Lyra shook her head and pulled up the police scanner on the monitor, "Not yet. At least not anything big." She flipped her hair back with her wind powers and smirked at him, "So Starburst…you got anything going on in that empty head of yours?"
"I have a lot of things in my head right now, for your information. It's hardly ever empty." He chuckled as he spoke, before moving over to the police scanner and listening to see if there was anything that needed their help. "we could always do something small, or go on patrol to make sure we don't miss anything."
Lyra smiled and nodded, "Sure you do. Let's go on patrol. Wanna get out of this place anyways." She stood up and tilted her head, "Where are we patrolling?" Lyra could control the wind enough that she could fly.
He chuckled softly, stretching his arms and hands out. He popped his knuckles and then moved to head towards the exit where he just entered from. "hm … probably downtown."
"Race you there." Lyra took off through the air with a smirk. She raced to downtown channeling her wind powers. Ignoring the hair whipping in her face. When she got to the Central Bank, she perched on the edge of the roof waiting for him.
"Hey!" He chuckled, running off after her as she used her abilities to her advantage. He decided to take a short cut, quickly disappearing behind her. Then appearing behind her again when she perched on the roof top, "Boo!"
Lyra didn't even jump, she just pushed him, "Dork." She scanned the area and saw nothing so she relaxed. Looking up at him with a smirk, "So…you manage to meet anyone yet or are you still looking for love?" She loved teasing him about his love life, which to her seemed non-existent.
(Wait is he I love with her, as a sidekick or the other way around)
(Im pretty sure he's in love with her as the sidekick, but he knows she probably dosent like her back, so he's trying to think about someone else to escape the heartbreak.)
He chuckled, not moving much when she pushed him. He looked away from her when she started prodding into his personal life, he didn't mind of course…it was just this question specifically.
"Oh, I haven't met anyone yet. I mean, I met this girl today, but I doubt she'd be interested in me. What about you?"
Lyra shrugged, "Maybe." She stopped talking when she heard alarms going off. Shots were fired inside the banks. Lyra looked at him, "Well…better take care of that." She headed towards the bank.
"Yeah, probably." He chuckled, launching himself off of the rooftop towards the bank that was being robbed, immediately rolling into the scene, and as if a flashbang was thrown, he immediately released enough sunlight to blind people temporarily while she made her way inside.
Lyra ran into the bank with fireballs hovering over her hands. She quickly assessed the scene. 2 men were threatening people onto the floor while 3 other men waved guns into the bank tellers faces while they put money in their bag. Lyra scowled, she never understood why some men thought it was ok to go around using their strength for harm.
Meanwhile, one of the men saw them and started at them. Lyra sighed, it wasn't a super villian so it wasn't much of a challenge. Deciding not to light the dude on fire, she summoned wind to throw him into the wall.
He made his way from the ground, and quickly took out the two men with guns, making sure they wouldn't fire at Lyra or any of the hostages. He kicked their guns away from them and put them in binds made of pure sunlight.
"Those won't hurt you unless you try to get rid of them. They won't come off unless I say so, got it?" he spoke, firmly. He then made sure all the hostages were okay, and that none of them were injured.
Lyra quickly took care of the other men and by that time the police were there. After making sure the men were taken into custody, Lyra looked around for the other hero. Once she found him she poked his shoulder, "You ok?"
