"I don't have a girlfriend." Ferris stayed polite. He noticed the pain that sparked in her eyes, and frowned in thought. "Are you okay?" He knew it probably wasn't the best thing to ask, but that was what he was going to do.
"I don't have a girlfriend." Ferris stayed polite. He noticed the pain that sparked in her eyes, and frowned in thought. "Are you okay?" He knew it probably wasn't the best thing to ask, but that was what he was going to do.
She was surprised at his comment, not quite knowing what to say. Tapping the cigarette and letting the glowing ash fall to the cement in front if her foot before she regained her confidence quickly.
"I'm always okay" she scoffed, rolling her eyes. "what about you hot stuff?"
"You're always okay? I don't think that's true." He knew he had caught her off guard. "It's okay to not be okay." He ran a hand through his hair. "I'm not dead, so there's that." He smiled at her, his smile warm and welcoming.
She looked at him in slight confusion, as he switched from cold and emo to warm and welcoming. Sheena's going to get whiplash.
"that's always a good thing I guess" she shrugged, ignoring his first comment. It wasn't like he was going to tell this dude what's going on with her life and that she's not alright.
No, she was going to keep up her facade as long as it took.
"So you agree!" He grinned at her. "Well, I should go." He waved and moved on. "Later, Beatriz!"
She was shaken up by the sudden happiness of the once-to-be-thought emo kid. And the fact that he left so soon. Why? She had no idea but she was definitely confused to say the least.
"where you goin? We just started talking" she crossed her arms
"I have to get ready for tomorrow. You know, when all of the other people come," he replied, not stopping. "You should too. Maybe strengthen that mask of yours a bit more. It's a bit showing in your eyes."
"what? So soon?" she asked actually a little dissapointed. She rolled her eyes but stopped at his next comment. "hey! Fuck you moron! I'll stuff this cigarette down that tiny throat of yours" she says flipping him off and stomping the cigarette out.
"this guy" she mumbled to herself, her arms crossed as she watched him walk away. She would definitely take what he said into consideration.
"Good luck doing so!" Ferris called back. He shook his head. There was something wrong with that girl… he had never spoken to her, face-to-face, until now. It was a wonder that no one had noticed how much pain she was in.
She always thought she was so good at hiding it. But apparently not to this dude. What was up with him anyway?! How rude! Hot. Like really really hot. But rude! But also nice in a way. Yeah, he was actually pretty nice. She didn't know why she thought of him as rude.
But he was definitely rude.
"whatever! I'll see Ya tomorrow idiot" she says sticking her tongue out at him through her black lips.
"pffft, this dude" she rolled her eyes as she made her way back to the campus.
What was wrong with her? Something had happened to make her this way. Ferris knew this for a fact. He had seen it in his younger sister, Taran, when their parents started neglecting them in favor of their younger sister Victory. Taran had become harder, and more willing to do dangerous things, like she wanted to prove herself.
She went back to her empty dormroom, sitting on her bed and looking at the other side of the room. There was going to be some student sharing a room with her. And she was definitely not looking forward to that.
Laying down in bed dramatically after she took all of her makeup off. Which actually wasn't a lot at all. The black lipstick was what made people thing she wore a ton. Her small, yet bright clover tattoo on her cheek and a confused look embedded in theaters of her expression, she lay there thinking. About the guy earlier. Ferris. What a weird guy. But he seemed sweet. Not to Mention hot. And man he was.
But she didn't focus on that as much as what he said. She didn't need to work on a mask! What mask! She had no mask. This was herself. Who she was.
Yet she thought about this while hugging a big pastel yellow pillow in her bed, her hair everywhere and she was in her bra and underwear, pink with black lace on it. Whoever her roommate was going to be, they're gonna have to be good at keeping secrets.
(Time skip? Maybe to their first day of class?)
(Yeah lol)
(Okay! Do you want a start, or do you want me to?)
(You can if you'd like. I won't be able to for a bit, sorry)
(It's fine!)
(I'm guessing you would like me to start?)
(No, it's fine, I got it!)
Ferris sat at his table, textbook open in front of him. It was his first day of class, and if he wanted to get his degree, he had to take Biology, which, frankly, was very boring to him.
He shook his head, running his finger along the page to find his place. There! The chapter on anatomy.
Confidently, Bee sauntered through the hall, offering glares to anyone who looked at her to turn to their friends only to talk about how much of a slut she was. Little did everyone know, she was still a virgin. Though she would never tell a soul.
The door knocked open and before the students looked up to the rather loud noise, all you could hear were the clacking of her healed leather boots on the tile before Bee took her seat right next to Ferris, a mischrvious smirk on those black lips of hers. She never was a fan of biology either, as she didnt think anyone was. But if she could annoy one more person, she wouldn't miss it for the world
"Hey, Beatriz," Ferris said absently, not even looking up at her. He was reading through the chapter, forehead wrinkled in concentration and thought. With his photographic memory, if he could remember all of this, then he wouldn't have to pay attention in class. It would be wonderful.
He glanced up at her. The girl seemed different from when he had last seen her, more guarded, harder. He wondered what was up, although it really wasn't his business. He had learned long ago that it was better not to pry, but she was interesting.
Annoyance immediately was shown on her face, when he called her Beatriz. She guessed he didnt know. But she was about to enlighten him.
"Listen kid, its Bee. Dont ever call me anything else or else I'll break your fingers. Got it?" She growled, her green eyes glaring daggers into his.Though her voice was quiet, not wanting all attention on her. Her father was the only one to call her that. No one else.
She sat back and twirled a pen she stole from someone's desk while she walked past them. Slight of hand was a talent of hers.
"Oh? Does it bother you?" Ferris smirked. "Be-a-triz." He always tried to be polite and kind to everyone, but he had a backbone of steal, and if someone tried to bully him, or talk down to him, his wilder side came out. He knew that he should have more self-control, but he didn't care. "This is a free country. I can call you whatever I want to."
This kid had balls. She did admit that. But obviously he didn't know what she was capable of.
She leaned forward, lighter in hand, though carefully hidden, inching close to his book before it caught fire.
"Yes, it does." She hissed before standing up and leaving, now.multiple people panicking about the book on fire at one of the desks. She didnt like to be tested, that was obvious. And hopefully he wouldn't do it again. Or shes not gonna just catch the book on fire.
Ferris rolled his eyes at her words and actions. He calmly smothered the fire with his bag, before calling after her, "I don't like to be threatened, princess. Try that again and you'll see what I'm capable of."
A few girls in the classroom with him sighed dreamily, and Ferris pretended that he hadn't heard them. People were so desperate right now, it was pathetic.
