She finished changing quickly and walked to the kitchen humming softly and leaning on the counter next to him, "What are you making?" She asked.

He sighed and scratched the back of his head "eggs with ham, cheese and chives. And then waffles…but I have no clue how to make them…"

"Well, let's try to figure it out." She said with a smile, starting to look for anything that looked like it could help them attempt to make waffles.

He bunched his mouth to the side in thought "I think k I might have an I deal on where to start." He walked off down a hall and started rummaging through some things

Avalin nodded and continued searching as he walked away, starting to hum again, "I haven't found anything that looks like it could help here," She called to him.

He pulled out a cook book and went back to the kitchen "I think this might help, if not, we'll make pancakes."

"Alright," She said, smiling before going over to the eggs and making sure they weren't burning, "Either pancakes or waffles sound amazing."

He shut the book and sighed "pancakes, we're making payments cakes." He set the book aside and got out another pan

She nodded and watched him curiously, starting to hum softly, "How do you make them? It doesn't look too difficult." She picked up the book and flipped through it, smiling brightly, "Some of these things don't seem that difficult to make."

(Lmao I can't spell…XD)
"Box mix and milk, problem is getting the proportions right." He glanced over her shoulder "not really, want to make some? We can stop by some of the stores for the ingredients."

"It's alright, we don't have to." She looked up at him and smiled, "I can help with the proportions or the milk and box mix, I did used to work in the kitchen."

He nodded and kissed her cheek before getting the measuring cups. He handed her the cups and got out a bowl and the box mix

She took the cups and started measuring out the mix with a smile, dumping what she assumed was the right amount in the bowl.

"Alright and then the milk," He passed her the gallon "and then just stir."

"You don't have to add anything else?" She asked, adding the milk and starting to stir as she looked up at him.

He shook his head "no, it doesn't say to add anything else." He showed her the box and the instructions on the side "I guess toppings, but nothing else inside the mix itself."

She looked at the box curiously and nodded, "I guess you don't, I've never seen a mix like that," she turned back to stirring and soon the mixture was how it was supposed to be.

"I think it might've been better to go to lilian's" he joked

She smiled and shook her head, "Nope, I used to do this for my job, we can get it to work,"

He nodded, "Who knew my queen could be a miracle worker?"

"I wouldn't say I'm a miracle worker." she said with a laugh, pointing to the batter, "What do we do with this now?"

"add some butter to the pan and pour the batter in…I think." He said pointing to a heated pan on the stove

She nodded and headed to the pan with the bowl, putting a little butter into the pan before adding some of the batter.

Loki wrapped his arms around her waist and leaned his head against hers "my savior." He muttered softly

"My king," She placed a small kiss on his cheek and turned back to the food, waiting for it to cook.
