It's time.
@gracehustle , you out there???? :)
It's time.
Yo I'm here!
(Lmao I forgot about the parenthesis thingies)
(But anyways, what kind of story do you want? I want to keep my character from last time, but I don't want it to be the exact same as the one we did, you know what I mean?)
(I agree with that, we should get a new plotline and I'm up for keeping Emmeline (once I find the old thread and refresh myself on what she was like again lol))
(As for what the new plot is, I don't really have any major ideas)
(I was thinking of a more modern setting (since the last one was more swords and shields and stuff) but plot? Yeah, I have no idea either…)
(Yeah that sounds good, I'll try to get together some ideas but they might not be the best lol)
(Well, anything will do for now. And if we want to change it later, we can.)
(ooooooo ok I just stumbled upon a prompt I think would be insanely fun: A twist on Little Red Riding Hood, where the big bad wolf is a werewolf and little red riding hood is his mate? It wouldn't really fit the more modern setting as well but I think it would be fun)
(Ooooh I really like that (although Miles isn't really a "bad" wolf, if you remember the previous story we played through) but maybe it could be that the other character (I assume you're going with Emmeline) could think that he'll be bad, but turns out not to be?)
(Also the modern setting was just a suggestion, but as long as the plot is different from the last, I'm fine with it.)
(That works with me, and yes I'm gonna use Emmeline)
(Okay, then I'll post my character's template. Just give me a sec…)
Here we are!
Name: Miles Black
Age: 18 years
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: About 6' 1"; Black hair; white skin; wears a dark shirt and dark brown pants.
Personality: A bit careless and extrovert. He doesn't make an effort to be in a relationship, but when he figures it out, he gets a bit flustered about it.
Backstory: I don't feel like doing one
Other: He's a werewolf, but he has his power in control (he doesn't act like he's out of his mind when he transforms). He transforms when all other werewolves do, but has a bad headache the morning after.
Name: Emmeline Whitley (Goes by Emme or Emma most of the time)
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Bi, leans towards guys tho
Appearance: She has blond hair that looks almost white and it is short and choppy, going down to just below her ears. Her eyes are a mix of a violet and a sky blue, the purple towards the center of her eye while the blue makes a ring around it. her skin is very pale and it contrasts with her naturally dark red lips. She is short to say the least, standing at just under 5'1". She is slender and thin from malnutrition with very little muscle on her body and you can easily see and feel her ribs.
Clothing: Normally something along the lines of a white shirt, casual and dark pants or a skirt and a red cloak of it's cold
Personality: she's a little cinnamon roll, very giving, caring and tries to look on the bright side of things. Innocent to the max and gets flustered easily.
Backstory: Nah at the moment
(Okie, that's cool! So who's gonna start?)
(Doesn't matter to me!)
(Can you start then? I'm kinda terrible at starting.)
(Yeah no problem, one quick question though how modern do we want this to be?)
(I don't know. The more modern, the better tbh. But specifically, I don't know. Maybe current day? Or something close to it?)
(Ok lol, just wanted to know so I could decide how to start)
Nothing could sour Emmeline's good mood as she woke up. She was supposed to leave to spend the better part of the summer out in the country with her cousins in less than a few hours. This was her last summer before college, and she intended to spend every moment of it out in the woods, exploring. Out there it was easy to relax, get out of the city and the cramped apartment she shared with her mother and younger sister.
She let out one yawn as her alarm went off, then was on her feet, humming to herself as she rushed to get ready. No one else made any noise indicating they were up, and it wasn't a surprise. The sun was just peeking over the tops of the buildings, the oranges blending into the fading blues of the night sky.
Just as the sun was rising, Miles was still in bed.
Last night absolutely exhausted him, and he needed to rest as much as he could before he could get on with his day.
He opened his eyes – despite wanting to get more sleep in – and began to think about how he should spend his day at his lonesome cabin in the woods.
(I wasn't really sure how to start, so I hope it doesn't sound weird, lol)
(That sounds fine!)
A simple maroon top and jean shorts paired with running shoes were all the fancier her attire got as she got ready, still steadily humming. Emmeline checked her bags one last time to make sure she had anything before pulling them, and herself, out into the hallway, closing the door to her room behind herself. She couldn't help but smile as she brushed a strand out hair out of her face, pulling her bags all the way to the door of the apartment before turning around.
It didn't take her more than ten minutes for her to say goodbye to her mom and sister, giving them hushed goodbyes so they didn't wake up as fast before finally leaving the apartment. In less than five hours she was going to be at the small house she and her cousins had rented up in the mountains, and that thought alone was extremely exciting.
Another boring day… Miles got up and out of bed, with no rush to get his day started. He dug his light robe out of his wardrobe and slipped it on, not bothering to put a shirt on as well.
He went downstairs and into the kitchen area as he began to scrounge around for something to eat. There's almost nothing here…. He rubbed his eyes lazily.
Emmeline struggled to get her bags to the little black car that she owned, though after a while she was able to get everything in. From there it was a piece of cake. Or at least getting through the city was. After that calm half-an-hour of driving, she was relying on nothing more than her phone's GPS and a map of the mountains that she was heading towards. The feeling of finally being able to relax was one she was looking forward to though, and it was enough to keep her going.
He finally found something half decent – a simple bagel in the fridge – and he began to eat it whole and uncut. It's not much but it'll have to do for now.
Miles trudged over and flopped down on the couch with an exasperated sigh. He glanced around for a moment before setting eyes on the sun rising over the eastern horizon. Another day… I better get myself together if I'm gonna work outside all day again…
Even when driving, there wasn't a moment of silence in Emmeline's car. The radio played at a soft, constant volume, and she didn't hesitate to sing along to whatever song she knew. It helped pass the time at least, especially when she was stuck driving on the highway, the cars driving alongside her a sight she was more than used to. Four and a half hours turned to three and a half and the scenery started to change, the highway lined with trees now. At least that was an encouraging sign that she was getting somewhere.
