( Don't worry, it's nothing at all! )
Jack got up, at that moment. "Woman, don't you hear anything that I say to you!?" He exclaimed, though he knew the answer to it. He stood up, shakily, and sighed to himself. He'd retreat, for now, and stalk for another day. Surely the next day would be a better day for him to target her. He, as he tried to re-approach the stairs, hobbled down.
She stood up and inched towards the bathroom door. She swiftly swung the door open and shut as she slid into the bathroom and locked the door, letting out a quiet hiss of pain. She then stacked two metal containers, the metal toothbrush cup and the metal soap tray right in the door, that would fall when he opened it. If she was still upstairs, she’d be able to feel the vibrations. Then she padded on to the main bedroom door that gave way to the hallway. There she stood for a few moments, heart thundering, hand on the doorknob. If she opened the door and he was still in the hall, she was screwed.
Jack stood at the bottom of the stairs, relaxing a little bit. Tensions seemed to be less intense if he was down here. He walked towards a different wall, and slid down it instead of continuing standing. He felt a lot calmer, maybe even serene. He looked down at his leg and shook his head. "Disgusting, I can't believe this happened." He scorned himself for the wound.
(So, hey. I'm so unbelievably sorry for dropping off the face of the earth like that, I really am. Are you still up for continuing this?)
(Hey! Hope you're doing okay, and that quarantine isn't too hard on you! I really hope you're alright and, although there is zero pressure to come back, I've been missing you! Once again, stay safe and healthy, and hopefully see you soon!)
