(Completely understandable, welcome back!)
Ryoto attempted to follow along with what his teacher was saying, but god did he talk fast. He worked with the bits and pieces he could understand and began doing his worksheet. He barely had time to start when the bell rang, Man that teacher talked a lot… He thought with a sigh to himself and began heading to his next class. Awesome! He thought again, I get to see Finley again!
(Thank you!)
Finley smiled, glad the class was over. He shot out of his chair and walked out of class. He was always one of the first to leave. He remembered Ryoto was in the next class, and that made him walk just a little faster. He got to the class and waited by the door for Rye.
Rye glanced up from his paper with the room numbers on them and noticed Finley standing by the door of a classrom, he smiled, I guess this is where my next class is then! He thought before quickly walking up to Finley, "Hey Finley, what's up?"
"Oh hey! I was actually waiting for you. Let's go inside the class so we have two desks next to each other." Finley said, motioning for Ryoto to come inside with him.
"Thanks!" Ryoto replied and followed Finley into the classroom where they sat in seats next to each other near the back.
(Should their lunch period be after 3rd period? I think it fits there and it'll give Rye and Finley another chance to see each other before 5th period.)
(Sounds good to me!)
Just another class. Finley just listened to the teacher talk and didn't really do much else. He did keep glancing to Ryoto. The teacher handed out a paper and asked people to work together on it. Finley looked at Rye, hoping they could work together.
Ryoto looked over at Finley and smiled once he realized that they had the same ideas as each other. He scooted his desk a bit closer, "Um so what are we doing again? I kinda zoned out…" He asked
"You know what… I don't know either. The paper should say something about what we're doing." Finley said as he started reading through the paper.
Ryoto looked at the paper, "Oh yeah…looks like we're typing up a report on Mount Everest…"
(Honestly I had no ideas so I'm just like welp my English class had to write reports on Mount Everest before winter break started so here we are…)
"Ugh… why can't we do something that is actually worth knowing… like world issues or something?" Finley said frowning. He saw students going to get laptops so he stood up. "I'll get one for you." He said turning away to get them without the frown anymore.
“True. World issues are more important…” He answered. Ryoto smiled, “Thanks Finley!” He called after him.
Finley came back with two computers and set one in front of Ryoto with a smile. "You're welcome." He opened it and got it started. "So, I guess we should start with research, yes?"
Rye nodded and opened his laptop, “Yeah we should.” He replied.
"K. I'll do you want to research the first half or the second half?" Finley asked. There were two parts to the report and if the divided up the work it wouldn't be as much.
"It doesn't matter to me, I'll do whatever you don't want to do." He responded.
"I could care less about what we're doing so I guess you can do the second part and I'll do the first," Finley said as he started a document and shared it with Ryoto so they could have everything in one place.
"Okay, sounds good." Rye replied and opened up his email to get onto the shared document.
Finley sighed and started researching. No matter how much he hates work, he's good at researching so this part was going to be pretty easy for him.
(Sorry, I haven't been very active recently. Would you like to continue this? And if so, time skip?")
(It's totally okay! I'd be down to continue it so yeah, time skip works for me.)
(Sounds good, I'll skip to lunch)
Ryoto was working in his third hour class when he heard the bell ring, Awesome! He thought as he stood up, Time for lunch! He grabbed his things and began heading to his locker.
Finley shot out of his seat as he heard the bell ring. He was very much ready for lunch and very much tired of his third-hour class. He was probably the first to leave the classroom, the teacher didn't even bother making him stay after. Finley was already halfway to the cafeteria before the mass of high school kids got there.
Rye put his things away and grabbed his lunch box before starting to head to the cafeteria, dodging the mass of students crowding the way.
Finley was already actually sitting down by the time he spotted Ryoto. He had pulled out his ramen and started getting it ready for the microwave. He saw Rye and waved to him, hoping the male would see him. Finley was all over when it came to who he sat with at lunch. Some days he sits with the girls from drill, sometimes with the dance team, sometimes alone, and sometimes with the theater kids since they don't judge him, at least not as much. Maybe with Rye being here, Finley won't feel so out of place.
Out of the corner of his eye, Ryoto noticed Finley waving at him. He smiled and waited for his conversation with another student to end before he made his way over to the other, "Hey Finley! Everyone is so nice at this school, it's great."
