She flipped him off on her way out, making everyones eyes widen even more. Though nobody was surprised by the girls actions. Nobody was even surprised that she lit the book on fire. But they definitely weren't calm about it.
The classmates looked from one to the other. The bitch of the campus and the more mysterious handsome guy in a rivalry?
A few whispered and muttered around in the big room. Already conjuring up rumors about the two. This was going to be interesting
(Should we skip to the next class they have together or lunch?)
(Okie dokie)
The bell rang throughout the halls, mixed with the sounds of computers and books closing, bags being ruffled and footsteps overwhelming the place. That's not including the voices. Chitterchatter everywhere, hurting her ears slightly but she neverminded it.
The students were free to go outside or inside during lunch on the campus. So, Bee…being Bee..she snuck up onto the roof. Where she always had lunch. She was pals with the campus janitors so she got the key. Though it couldnt be locked from the inside of the staircase, so she always had to.keep it unlocked. Making her worry someone else was going to come up here and disturb her peaceful time.
Sitting down with her feet dangling off the edge, a single moonpie in her hand with a thing of coca cola already halfway drank. Her hat sitting on the concrete beside her and her blonde hair brushing against her back while the wind blew through it as it was rather windy today.
Ferris walked out of the school, hands in his pockets, slouched slightly against the wind. His messy black hair flew around him, and he absently brushed it out of his eyes. Lunch time was never his favorite. Too many people tried to approach him, guys and girls both, and he was tired of it. Would he never get a break? He shook his head. It couldn’t be helped. Maybe when he graduated, he would join the army. Yeah. That sounded fun.
Some hidden instinct in him made Ferris look up, and he spotted Bee sitting at the edge of the roof. She was kind of pretty, he had to admit, when she didn’t know when anyone was watching her. There was some sort of grace and elegance about her that he rarely saw in others, and it was appealing.
He smiled, then decided, after a moment, to disturb her peace. “I do hope you’re not trying to jump, Beatriz,” he called up to her. “Because then I would be obliged to try and catch you, and I really don’t want to get killed by a flying girl.”
She was quickly shaken out of her sweet thoughts, distracted now by the annoying yet hot man from down Below. Ferris.
She rolled her eyes at his words. "My life may be shitty. But I'm no coward! And also, if I wanted to kill you…you'd be dead by now" she called down to him, sticking out her to guess at the boy.
"You seem lonely. Come on up here" she hollered, waving her hand towards her, motioning for him to come. She did admit, she was pretty lonely but didnt want any of the other students talking to her. But Ferris… he was different. She didnt see him as a student. More as a rival. And oh how she loved rivalries.
“You keep saying that. Maybe someday it will be true. I don’t see why you keep insisting that I’m weaker than you. You have yet to prove it.” Ferris smiled up at her, his gray eyes dancing. She was interesting, he had to admit. And she challenged him, in a way that made his blood rush.
“Me? Lonely? Darling, I think you’re the lonely one here. At least I have friends.”
"By how confident you are, how you act and speak….well I can state the obvious by just that. And you, obviously, are inferior to me honey"
"Darling huh?" She muttered before leaned her head to the side on her should as it held her up.
"I have plenty of friends thank you very much." She rolled her eyes.
"You coming or not"
"Plenty of friends?" He laughed, although not unkindly. "Where are they? Why haven't I ever seen them before?" He shook his head. "You can think that you're superior all you want. You're perfectly welcome to think that. But it's wrong." He looked around. "Where am I supposed to get up, anyway?"
The girl only rolled her eyes at his comment, not letting it get to her. She was smart enough not to stoop down to his level.
Speaking of down to his level, she got up and pointed to the door in which she got up.
"Near the one of the janitors closets on the second floor. It's a big metal door but its unlocked" she says twirling the keys around her finger
He sent her a suspicious look, but shrugged. "If it's locked, I guess I'll just walk away and leave. Not that you'll care." He did as she said, though, hurrying up the stairs and opening the door. To his surprise, it was unlocked, and he went in, up, to the roof.
She cocked her hip to the side with a smirk, "wasnt so hard was it pretty boy?" She says before t ugh rning around and taking her seat by the edge. It was obvious she wanted company but not just any company. The right company.
But it was probably best not to.mention.
Her.feet dangling off of the edge, she burnt out her cigarette and looked up to the sly, waiting for him to speak or do something so.she can make another sassy or mean remark.
"It was very difficult." Ferris collapsed dramatically down next to her. "I almost died, you know. My delicate sensitivities can't stand such a long climb." He rolled his eyes and leaned back, laying on the roof and staring at an airplane soaring across the sky, a pale line drifting behind it.
She chuckled, rolling her own eyes and laying down along with the boy. "Well if that's the case, then you wont be able to be around me much. Your fragilness wouldn't be able to handle me" she smirked before looking from him up to the sky, making a wish on the airplane as she always forgot to with the stars, always too captivated by it.
"No, it won't." He rolled his eyes. "I might die if I'm too close to you. You know? Explode into shards of delicateness and cut you into ribbons. It's totally possible, you know."
She rolled over on her side to him, her elbow propping her up as her head leaned on her palm. Her hourglass figure more prominent now.
"Oh really? Well if you keep annoying me as you've been today, then I might want that to happen. And anyway, in tougher than some glass. Itll be too hard to cut me into ribbons"
"How would you know?" He copied her, rolling onto his side and staring at her with his unearthly silver eyes. "Has it ever been tested before? I don't think it has. You talk and you talk and you talk," he said, running his eyes over her, "but never act. All bark, and no bite."
She raised her slitted brow, noticing the look in his eyes. She felt challenged but in more of a playful way.
"Hm, guess you'll have to shatter into shards to figure put if I'm telling the truth then huh? Oh, but you'll have to stick around me in order to do so" Bee shrugged. She could definitely bite and she showed a small bit of what she was willing to do when she literally set his book on fire in the middle of class. Was she going to get in trouble for that? Well yes…if they caught her. But she was a bit too good at getting out of situations she didnt want to be in.
"I could probably stick near you," Ferris drawled. "But would you care about the rumors? The evil seductress, tamed at last. Somehow, I don't think you'd enjoy that, honey."
She shot up from her position and sat criss crossed now "I will never be tamed!! Anyone would be a fool to think that! And even if they did, I'll just show them I'm not" she scoffed, crossing her arms and puffing out her cheeks angrily, a habit she had that was a big cute if there wasnt an actually chance she would break your fingers.
"If you say so." Ferris only leaned on his elbow and looked at her, amusement flashing clear in his gray eyes. "I think that you can't stop the rumors, though. But then again, you don't strike me as the kind of person who would mind what others say about them… unless, of course, I was mistaken?"
She rolled her eyes, as she could really care less about them. And her facial expressions showed that. "I dont." Bee hissed, pulling her hair up into a tight ponytail, flipping her hat backwards and readjusting her jacket.
"And what about you pretty boy? You'll definitely have your fair share of rumors. Oh, but you wouldn't mind" she sneered
"I don't mind," he said, acting for all the world as if they were having a friendly conversation - which, of course, might be true, except for the glare on Beatriz's face. "I've had plenty of rumors about me. Did you know that apparently, one time, I slept with a hippo? I had no idea of this fact, so I was glad that my classmates told me."
She couldnt help but let out a small giggle. It was cute, nobody would deny it. But she never laughed for that reason.
"Oh really now?? I'll remember that" she says blowing a stray strand of hair out of her face
He let out a surprised grin at her laugh. It was cute… like her. His lips twisted into a slight smirk at the thought, although it was not directed at her.
"I hope you do remember," he said. "I'd hate to forget it so early on. How could I forget my greatest shame? One that didn't even happen?"
"I mean itd be hard to forget" she laughed, scooting more towards the edge and peering down to the campus, everyone roaming about.
"So hey, whaddya usually do around here anyway handsome?" She asks looking back at him curiously
