O'Hara held up a hand to keep Finn quiet, but she gently stroked the girl's hair to comfort her. "Okay, I'll be in soon." Finally, she hung up the phone and looked over at Finn. "Huge car accident," she whispered. "Not enough doctors to help with all the injured."
Finn's heart dropped and her face paled with fear as memories from her accident not long before flickered through her mind.
"Oh… my god…" She muttered, eyes tearing with anxiety
O'Hara gently cupped her face. "It's alright, my darling," she whispered. "Come here." She pulled Finn into her arms and hugged her gently. "It's alright, you're safe."
FInn sniffed, heart pounding as she wrapped herself around O'Hara. "I… this is so weird. I thought…" She started to cry, holding tighter onto the other. "I'm sorry"
O'Hara gently rubbed Finn's back. "Oh, darling, I'm the one who should be sorry. I wasn't thinking. I shouldn't have brought it up." She was uncharacteristically gentle with the girl, holding her delicately and whispering sweet little nothings in her ear to calm her down.
Finn stayed silent, wanting everything but O'Hara to blame herself, but the worlds simply wouldn't surface. She leaned into O'Hara's touch, her words calming her frazzled thoughts and pounding heart. "Eleanor…" She mumbled, everything she needed right in front of her.
Just as she had the night before, O'Hara absolutely melted when Finn called her by her first name. "Only you are allowed to call me that," she whispered in Finn's ear. "No one else. Just you." She ran her fingers lightly down Finn's arm. "Only you."
The words, her voice, it sounded like silk. Finn nodded, knowing then just how special she was to O'Hara. She laid on the woman's shoulder, letting herself be touched as she whispered her name again. "Eleanor…"
The doctor couldn't help herself – she gasped lightly as Finn said her name again. It was like an old, dormant part of her was being reborn, and Finn was the cause of it. Her hands cradled Finn gently, still feeling guilty for bringing up her accident.
Finn rocked back and forth, Eleanor's soft skin was enough to bring her back to earth. '''m sorry.'' she said again, quite frazzled and a little embarrassed
"No, darling, I'm sorry," O'Hara whispered. "It's quite common for patients to experience trauma from their accidents and relapse at the mention of them. I completely forgot, it feels like it's been ages since I treated you."
Finn chuckled, leaning her head back to look into O'hara's eyes. "I know" He mumbled, wiping some of the tears and worry from her face. "It's okay. It's not your fault. I-" She sniffed. "You should probably go help them"
O'Hara's expression was conflicted. On one hand, she'd already promised Akalitus she'd be in to help Cruz and Roman. But on the other, she couldn't abandon Finn. Not now. "I can't leave you like this," she murmured, gazing at her adoringly. "You haven't even eaten."
Finn shook her head softly. "I-I don't want to be the reason those people don't get help. I'll be alright, I promise." She whispered. "I'll find something to do. I'll be okay."
O'Hara sighed. "Fine… since they're pulling me in earlier, I'm leaving earlier. I don't care what they say. I'll be home as soon as I can, alright? And if you need anything, you call me, alright? I'll give you my number. Do you have a cellphone? You can use the hotel phone to call me if you don't. Just call me if you need anything." It was amusing how much she was dotting on Finn already.
Finn chuckled softly, kissing O'Hara passionately to quiet her rambling. "I'll be okay. And I'll let you know if I'm not, alright?" She laughed again, wrapping her arms around the woman. "Go help them."
O'Hara flushed and pressed into the kiss, whining softly at how short it was. "Well, my darling, I can't leave if you have me in such a warm embrace…" she purred, smirking a bit as Finn's arms wrapped around her so temptingly.
Finn sighed, smiling as she drew back, leaning against the bed and out of reach from O'Hara's touch.
"Well then, I guess I can't give you anything until you go help." She chuckled, twirling her hair around her fingers.
"I'll be fine, I promise."
O'Hara whined quietly, but she got out of bed. She headed over to her closet, and moments later, she emerged wearing a blue button-up blouse that has a few more buttons undone than normal, white jeans, blue flats, and a full face of makeup. Her hair was still slightly curled from the day before, giving it a wavy look. "Alright, do you have a cell phone?" O'Hara asked, digging through her purse.
Finn sighed, leaning back against the bed while she waited patiently for O'Hara to emerge. The golden glow of sunlight flickered through the window onto Finn's skin, and across the room, making O'Hara glow spectacularly once she emerged. Finn could have sworn her jaw dropped once the elegant woman strutted around the room, and the girl could barely make out a response. "I… yeah. I-I've got one…"
O’Hara notes the stutter and smirked knowingly. “I do look amazing, don’t I?” she teased, turning around once her phone was in her hand and giving Finn her full attention. “But really, love, where’s your phone? I’ll put my number in just in case you need me for anything. I can be back in a heartbeat.”
Finn swallowed hard, the word heartbeat drawing her eyes to O'Hara's graciously visible cleavage, before she could avert them to the task at hand. "Oh, r-right." Within a second, she pulled out her phone from the pocket of her jeans on the floor, handing it to the woman.
O’Hara took the device and sat beside Finn on the bed, typing her number into the phone, texting herself, and handing it back to her. “There you are,” she stated, studying Finn’s face urgently to remember it. “Do I get a goodbye kiss?” she teased again, trailing her fingers up Finn’s throat and under her chin.
Finn leaned on O'Hara's shoulder, smiling as the woman went to work, before flushing at the request. She quickly draped her arms around O'Hara's neck, pulling the other close while she shuddered and gently pressed their lips together
O’Hara drew out the kiss for longer than she should’ve. She was already late, but God, Finn’s taste was so addictive… Finally she broke away, shaking her head. “The things you do to me,” she murmured, rising to her feet and breaking Finn’s hold around her neck. “I’ll see you after work. If you need anything, you’d better tell me or I’ll bloody kill you.” She slipped her phone into her purse and grabbed a white coat from the rack by the door. “I’ll see you later, my darling,” she cooed.
