Casey opened the door to find a short, blonde-haired boy. Lloyd Windsor. She welcomed him into her apartment with a small smile that didn't reach her eyes. Apartment was an understatement. It was 3,000 square feet and lavishly decorated, and that was only the first floor. “Come in Lloyd,” she said. “Have a seat.”
Lloyd obeyed and set down his laptop bag next to his chair, looking around the apartment. He hadn't been in here before, and it was pretty intriguing. He still kept an eye on his bag out of habit to make sure it stayed safe and near him. There were a lot of important things in there. "So… uh, what exactly do you need me for? The letter was a bit vague, which I understand of course. Wouldn't want important information falling into the wrong hands…"
((Mox, I follow the same role as last time right?))
Cameron ran his fingers through his hair a couple times to make himself look decent, wrote a note to his sleeping sisters for the morning and walked out. His keys jingled in his hand and he made a beeline for his garage, clicking open the door and rounding it to see his motorcycle. It'd get him across town fast enough. As he got on, he disregarded the absolute blowout of rage Casey would have if he was late, and just sped off, sand spewing up from behind the tires. He started on a quick path to Casey's apartment, knowing the way like the back of his hand.
Luca approached the top floor, snapping her gum as she did so. Her body hummed with excitement that she didn't outwardly show just yet. Casey always had the best jobs for her. Ones that were equally challenging and dangerous. She wondered idly what this one would be and if she called in the regular team. It would be nice to see everyone again, it had honestly been too long since they'd gone on a mission together.
Stopping at the door to Casey's place, she typed in her code, scanned her finger, and unlocked the door with her key. She did this all mechanically, a rather bland expression on her pretty face. She had done this so many times she could do it with her eyes closed now.
Breezing through the door she called up to Casey, "Hey Boss! I'm here."
Lloyd jumped a bit at the arrival of a new person. (I'm gonna say he doesn't really know her) He looked up to see who it was, and he recognized her. He couldn't quite put a name to her face, but he'd seen her once or twice before. Best to keep quiet for now… I don't know if I can trust her. Lloyd kept one hand on his laptop bag, still watching the newcomer distrustfully.
Cinthia ran silently over the roof of Cortel's home, then jumped down and landed in a neat crouch. She checked and rechecked her weapons, fingers brushing over her precious daggers, Gauna and Ngami. There was a distinction between the two, if a bit slight. Guana's blades had a blackish tint to them, while Ngami's blades had a light silver tint that was especially noticeable in the moonlight. She pulled her mask farther up her nose and knocked on the door.
Though she had her dark gray contacts in and was currently covered head to toe in dark clothing, she was relatively recognizable by those that knew her particular style. Her curly hair was braided the best it could be braided and neatly tucked under her heavy hood. The black leather of her knee-length coat was trimmed with moonlight silver embroidery, and a moon was stitched into the middle of her hood, right over her forehead. Her black boots were near silent on all surfaces and came up to her knees, hugging her legs and leaving only a small portion of her black, stretchy pants to be visible. Her hands, of course, were covered with thin gloves that allowed for breathability but still saved her from the touch of others.
Casey smiled a small, genuine, rare smile. “Hello Luca.” At the sound of a knock, she turned to the boy in the chair. She noticed he had clutched his laptop bag at the sight of someone new. He was either very smart or very stupid. Or perhaps both. “Lloyd, be a dear and answer the door, thanks.”
Lloyd nodded and answered the door, letting Cinthia in. (Did you see Dances_with_Shadows chat about basically not being here? Idk if they'll be responding to this rp or not) He was still remaining silent for now, seeing no reason to speak, but he dipped his head to acknowledge the new person. He didn't like that he had to look up at her, but hey. That's how life is when you're a 5'6" guy.
(I'll try to respond to this every once in a while, as its a group roleplay, but no promises on consistent replies)
(It’s okay)
Plopping herself down onto one of the couches, Luca grinned, snapping her gum once more. There was a glint in her eye, most would describe as 'crazy', but it was just her general excitement over doing something illegal. She hummed as she checked out the boy Casey had spoken to. Lloyd she had called him? He was definitely new and Luca wondered idly what he would bring to the team.
Lloyd noticed Lucas examining him, but he didn't call attention to it. He just put his laptop bag back to where it was before, wondering how many people Casey had invited. He was aware that she sort of had a team, which he was sure were the ones invited, but he was the most recent member and he didn't know them. Well, he recognized most of them, but he didn't really know any of them personally yet. I'm sure we'll have to cooperate for whatever Casey's got in store… here's hoping that I don't absolutely despise them.
Cinthia stepped into the room and shut the door behind her, keeping relatively quiet as she did so. "You called," she drawled from behind her mask. She tugged at her gloves, making sure they were snug around her hands and covering her wrists. Her eyes flitted around the room, mentally noting the other two that were currently in the room with Cortel.
"I did," Casey said. She gestured for Cinthia to sit. "We have one more member of our team that needs to arrive." She sat back in her chair, her eyes glittering. "And then we can begin." A million gears had been turning in her head since the phone call, planning and plotting and preparing.
Cameron hastily jumped off of his still growling-motorcycle, turning it off quickly and running up the apartment complex two steps at a time. He cleared the fingerprint and cornea test, walking in, still somewhat breathless as he shut the door and sat in his seat next to Casey.
"Hey all. Sorry for the wait." He grinned his goofy grin.
Luca huffed, anxious to get the party started. "About time." She had been picking at her nails as she lounged. Although she was much less relaxed than she appeared, only her eyes, which glittered like lightning, gave away her nervous excitement.
"You're here now," Casey said, a small moment of grace. "I was recently contacted about a job. A job I decided I would need a team for. None of this information may leave this apartment. Or else" She laughed a little. "Well. I don't need to remind you what will happen. Now. Who knows who Micheal Warner is?"
Cinthia slid into a corner, arms crossed nearly under her chest. She remained silent and vigilant, eyes scanning the room, ears listening to the others. She leaned against the wall with a foot loosely hooked over the other ankle. A curious bunch, this was, but who was she to question Cortel?
At the mention of a team, she ran the others' names through her mind as she eyed them briefly.
Luca Winchester. A charmer, but not without her strengths in acrobatics, thievery, and hand-to-hand combat. Luck seems to favor this strange one.
Cameron Metzler. Cortel's right-hand man. Another odd one, not the brightest, but manipulative. She'd have to keep an eye on this one.
Lloyd Saxon Windsor. Just a year younger than her and not the best at conversation, but incredible with technology.
Her gaze shifted back to Cortel. "I know of him."
(Seth doesn't come in yet by the way)
(Oh damn, wait a sec)
Luca's dark brows flicked up in surprise. "The senator?" She huffed slightly in amusement assuming the job would be nothing more than casually stealing incriminating documents. "I think I voted for him, Boss. Seems like a low level job for the likes of us though." She swept a graceful hand around the gathered group.
"I'm afraid this isn't going to be low-level Luca. I don't do low-level." Casey shook her head. Her expression wasn't currently dangerous, just calculating. "Mr. Warner wants me to go to Russia to steal the only sample of a drug called Proelium in the possession of an international gang called the Nebtali. The drug can do a lot of things for the government besides just getting people high. It can be a deadly airborne disease or the trigger for a nuclear weapon. The Nebtali is apparently close to unlocking its secrets." She said this with a small roll of her eyes. Warner had been very dramatic on the phone. "They're having a ball in five days. We're going to get in there, grab the Proelium, and split. We're trying to get in undetected, unseen. At least as our current selves. We leave the day after tomorrow at the crack of dawn. Any questions?"
Cinthia cocked her head, running all of the information through her mind and making quick calculations. It was risky with such a small group, especially if this Proelium was under heavy guard. And, of course, there was the matter of disguises and stealth. Going in guns blazing was easier than sneaking through, but the payoff was less desirable. Her lips parted from behind the dark cloth. "Where is this ball being held, and how tight is security?"
