It seemed like computers had their own type of magic to Hannah. That's one of the reasons why she works to repair the damage done to them by careless or forgetful owners. She preferred to do it by hand rather than over the phone for a couple of reasons. One: if the problem was simple enough to fix that way, then there was no challenge. Two: talking someone through a process she could do in her sleep was tedious and annoying.
She could honestly go on a whole rant about why she prefers the more technical problems as opposed to dealing with the people. But at the same time, she could get lost in the ”Matrix” and lose track of time.
Maddi landed on the outside of the apartment, sticking to the wall outside her apartment. She stuck above the window, looking in and waiting for Jensen to go for a shower. When he finally did, she climbed into the apartment and took her mask off. As quickly as she could, she pulled off her costume and shoved it into her side of the wardrobe in the back of a drawer. She heard Jensen get out of the shower and begin to open the door, so she grabbed one of his hoodies and pulled it on, reaching mid-thigh.
(ive been creating a playlist for maddi recently to get inspo for her character and stuff, if you wanna listen)
(Looks really cool! I’ll try to listen to it soon.)
Finishing another computer program Hannah managed to tear her eyes away from the screen long enough to send Maddi a text.
’didn't hit any walls on the way home this time didja? 😜’
This was just in time for Jensen to walk into the main room of the apartment, wearing only a pair of sweatpants. They had a small apartment: the siblings were used to seeing each other a little bare. "Oh, you got home while I was in the shower?"
"Yeah, sorry." Maddi felt her phone buzz, but she ignored it. "Dinner?"
‘P.S. tell your cute brother I said Hi.’
Hannah giggled at that message as she sent it. Maddi knew she wasn't really interested in dating Jensen. She just enjoyed teasing her best friend a little too much sometimes. Her stomach growled a bit loudly in the empty room. Hannah didn't really have anything left to do for her financial job and the scanner hadn't gone off for anything serious… Finally making up her mind, she walked into her little kitchen and reheated some leftover Chinese food.
As if on cue, Jensen's stomach growl. "Yeah, let's cook something."
Maddi always enjoyed Jensen's cooking. It was hard not to: he'd gone to culinary school and pass with almost perfect marks. Even though he could have gone to a really high-class restaurant, he decided to work for his best friend instead. He enjoyed it, which was the main thing.
The siblings only ever had home-cooked meals: they very rarely ate takeaway. Jensen got to cooking some beef stirfry.
As much as she appreciated the quiet days, with no serious criminal activity, Hannah was a bit bored. She had finished fixing her client's computer and was now sitting on her old Lazy-boy, watching Lord of the Rings with a magic tome floating at chest height and her most recent school assignment on the table next to her.
A familiar meow quickly drew her attention to the window. ”Hello, Merlin.” she smiled as the orange tabby jumped into her lap. ”I hope you're not here to steal my teriyaki.”
As Jensen got to working cooking their dinner, Maddi sat down and started to work on a school assignment. She was a good student, but she was really struggling with this one. She blamed it on the teacher switch half-way through the year, with the new teacher being incapable of teaching and having taught them nothing so far.
