"No, I would not want to peak. I would be terrified and run away. No matter if you saw me or not, you should not have followed me." She turned to her brother. "Oh, Aloysius! Zephyr will have my head for this!"
"No, I would not want to peak. I would be terrified and run away. No matter if you saw me or not, you should not have followed me." She turned to her brother. "Oh, Aloysius! Zephyr will have my head for this!"
Ava went silent for a moment. Looking around them some more but not letting her eyes fall in Amore. “I knew about the Gods and all but just wow,” she whispered. “Now what?”
"Now you shall answer to Zephyr," Amore hissed, her gaze darkened. "He shall decide what to do with you. And there will be anarchy if a mere human is the reason that the Goddess of Love is dead."
Cat's eyebrows knit together. "Why would you be dead?" she asked finally looking up at Amore. "Plus its not your fault you didnt know I was there."
"Humans are forbidden to be in Olympus!" Amore yelled. "It does not matter if I did not know you followed me: you're here because of my portal! Zephyr will have my head: no matter if you came here on your own accord!"
Cat flinched slightly from the yelling. She backed up. "He doesn't need to know you could just zap me back," She tried arguing. "No one else will need to know I'm here."
"That is not how this works," Aloysius bellowed, his voice always loud. "You will have to answer to Zephyr. A human can only enter a godly portal if a god enters before them, and no god wishes to travel to the human world. Amore's time in the human world is up for the moment, she shall not return for many days."
Cat bit the inside of her cheek. "Ok then…Can I go talk to Zephyr? This place seems great but I really should get going. bet I can come up with a lie that keeps us all safe," She said attempting a smile.
"You cannot talk to Zephyr, you will be judged by him. And he can see through any lie: no god can keep the truth from him." Aloysius bent down and picked Cat up by the scruff of her neck, holding the tops of her clothes. His hand was much bigger than her, but small enough to let him do this.
Cat wiggled slightly fighting him. She gave up after a moment realizing fighting a god probably won't help her case. She ended up just folding her arms and allowed Aloysius to carry her,
Cyrene and Akilah finally arrived. They had no idea what was going on but could see that Amore was distressed. They were about to question but saw Cat swinging in Aloysius' fingers.
Cat stayed quiet but did give an awkward wave to the two new gods. Her lips pressed together as she tried to resist the urge to fight against Aloysius’ hold.
Aloysius held on to Cat, unaware that she wanted to be released from his grip. In fact, even if he did, he wouldn't let her go. This was the easiest way to keep a hold of the human without hurting her, especially with the size of his hands.
"Hey, can we like get going so you can put me down?" She asked trying not to sound to winey or disrespectful.
Aloysius lifted his hand, looking at the tiny human. "Such humans shall not order me around. No human shall give me, Aloysius God of War, orders."
She put her hands up in a surrendering gesture. "Sorry I was just asking," She mumbled.
"Your questions are quite stupid, young human. May I ask: how old are you? And what might your name be?" It was very rare that Aloysius showed human-like emotions: he was always angry and mostly emotionless.
"I'm 21and my names Grace," She lied about her name but gave no sign of it in her face. She realized that she probably gave her name to Carys/Amore but she wasn't about to willingly give it over now.
"I would recommend you not lie, human," Akilah said softly. "There is no way to lie to me. I know every truth. I am not on your side here - I will tell Zephyr if you are lying. So I recommend you choose the truth."
Cat bit her lip. "My names Caterina," She said looking down her arms still crossed. She swung her legs slightly but didn't squirm or try to escape.
