “Basically what happened is Elliot broke into the house while Arien was asleep, threatened me, and then put a spell on me to make me hate Arien.”
The friends all fell silent, looking at Elliot.
"I… y-yeah, that's what happened…"
Rafael leaned back into the couch. He did feel a bit bad for Elliot but there wasn’t really anything he could do about it.
There was… an uproar. For a moment, it would seem Arien's friends would tear Elliot to pieces in that very moment. Arien flinched back at Elliot's words. Even if he had been told this, it still hurt to hear from Elliot himself.
Rafael wanted to intervene but didn’t know how, so he stayed back, pulling Arien closer to him.
Arien buried his head in Rafael's shoulder. Eventually the shouting died down, with no one hurt yet.
(Nuuuu Arien… How dare you hurt him Elliot. D: )
Rafael ran a soothing hand through Arien’s hair as the shouting continued. As soon as it was finished, Rafael spoke. “He was only doing what he thought was right for Arien. And as soon as he realized it wasn’t right, he lifted the spell.” He offered.
Arien kept his face hidden. He was glad he had Rafael here with him during this, that's for sure.
"He should have realized it wasn't right the moment he did it," Bruno said.
"Or when he realized what Arien was doing- we told him right away."
Elliot stayed silent.
Rafael merely shrugged, leaning back in his seat again. That was what he had to contribute for the moment apparently.
Arien slowly opened his eyes.
"Why did you think it was good for me, Elliot?" His voice was low, dangerous. Elliot had taken Rafael away from him. Elliot flinched back some.
"I…"
