First came the scouts,
marching on into undiscovered lands.
Then came the reports,
reports of a new world.
After came the push,
the push to discover.
And with that push,
came the Axis.

I’d like to introduce my new RP on here. I’m a fairly new user as of typing this, but the moment I saw there was a RP section I was quite excited to put my idea into motion.
The concept of this RP is relatively simple, but should you need further explanation, I will provide.
Here, my character originates from a world vastly different from ours.
He comes to this world, after being sent from his to ours. His reason is to scout and run surveys and all sorts of tests on the land, and report back to his world once his mission is complete. Typically these things take a long while.
However, your character, however you may chose to describe them as, comes across my character. And maybe your character isn’t too keen on such an oddly dressed individual poking around places where he shouldn’t be. The basis of it is that your character interferes with my character’s work. Whatever happens, happens. I don’t have too much of a plot right now so I hope we can work together on this for something more. I do have a slight plot twist in mind.

All that said, here are the rules.

  1. I will say you can have an LGBTQ+ character (I am supportive of it myself in person) but keep in mind my character originates from a vastly different world where stuff such as that isn’t common and not considered to be the norm. I won’t do anything malicious, but if you aren’t comfortable with this, do not join the RP.
  2. In relation to above, if you are not comfortable with mature topics, do not join. Anything overly mature will be taken into PMs of course, but other than that, keep that in mind. Sensitive topics might be stuff like mental health. Alcohol use as well.
  3. I allow cursing and the such in my RPs. I will also allow violence and blood, but do not overdo it.
  4. In fights, do not auto hit. Do not dodge everything either.
  5. If your style is not what I’m looking for, I will deny you.
  6. Have decent grammar.
  7. Romance is not a requirement in this. However, if you’re looking for it, you will need a girl. Let me know if you want romance.
  8. No one liners. If you don’t have any ideas for responses, try to write out your characters thoughts for the situation. Have them act in some form.
  9. May change list.

Here is the template. I will mention beforehand I need to accept you before you join. I will be asking for a writing sample, with dialogue.

Yeah, I’d like a writing sample. Thanks for showing interest.

@ElderGod-Carrots

It was the dead of night when the body was found on that building. The owner hadn’t understood the severity of the damage until he had found a lamp to properly illuminate the wounds with the help of the moonlight.
It was uncommon to see a body so disturbingly brutalised and it had taken the man a few moments to come to his senses, rushing into the building to change into something more suitable then his nightwear and a robe. His wife had awoken by his antics and questioned him thoroughly to which he only replied with a shake of his head and a simple, ‘Tis not a matter for a woman, only for the police this is.’

But the truth was the man did not know if the police would be able to help. From what he’d seen the boy would be hard to identify, and there had looked to be no footprints or signs of life around the body. But then again, he could have ben dead awhile, it was a miracle he hadn’t heard the boy scream.

On the other side of the universe, in fact a different universe entirely, the murder of the young boy was being discussed. Three young men stood before their elder, two impatiently waiting for the go ahead to jump to Earth, the other more inclined to discuss the matter further before they made any rash decisions.

“We can’t just stand around and talk about it,” Dracye said, crossing his arms and glaring at the old man in front of him, “The longer we do the more people will die.”

“For once I agree with the brute,” Elio jerked a thumb in the direction of his mate, though glanced between Professor Calria and his other friend, Aston, “We’re the best three to deal with this sorta shit, let us go to Earth and catch the thing.”

(Hope this works! If not that is totally okay as well)

You may join. Do you have any questions at all?

@ElderGod-Carrots

(Hm.. well, would the time period be set in the 21st century or something different? Also, location wise, what country/city would we be in?)

Deleted user

(21st century, yes. Location wise I’d say the United States or somewhere around there, and city, probably somewhere kind of urban but with plenty of rural area around it as well.)

@ElderGod-Carrots

Name: Amelia 'amy (the most wonderful woman in the world)' Johnson
Age: 23
Gender: female
Sexuality: bi-sexual
Nationality: English
Employment: barista at a small coffee shop on the outskirts of the city

Appearance: amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) has long, dirty blonde hair that falls to around the middle of her torso. The ends are dyed a light blue and it tends to fall in waves. Usually she wears it half up half down in two pig tails. She has pale skin, littered with freckles with a heavy concentration on her cheeks. Soft features, small, button nose and pale lips. She has bright green eyes rimmed with what looks to be black or a very dark green. Has two ear piercings on each ear and a nose piercing as well (just a small, green stud). She is around 5'6, maybe slightly shorter. Very lithe figure, dancer type form. Skinny but not unhealthily so. Has to wear glasses for reading - they're gold rimmed and have circle lenses, like Harry Potter.
Clothing: Wears a lot of over sized, band shirts with either denim shorts or jeans (tend to be ripped) Converse - black leather. Always wears a denim jack with the NASA logo on the front and other space symbols on the arms and back. Loves a good pair of sweatpants when she's alone along with huge jumpers.
Personality: amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) is a very sweet and kind person. She loves people and is an extrovert majority of the time. Does have a bit of a temper on her but it doesn't come out as often as it used to. Does have a RBF so most people that don't know her would call her 'mean' or something along those lines. Suffers from anxiety but she is on medication for that. Sensitive when it comes to certain things, mainly family as she is very close to them. Can act out of aggression if you piss her off enough.
Languages spoken: English and Danish.
Skills: Can skateboard, play guitar, very good painter, can ride a horse very well
Other: Grew up in England until she was around 8 years old before her family moved to America. Has an older brother Rory (25). Her mother is Danish and her dad is English, hence the two languages. Lives in the more rural areas of her state but still close enough to the city that it isn't too long of a drive. Loves nature and anything about it, especially forests and rain. Big fan of folk lore.

Name: Jörn Strobl
Age: 24
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Nationality: A bit complicated. To clarify, the territory he was born in belonged to someone else once, but it was under conflict at the time. Could be considered German, as his mother was, while his father was American. With a final answer, we’ll say German, since that’s what it says on his birth certificate.
Employment: Scout, with some scientist roots in him as well.

Appearance: 6ft with a lightly muscled build. Doesn’t go out of his way to workout, but it is sometimes included in his job, so more than the average person. Fair skinned, not pale but not tanned either. Complete heterochromia, left eye a pearl grey while right eye jade green. Hair is a toffee-brown shade, typically keeps it trimmed, and makes an attempt to keep it brushed.

Hands are lightly calloused due to overworking in the past.

Clothing: In our world, one might view Jörn’s clothing as something that came from the post apocalyptic side of things. But what he wears commonly in actually his work clothing.

His work clothing appears to be made from a durable brown leather of some type, with what seems to be an older styled gas mask. Jacket with hood. Several different bags on him, generally smaller ones, never plastic, only some type of leathery material. Usually wears gloves especially when climbing and other strenuous activities.

His normal clothing isn’t too far from his working clothing albeit a bit lighter, and lacking the gas mask unless he’s going outside for long periods of time.

Personality: Jörn’s mindset is set in trying not to be noticed by any of the ‘higher ups’ back where he comes from. He’s seen what happens to people who get noticed.

Which is hypocritical for him, since he generally doesn’t care if people notice him when he’s doing his work. Jörn is quite aware, but chooses not to care. He’s gotten quite good at ignoring stuff, which really helps in his day-to-day life, too. While Jörn does his best not to get attached to things, once he cares about someone or something, he does take it all quite seriously. Can come off as dismissive, but does pay attention to his surroundings. Fond of children, but not extremely young kids.

Languages spoken: German, English and a bit of French. French is due to his mother attempting to learn it while he was growing up; Jörn showed interest in it so his mother included him in the lessons too, but it never quite stuck.
Skills: Mapping/geography. Good with fixing things and crafting certain things from raw materials. Good with data collection and remembering stuff. Also good with preserving stamina as well as some sciences, but don’t try to engage in a scientific conversation with him because the chances are is that he’s not going to understand some words. Handling certain weapons.
Other: Didn’t know his dad too much growing up aside that he was ‘conspiring against the state’ and had one younger sibling, Luisa. Raised by his mother, Heide and occasionally grandparents.

Suffers from a minor alcohol problem, but generally stays away from it (not by choice, more so that he just doesn’t have opportunities or money to get any). As well as some mental health issues and minor anxiety.
Likes chocolate. Rarely has it for same reasons as above; lack of money and opportunities.

It wasn’t the first time Jörn was doing a job like this. It probably wouldn’t be the last, either. He, alongside several others, would be sent off to a new world. They could return of course, assuming that their work was done and their gear remain intact, but based on previous experiences, he’d be here for a while.
He hadn’t viewed too much information on this New World aside from it followed pretty much the same geographical details as his own, as well as the resources which made it a key place to explore. Part of him felt a bit unsure about the concept of doing his job, that he knew this world would be a place to harvest more resources to further the advance of his own nation.

Of course, the other half of him knew if he did not move forwards in his job, he’d surely ‘vanish’. Which Jörn was not too fond of. But this job offered him pay, maybe not the best pay but it was money.

Drifting to a different world was a feeling you could not describe. You had to experience it. Even after drifting, which by no means was a natural thing, Jörn still had this shaky feeling in his mind. In his bones, his muscles, everything. You weren’t just traveling. You were going to a new universe. New rules. New place.
As Jörn arrives, pulling himself from the leafy ground, he recognizes that he’s in a forest. Not a big forest, he can already see the open area from here. He presses against a tree, regaining his balance.

Plant life seems to hold up. Similar to home. Noted.

Jörn takes out a scanner and plants it on the tree he had used as support moments before. That way, he would remember this location and be able to trace his steps back to it if need be. As well as constantly receiving new data. That would be another part of his job, to plant scanners all over the place.

Jörn sniffs, and even through the filters of his mask, he can tell the air here is far different from home. A bird catches his attention, and he watches it hop around on the ground for a few seconds, perhaps catching some insects, then taking off.

Life here. Noted.

If the concept that he’s getting right now proves to be true, then there would probably be humans here. Natives to this world. Did they have the same technology as his people did? Jörn has no way to tell. He looks up at the light, slightly clouded sky. Also a change.

Clear sky. Noted.

It’s almost like a dream.. Jörn shakes his head and all the thoughts he’d had away. He’s not here to sit dreamily about ‘what could have been.’ This is now. This is his job.
Jörn proceeds off and out of the woods, deciding his first course of action to see if there were any structured in this world. Probably, if his concept held up.

@ElderGod-Carrots

The only good thing about Sunday's is that amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) didn't have work. Well, occasionally she did, yes but it was a very rare these days. Mainly because she work four to five days and her manager was sweet to her. Today was one of those days where she was taking advantage of it.
The clear sky and beating sun meant a good day, it always did. Plus she didn't have to drive into the city which meant she good skate to the abandoned park and spend most of her day there unbothered.

Amelia had her headphones in as she skated down the side path. Not the easiest to skate on but it was the quickest way to the old park, running along side the old forest. If she wanted she could probably ride with her eyes closed since she'd been riding this path since she was little but, she always loved the sights that came with the ride. It was calming.

The old skate park wasn't too far away from the edge of the local town. The only reason it had been abandoned was because the council had decided to build a better one and re-locate it to the middle of the town for better access. Usually this meant the old one was always empty which was what amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) liked, no one to bother her apart from the occasional bird or rabbit but those were welcomed.

Jörn walked, occasionally pausing to inspect the area around him. Picking a sample of dirt from the ground, or a rock. Odd to him, everything seemed normal, undisturbed. A stark difference in comparison to home. Plants did exist back home, but not in the sector of the city he lived in. What you could see were plants cared for by people, but these plants.. just as he observed, they were undisturbed. Not cared for by humans.

Plants can survive here without human interference. Noted.

He stops in his place when he comes across a different landmark. It’s the skatepark, but Jörn doesn’t know that. He’s never seen one in reality. They do exist, but Jörn has never seen one.
He hangs out near the edge of the woods, noticing how clear it was.

Possible structure ahead, implying structures do exist in this world. Further inspection needed for settlements. Noted.

He’s not seen a single person out here, only small animals which stay away from him. Structure would imply humans, though. But he doesn’t see any. What purpose does this place serve? It’s almost a head scratcher for him. To try and figure out what this landmark was. He’s also tempted to go closer.

@ElderGod-Carrots

It was then that Amelia arrived at the park, rolling onto the smooth concrete with a happy sigh. She didn't notice Jörn at first, mainly because she was too focused on not falling off her board. She idly let herself roll round the dips and curves of the park, bopping along to her music.

But it was when she stopped to regain her balance did she notice the figure in the trees. She squinted, raising her hand to shield the light from her face. It was too hot to be that covered up, not in the middle of July, "Hey! You good bro?"

Deleted user

Jörn watches, stiffening upon seeing someone move into the area. He sees that she’s on some sort of moving object… Jörn almost moves forwards to try and get a better look. At that very moment, he heard her speak.

Jörn was the only one around as far he could tell. He glances around for extra confirmation.

Confirmation. There is a human. Noted.

But even the normally orderly voice in his mind can’t help but shake a little.
He doesn’t display any visible reaction at first, instead just standing there. After some time, he removes what seems to be a paper board from one of his small bags and writes down a few things on it, the things he’d noted before. Once he’s done, he puts away the board.

Consider form of introduction. Or possibly, not interact?

Jörn can imagine he looks real weird, just standing there in silence. Almost unmoving.

Better to get to know the locals. More information that way.

He clicks his tongue, deciding on his form of action. Jörn takes another moment before he acts on it.

“I’m fine,” he calls out. Even if he was yelling, it’s still easy to tell the slight muffle in his voice due to his mask. Jörn makes an attempt to have a confident sounding voice.

@ElderGod-Carrots

amy (the most wonderful woman in the world) frowned, picking up her board and taking a few steps closer. Could they be someone from in the city? Maybe another country? Maybe Australia since well, she knew it was winter over there. But if they’d come to America they must’ve known it was summer… she heard that their voice sounded muffled and it only made her more confused. Was he wearing a mask?

“Are you sure?” She asked, leaning against her skateboard, “Aren’t you, know you, hot? It’s the middle of summer why are you so covered up?”

They were a stranger and Amelia knew she probably shouldn’t be talking to them. But she was an adult, she could do what she wanted. More so, she wanted to know what they had written down a moment ago and why? Did he work for the government or something?

Deleted user

Jörn was quite warm, but it was apart of regulation to conceal your identity. Even in a new universe, the caution and guidelines that they’d put up back at home were almost staggering. Jörn wondered why they put them up sometimes, but rules were rules, and he wasn’t willing to give up a job.

Why are you so covered up..what could I..

It’s a few seconds before his next response.

“Costume,” he answers. Maybe not the best excuse he could use, but the best he can currently grasp. It didn’t seem too far fetched for him, he just wasn’t sure what type of response he’d receive here. After all, he wasn’t expecting to have been noticed within minutes of arrival. He was expecting to see someone, just not have that someone openly approach him.

@ElderGod-Carrots

Amelia narrowed her eyes, wanting to get closer but she also knew that that was probably a bad idea. But she wanted to know more and get to the bottom of this, being a naturally curious person it was in her nature to pursue it, even if it might get her in trouble.

“Costume?” She said slowly, “Where would you be going… in the middle of summer… in a costume… that has you so covered up?” She raised a brow.

There were some weird people in her town, most had come from the city and there was some strange people there. Maybe they were just one of them?

Deleted user

“Party,” Jörn answered, thoroughly confident. There was a flaw in that given he was out walking in the rural part of this area, and he’d have no idea what to say if she asked him where the party was. So he just needed to stand firm, hold his ground, and wait.

It was important not to lose yourself in this sort of situation, you needed a clear mind. A clear mind Jörn would hopefully have.

@ElderGod-Carrots

She was silent for a moment but then she shrugged. Party seemed plausible enough, even if it was strange to be having a costume party in the middle of summer but hey, who was she to judge, "Aight well, are you having trouble finding the location of this party? There's no one for a few miles out there in the forest."

Deleted user

Jörn was confident in his answer, though his heart couldn’t help but speed up the longer the silence went on. When she answered, there was a slight crack in Jörn‘s voice as his response came shortly after. Inwardly, he scolded himself for it.

“Well, no,” he lifted his arms to his chest, crossing them. “I’m fine, I can make my way around.” He begins to walk forwards. “See? I’m on my way now, yeah.”

@ElderGod-Carrots

"You don't seem too sure of yourself there mate," Amelia watched him for a moment but she backed off a moment later, spinning her board around before she tucked it under her arm, "You sure you don't need any help getting around? I've lived here a while I know this place like the back of my hand." She offered.

Being a people person it was in her nature to help others, and this guy seemed a little unsure of himself. Why not help another out?

Deleted user

Jörn froze up, halting. Thoughts went through mind as he considered. His answer came, his tone sounding almost nervous but becoming firm.
“Sure, sure. I’m not from around here anyways,” he admitted, which was true to a degree. “You live around here, so you do know it way better than me.”

The ‘party’ does not exist. What am I going to do…
At the same time, he knew denying any help and rushing off would prove to be suspicious. His goal here was to not attract any sort of notions. His mind scrambled to think of a story for himself just in case he was asked any questions.
