((Uh oh ;-;))
Rafael opened his eyes, looking down at Arien. “Do you want me to go get that?” He asked. He wondered briefly who it would be at this hour before assuming it was probably just one of Arien’s friends.
(It's someone you've come to know very well :DD)
Arien looked up, one eye open.
"Mm… Yes, please," he mumbled. He didn't figure it was anyone dangerous, after all.
((UH OH))
((I have a guess and I’m hoping that the guess is wrong ;w;))
“Okay I’ll be right back then.” He said, kissing the top of Arien’s head before getting up carefully. Rafael walked out of the living room, opening up the front door with unfortunately no hesitation.
Standing at the door was… a god. This god in particular wasn't even trying to hide that fact, the sun above his head in plain view.
"Where's Elliot?" Astral demanded.
((I hate being right ;w;))
“H-he’s not here.” Rafael said, more than a little shocked by the appearance of…well whatever this being was. Rafael did quickly assume that Astral was a god, despite not knowing who he was.
(<333)
Astral frowned, glaring down at Rafael. He wasn't going to bother with the nice facade right now. His witch was missing.
"Funny, last I checked, he was here fucking with you and the vampire."
“He was but that was days ago and we haven’t seen him since then.” Rafael said, trying to stay calm.
"Well, then, you'll have no problem with me coming in and checking then, will you?" Astral said, voice sharp. He pushed Rafael to the side easily, stepping into the home.
“Well okay then..” Rafael mumbled under his breath, just letting the god brush past him. Thankfully they had nothing to hide. He followed behind Astral anxiously, wanting to call out to Arien but not doing so.
Astral paid no mind to Rafael, coming into the house. Arien sat up, about to ask who it was when he spotted Astral. The vampire scrambled to his feet, hurrying over to Rafael and quickly putting an arm around him.
Rafael was reassured to have Arien back at his side, able to relax ever so slightly. He didn’t ask questions right now but he’d have plenty of them later.
Arien stood with Rafael, keeping close. He wasn't relaxed in the slightest as Astral went further into the house, holding his lover to his chest.
"I-I…"
Rafael found Arien’s hand with his, giving it a gentle squeeze, trying to reassure him that everything would be okay. They didn’t have anything to hide..right?
They didn't but that wouldn't stop Astral from doing whatever he wanted to them. He put his head gently against Rafael's shoulder, closing his eyes as Astral could be heard moving throughout the house and shouting for Elliot.
“It’s gonna be okay..” he said quietly into Arien’s ear, quickly kissing his cheek. At least he hoped it would be.
Arien nodded just slightly, tucking his head further against Rafael's neck.
Astral came back out after some time, frowning some.
"If you see Elliot, kill him," he said, completely serious.
Rafael just nodded silently, not sure what really else to say. He had a million questions but he had no idea if he could ask any of them without this guy killing him too.
"Y-Yes sir," Arien said, pulling his head from Rafael's shoulder to dip it low in respect. Astral was leaving when he caught sight of the old burn mark on Arien's hand, smirking as he walked out the door.
Rafael waited until it seemed like Astral really was gone before turning to Arien. “Are you okay?” He had so many questions but he wanted to make sure Arien was alright first.
"I… yeah," Arien said softly. He hugged Rafael, tucking his head close to the other.
Rafael closed and locked the front door before wrapping his arms around the other. “Who was that?” He asked, worried by how shaken Arien seemed.
"He's… Astral," Arien said softly. "He's the… t-the god of the sun."
That alone would be enough to explain why Arien wouldn’t like him. “Why was he looking for Elliot?” He asked.
"Elliot… always said he was one of the god's souls, but I don't know what all that means," Arien said softly. "He said… the god gave him his powers?"
(Also clarification, no Elliot is not a Claimed soul. This is something different uwu)
((Got it uwu))
Of course, Rafael didn’t seem to have any better idea of what it all meant than Arien did. “What do you think Elliot did to make him mad?”
"I don't know," Arien admitted softly. "I'm worried…" The vampire kept his head tucked close, holding onto Rafael for a moment.
“It’s gonna be okay..” Rafael reassured, hugging Arien tightly. He just hoped the god wouldn’t come back.
Arien hugged back, keeping his head tucked close. He tensed as there was another knock at the door, head going up.
Rafael was almost afraid to answer the door, holding Arien a bit tighter and waiting to see if the person on the other side would announce themselves.
