"Ah," Cayden says, jumping off Fathom and drifting to the seafloor. "I'm also very very old! Almost as old as this place," he says, gesturing to the sea in general.
"Ah," Cayden says, jumping off Fathom and drifting to the seafloor. "I'm also very very old! Almost as old as this place," he says, gesturing to the sea in general.
Vē'Êtherñøth snorts. "I'm half as old as Hell itself, and older than this place too."
"Depends where this place is," Cayden piints out. "This exact place isn't that old. But four and seventeen scores of lengths away is the heart of Veridin. The well of the world and it's old and I'm almost as old as it so I'm also very old! Yup!"
Vē'Êtherñøth shrugs. "I don't know where we are."
She looks at Cayden, then snorts. "Could I go burn something there?"
"Nope nope nope," Cayden says, poking around in the sand and stirring up various rays, crabs and urchins. "That would be bad. We could burn more grass piggies though. Or potatoes or small fish or strawberries!"
Vē'Êtherñøth looks sad now. "Damn."
She pouts for a few seconds, then burns the sand into glass.
Fathom breaks off a piece of glass and turns it this way and that, apparently fascinated by her reflection.
Cayden watches and continues unearthing random sea creatures, handing some strawberries and eating the others himself. Where he keeps getting them is a mystery.
(I reach out and tentatively boop your shoulder Boop!)
(Sorry, been busy dealing with shit, lol. And spring break.)
Vē'Êtherñøth giggles slightly, then disappears. A few moments later, a slow rumble can be felt as she flattens the Eastern seabed. She returns with a ton of urchins, octopi, squids and other such creatures.
"Here we go!" she exclaims.
. ▭▭ι═══════ﺤ.
Cayden swims over to the creatures and waves at them, greeting each creature in their own tongue and shaking every tentacle of the cephalopods'. He seems especially happy to see a large Pacific octopus, which he introduces as Dylan.
Fathom waves all 10 of her appendages happily at all the creatures, accidentally knocking a doplhin out of its path and smacking a turtle's shell. She signs sorry at the animals, then pats Dylan's blobby head.
Indeed.
Vē'Êtherñøth chuckles, then runs around, antagonizing the sea urchins and other polyps.
Wait, what wa sthe indeed for?
Cayden picks up three urchins and starts juggling them, whilst swimming away from the dolphin. A siphonophore joins the growing crowd of creatures, and Cayden grins and swims up to its "head", still juggling and carrying on a conversation with teh octopus, and tossing another urchin back and forth with the dolphin, his megalodon tail flickering in and out of existence to do so.
I dunno. The knife?
Vē'Êtherñøth cocks her head and watches, then decides something. She imitates Cayden's form and looks down, then shrugs. "You feel weird."
Kni- Oh. That wasn't supposed to be there, but I guess it works.
Cayden turns to look at her, still juggling. "I feel weird? Urchins feel weird! Pineapples feel weird! I don't feel as weird as a pineapple, so I don't feel weird! La! 'Ana la 'uhibuhu," he adds to the octopus, who appears to nod and scurries away.
I grin Copy-paste acting up?
Vē'Êtherñøth snorts. "Your form, Cayden. It's too big."
She snorts at the Arabic. "Who do you not like?"
Yep. Well, copy-paste and Blankslate.
"I can be small!" Cayden grins, and shifts to a dwarf lantern shark. "See?"
He frowns. "I don't like Trent. He's very annoying and keeps trying to trick me and catch me." He grins again. "But I'm smart and have all these guys who tell me things so I know lots and lots! So he can't trick me."
Fair enough.
Vē'Êtherñøth shrugs Cayden's shoulders and returns to her form. "Okay."
She tilts her head to one side, considering this information. "Fire?"
"Fire?" Cayden shakes his head vigorously. "No fire. Everyone sees if you put fire in the ocean! But nets and traps are there every day for fishing." He giggles. "But those are for tiny fishies."
Vē'Êtherñøth snorts. "No, I mean can I set him on fire?"
Cayden claps. "That would be fun!" He pauses. "What about fireWORKS?"
Laughing, Vē'Êtherñøth goes to find this person named Trent and set him on fire.
Cayden is busy figuring out how many octopodes you can launch from an underwater volcano while he waits.
(ahem)
(I - totally didn't forget about this place. Anyways~)
She finds him and burns him, then pops back into existance over by Cayden.
"He's been spontaneously combusted." she giggles.
Cayden turns and claps. "That's good! Almost as good as a fried octopus!" As if to prove his point, a fried octopus is launched from the volcano and sails into Fathom's head.
Fathom grunts and pulls it off, flinging it up towards the surface.
