Heyo!
Alrighty are we ready to start?
We sure are! Will you be starting us off?
Sure If you would like for me to. Which prompt were we’re doing again? Sorry it’s been a while
We were doing the guardian demon prompt.
Oh, right
Okay, so I’ll get the templates
Didn’t we send our pages through PM?
Oh wait, we did? Sorry I must’ve forgotten
Yeah I think so!
(Oh okay I remember now!)
Adrielle shut the door behind her louder than she had meant to once she stepped inside her apartment.
She pulled her long strawberry blonde hair from the thick ponytail, letting it fall to the middle on her back and into her face. Her makeup smudged a bit, though she never wore much. Only a bit of mascara and lipstick or lip gloss.
She sighed and laid down on her bed, accidentally hitting her head on the headboard.
She looked at her phone with a sniffle, her face redder than it usually is, obviously from crying. Clicking the phone off, tempted to throw it, she didn’t.
She set it on the stand next to her bed and sat up
“3 months….it was only three months and he’s already cheating!” She says to herself aggravated. Well, she sounded aggravated, but instead she was just sad and disappointed. She never got mad easily, almost never.
She raked her fingers through her long hair before looking up in search for him.
“Hey where are you anyway?” She asks her Gaurdian as she raised an eyebrow.
For as long as she remembered she’s had him around for her whole life, protecting her and being there for her. Apparently everyone has a gaurdien angel.
But he was different, for he was no angel. He was a demon
Zack, on the outside and in his most comfortable form, was a very relaxed, almost overweight-looking Demon who was covered in head to toe with scars. But since he had been domesticated into this “Guardian Demon” thing, it had been a real bust. Of course he loved Adrielle, not so much her drama, but she was bubbly and fun in her times of not being shit on by total bags.
Obviously tonight was not an exception from that, as Zack blinked awake sleepily from his nap. He heard a tumble and a huff from his Human, drifting slowly into the room, literally levitating above the floor. He definitely was different from Guardian Angels. They were always regal and “do the right thing” type of people, while Zack preferred to run out, and do whatever errands Adrielle wanted in order to get a snack or something. Somehow, the motive of food kept the Demon from absolutely slaughtering Adrielle, which he had proved time and time again he can absolutely do with one swift blow of his surprisingly strong arm.
“I’m right here. I was taking a nap,” Zack grumbled unhappily, wrinkling his pointy nose into the squishy mess that was his facials after waking up.
She glanced at him with her hair falling out from her nice bun and into her face, the curly strawberry mess sticking to her cheeks from her tears as she sniffled.
“Well it was good to know you were having a nice time” She says wiping her tears away.
She stands up, not looking at him she grabbed a donut from bag, perfectly fresh and not squished.
She turned to him and threw it to him. She did this every time she went out. Showing him she cared. Though she didnt think he appreciated it. She still did it.
“Happy?” SHe says stubbornly sitting back down in her bed holding in the flow of tears.
She hated crying in front of people. That included this lousy bum of a guardian.
“You didn’t ask me to do anything,” Zack huffed angrily in response. He almost missed the doughnut that had come flying his way, and if his arms weren’t extended in his ire, he wouldn’t have been able to catch the doughnut. But he ate it with quick succession anyway, licking his fingers as he watched her curiously through his grey, always emotionless eyes. He kept his emotions careful and closed off to her, for if he showed anything that was remotely human-like, she’d look at him worse than she already did.
“Mmm thanks. So what happened this time?” Zack swerved to sit down next to her, his legs curling up under his wry body.
“Like you care anyway” she laid down and wrapped the fluffy blanket over her small body and face, only her big mess of red hair sticking out.
“And what’s that supposed to mean anyway. “This time”” She says annoyed. Why couldn’t she have gotten an angel instead? That would have been so nice. Oh and she was sure they would be absolutely gorgeous. She was envious of everyone else in the world. Why’d she have to be stuck with this lazy, rude bum?
“Even if i told you, you wouldn’t think anything of it. No sympathy. Like always.” She mumbled.
Her voice always soft and sweet even in heartbreak and anger, annoyance or when she was even drunk.
Zack rolled his eyes and lifted himself from the bed, staying quiet and apathetic to her, like he always did. There were times when she really pissed him off in arguments or whatever, and he would have to grapple with himself to keep his composure. This whole thing felt like one pointless investment into a market that would never, under any circumstance, launch off.
“Like always,” Zack just responded as he drifted out of the room, his feet not touching the ground once again, as he phased through the door. He’d just flop down on the couch that he made his bed and wait until she was over it.
She got up and packed a few things in her small yellow book back, a small sketchbook and a handful of her pens, pencils and erasers.
“I’m going out. Ill be at the beach if you need me” She says swinging it over he shoulder, slipping her camera over her shoulder, the strap keeping it secure. She left her hair and makeup the way she had it before, not caring about how she looked.
She had always lived near the ocean, hearing waves crashing against each other and big rocks every night when she slept.
After about thirty minutes, her feet touched the wet sand and her back and camera set down on a rock.
Her silky, almost see through white sundress ruffled in the wind as the sky got dark and stars littered the sky.
She just needed someone to lean on, and there was nobody……
Though she wasnt going to be like one of those stupid teenagers and kill herself over a cheating boyfriend.
She was going to enjoy the peace of the ocean as she stepped into it, though a storm was coming
Zack had spent the time he was left alone on the couch, cuddled under a blanket he stole from her. He stared at the crack in the curtains from where he was, wondering idly: “Could I just leave now?”
Clearly Adrielle didn’t want him there. She despised him for not being what she expected, to be the handsome Angel. Zack despised Angels. Angels were not what Humans understood them to be. They were just as evil and cruel as Demons were, in such a haughty and rude way. They think they’re so high above everything else because they come from somewhere better, and serve a better purpose.
Zack sat up slightly from the couch, tossing the blanket aside. Maybe he’d break the rules this once. Be the Demon to carefully set his foot outside and get slaughtered instantly for it by a rouge Angel.
It’d be better than sitting through the drama of a teenager.
She didnt hate him, nor despised him. But she thought he could at least be a decent human being!
Oh wait…. he’s not a human being
She had to remind herself all of the time that he was a demon. No wonder he wasnt nice.
He fits the stereo type of a demon perfectly. Though you would think even a demon would be attractive.
He might be to others, but not her. She was hard to please when it came to looks. And personality.
She set her standards high for everything. Men, her job and even her hobbies, and especially for herself.
She let out a sigh and sat down in the water on the small pebbles, a small shell in her hand as she listened to the ocean. It was nice….
Zack honestly didn’t care how he looked. He used to be quite attractive before he was Domesticated, to say the least. If he actually decided to pick himself up and make himself look nice again (which didn’t take a lot of effort for his species), he’d do it damn well. But he didn’t care. At all. There’s no mate to impress, no Human to impose upon, no need to have breaths of shock drawn from his appearance anymore. It felt like he had a kid or something.
He swung his legs off of the couch and moved to shuffle his shoes on, nosing the window to gaze outside at the darkness of the approaching storm. He wouldn’t be seen very easily, but foes who might be watching him couldn’t be seen very easily either.
She stood, setting the shell in the water and slipped into the water into the small drop off.
Swimming was one oof the only things that calmed her.
She wasn’t desperate, she was just lonely in life. The only persons she really had was her sister and this demon. How annoying he was most of the time. He was supposed be her guardian. Devote his life to her.
But he was just such an @$$hole to her all the time. The lazy bum that had no respect for her or himself.
Letting the salty water rush over her, some getting in her throat and burning it, but she never minded that.
The currents and waves sending a chill down her spine which she loved and her strawberry red hair floating all around her after she pulled her hair out of the bun it was in.
Her makeup washed off revealing her pale face and freckles, her strawberry blonde eyelasahes matching her hair as she looked around in the water. Unlike almost everyone else, salt water didnt burn her eyes as much as usual, so she loved to look around underwater. The moon was the only light that flooded into the water.
It was much more gorgeous than up there in that hell
Zack set a hand on the window, the heat from his hand making an outline around each finger and around his palm. He rested his face slowly against the glass, his breath fogging up the window and the small spot his lips were over.
He wasn’t allowed to leave the home unless given express permission by the Human. The only way to get out of Domestication was through finding a mate, or whatever Humans called it. Mates, to Demons, were soul-binding. They basically made Demons more Human, more alive, more free and happy. Zack couldn’t remember the last time he was happy up in this world. It was all so false with such insignificant drama. Perhaps that’s why he found it so easy to restrain himself from strangling Adrielle when she told him absolutely nothing could be worse. Maybe that’s why he had no respect for her.
She was just a Human. He was convinced if he left she’d be fine, especially at this age. On the expense of how many petty missions to screw with people, she herself didn’t need it, nor did he.
Zack tossed his hair back from his tired, grey eyes, slowly moving back into the living room that he had made his small hovel.
There wasn’t much better for him, was there?
What she loved most about being underwater, is the fact that she couldn’t feel her own tears. They blended in with the rest of the salt water.
Swimming up to the shallower water, shoulder deep as she sat down, she sighed to herself
She wanted someone to be there. Someone to cry and talk to. To lean on and hold her. She only knew of one person that could be there. Though he wouldn’t do any of those things.
“Just please come here” she says hoping Zack would hear. He was her guardian demon after all.
Surely…..surely he would care. He had been with her for all of her life. Watching her grow up into the person she is now. Surely he would care
(ugh the page just refreshed and deleted my responseeeeeeeeeee yummyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
