Variana Delpinia and Prince Finn were in love. They didn't care that Finn was Crown Prince, or that Variana that was a lowly alchemist. They were in love. They even had plans to be married. When Variana's father was in danger, she knew that Finn could help him. But he didn't listen, and Variana lost trust in him. So her father was trapped. Now Variana wants to get vengeance.

Variana walked up to the Queen, who she had captured and was holding captive. "They won't save you," Variana said, lifting the Queen's head by putting her finger under her chin.

"Find her, find her now!"Finn called orders to all the guards "the queen must be found at once!" He couldn't lose her mother, not when he vowed to his father he would protect her. He headed off to work the west, picking up a trail, hoping it was her
"Of course they will find me," Queen Athena said.
"Oh, how wrong you are. Believe me I know, I've sunk pretty low," Variana sang. "But whatever I've done you deserved. I'm the bad guy that's fine, that's no fault of mine. And some justice at last will be served." She looked up at her father, encases in unbreakable amber.
He knew he had her, he just knew. He continued to ride to the west towards her holdings until night fell. "please love, don't do anything stupid" he prayed "You know I love you, you know me in and out, please don't do this to yourself."
"Now it's time to step up or it's time to back down. And there's only one answer for me. And I'll stand up and fight 'cause I know that I'm right. And I'm ready, I'm ready, I'm ready. Ready as I'll ever be."

He woke up early that morning and continued east "please please please don't kill her"

Variana stood in front of her father, in cases in amber. His hand was reaching out for Variana, as she had been in the room when it surrounded him. She placed her hand on his hand. "I'm sorry about your father," Victoria's voice cut through the silence.
"Sorry isn't good enough."

"Is getting him out of there enough?" Finn said at the entrance of the cave "mom are you ok?"
Variana tossed a pink ball at Finn. It exploded and trapped his feet in a sticky substance. "It would have been good enough if you'd helped me in the first place!"
"I'm here now aren't I? I want to help now." He slashed at the pink substance at he's feet. "Variana, please, I want to help now love, let me"
"I ASKED FOR YOUR HELP AND YOU REFUSED TO GIVE IT TO ME! HOW CAN I TRUST YOU NOW?! HOW CAN I KNOW YOU'RE TELLING THE TRUTH?!"
"I'm here now aren't I? I can help now, you have no idea how hard that decision was before. And why would I lie? lie to you of all people?"
Variana suddenly went quiet and slightly teary. She took her necklace off, which held her ring. She held the ring up, showing Finn. "Do you remember it?" She asked.
"Of course I remember the ring" he took out his own, which he wore on a thin silver chain around his neck "I'm still waiting for an answer," he said quietly smiling at the thought of the day he proposed to her "you took the ring but never said yes or no."
"I'm not talking about our ring, Finn," Variana said, her voice visibly sounding with emotion. "I'm talking about our song."

he glanced up at her through his eyelashes "how could I forget our song? I listen to it every night, I think of you every night, regretting and torturing myself over the decision I had to make." he cautiously took a step closer "But never regretting the day I chose you over my kingdom, never regretting that I still want you to be my queen, not the kingdoms queen, but my queen" he growled the words in longing and want, meaning every word that came out
Variana wasn't sure if Finn was telling the truth, so she decided to test him. "How does a moment last forever? How does a story never die? It is love we must hold onto. Never easy, but we try," She sang softly.
He smiled before singing the next part "sometimes our happiness is captured, somehow our time and place stand still. Love lives on inside our hearts and always will." He watched her, wanting to hold her in his arms, wanting to kiss her lips, smell her sent, wanting her.
Variana turned and placed her hand once again on her father's. "Minutes turn to hours, days to years then gone
But when all else has been forgotten
