A figment is something a person believes to not truly be there. Sometimes, some figments can be so real, the person believes it really is there.

Upon waking up in a new world - a forest of some sorts, it’s quite clear you aren’t home anymore. No civilization in sight. Animals reign nearly free here; but you are not the only human left, fear not.

Or maybe you should be afraid. Night is coming soon.

You’d better find some shelter.

Alright, now for an explanation! This will be a MxF, and I’d prefer on being the female. However, as I don’t do romance very often, expect the romance to be a bit different.

The basis is that your character wakes up in an unknown valley/forest of some sorts. The day is pretty uneventful, but night comes soon, and we all know night is probably a risky time to be out and about in an unknown place. Your character should probably find shelter, make a fire, or both. Or not. It’s your choice, after all!

It won’t be night forever, though. Day will come soon, and hopefully your character survives with minimal injuries.

Now, for the template…

Name:
Age: (above 18 at least)
Gender:
Appearance:
Clothing:
Gear: (basically anything worth noting. Got a gun? Mention it here!)
Backstory: (doesn’t have to be an essay, but what was his life like before? Job? Any experience in weapons? It will be relevant!)
Personality: (how he reacts to situations, General personality.. etc etc)
Other: (add anything I missed.)

RULES
andrew (Our Supreme Lord and Overseer)’s rules apply. Cussing is allowed, violence is too. Gore.. it’s allowed, keep graphic descriptions to a minimum, though.

Anything sexual, keep it implied or to the PMs, but I dunno if we’ll reach that point. Just keep that in mind.

Name: Tahki (No last name.)
Age: 22
Gender: Female
Appearance: Warm, ivory skin. She’s got brown eyes with maybe golden flecks in them, or perhaps it’s just a trick of the light. Her dark brown hair is cut somewhat short, but goes down to the base of her neck. She keeps it out of her eyes.
In terms of build, Tahki is small, but somewhat average in height at around 5’9 (for her people.) She’s somewhat muscled, but not by much.
It should be noted she has slightly sharper teeth, and her canines are definitely sharp if those teeth are. Natural mutation, don’t worry - she’s human.

She’s got two small, faint scars on her lips and a more recent one on her left shoulder. She has a black spade tattoo on her right.

Clothing: Her clothing is made to defend against the weather and terrain she traverses nearly all day. It’s mostly brown, and seems to be made from various animal skins and furs. It covers her up fully. She wears a black undershirt underneath, as well as pants. Her boots aren’t as heavy, but they have good traction. She’s got leather gloves, too.

Occasionally, especially when ‘hunting’ she wears a mask, or ‘hood’ that can be pulled from the back of her clothing she wears. It seems to mimic an unidentifiable animal of some sorts. Two eyeholes allow her to see clearly.

Gear: A crudely made, sad excuse for a gun with no ammo. It’s kind of like a handgun..but not really. She has a satchel, and in it are various medical supplies and a small sketchbook. As well as a piece of charcoal.
She’s equipped with a sharp spear, though.

Backstory: Tahki was from one of many clans, though hers was one of the major, large clans. She learned many things there, living there nearly all her life. She left for an unknown reason.
Tahki learnt English in this clan as well. She was a warrior of this clan.
Personality: Tahki is cautious to new people, ‘outsiders’, as she calls them. She respects the nature, and holds deep value in her beliefs.
Despite this, Tahki is also caring, and will either help or ‘spare’ a person she has seen that hasn’t done much wrong. Tahki is inquisitive, and likes to learn. She also has an artistic side, and sometimes a humorous side.
Due to her background, she doesn’t react to some situations the same way someone from a more ‘modern’ world might.
Other: TBD

Name: Yazov Yurievich
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Appearance: Around 6’3 in terms of height, a man of a toned build. Blue eyes described as ‘piercing’ by some. His hair isn’t visible for the most part, but for your knowledge, it’s light brown. Shortish.
He’s fair skinned, maybe a bit pale.
Clothing: His wardrobe should be described as dark by most, while he wears a lower face mask (meaning his upper half of his face is visible.) The clothing he wears is made to protect - boots, gloves, a vest; basically defend against bullets. It’s definitely got limits, and Yazov is well aware. He’s got a helmet to match.
Gear: A rifle with a limited number of ammo left and night vision goggles. He’s got a few smaller supplies on him, but not much (like meds and such.)
Backstory: Yazov came from somewhere by Eastern Europe. He was apart of some sort of task force, and he did his job well, until waking up in a world he doesn’t know the name of yet.
Personality: Yazov’s first reaction when presented with an unfamiliar place or situation is to be cautious. Do not take chances.
He’s very curious, though. Sometimes a bit stubborn, but he means well. He can come off as aggressive, but often seeks forgiveness when he knows he has been wronged.
Other: N/A

Yazov blinked, brushing his eyes with a gloved hand. He pauses, then realizes it’s the setting sun in his eyes. Evening already?

Yazov realizes something is wrong. He sits up almost immediately, noticing his surroundings. He’s sitting on dirt. Dirt. He’s in a forest. Without hesitation, he gets up onto his feet and looks around. The trees are tall, taller than he’s ever seen. He stares up at them, but he cannot see the tops.

Yazov looks around again. He’s lost. No forms of communication.

He then hears something. It’s like a whoosh. The sound of water. Yazov begins to walk in that direction, getting his gun ready - just in case.

@Mojack group

Tahki is walking, using her spear as an aid.

She always walks, daily. Sometimes she runs. Climbs. Jumps. Swims.

She’s patrolling, to keep herself safe. Her former clan would no longer take her, and if they dare see her again, Erav knows what they would do to her. Other clans would not be so welcoming, either. Other people?

Probably the same.

She pauses when she sees some movement. A dark shape. An oddly dressed figure. Her eyes narrow as she watches the figure, lowering herself onto the ground.

Tahki is curious. Who is this lonesome figure, and what are they doing?

There is only one way to find out.

Tahki begins pursuit in the underbrush.

Yazov glances behind him every now and then. He doesn’t like being in a forest where wild animals could sneak up on him at any second.

The trees come to a break, and Yazov arrives at the edge of a large lake. There seem to be a few islands here and there. He stares out at the edge of it, faced away from the trees.

@Mojack group

Tahki watches as the human comes to a stop.

She recognizes the weapon he is holding. She had only heard of such weapons in action. Their rapid fire, and power they came with. She glanced at her satchel as her eyes quickly move to the human again. Gripping her spear, she readies herself.

She jumps.

Deleted user

Yazov knew there was something, or someone trailing behind him for a while now. He was still surprised when he heard the faint movement of someone charging at him.

He turns, pointing his rifle right in the direction of the enemy.

@Mojack group

Tahki freezes, skidding on the ground slightly. The rocks shift under her as she takes a step back, her spear in the air but still held by her hands.

She lowers herself. Eyes looking towards the person who had aimed a weapon at her. But her eyes do not show submission; momentary surprise, then stubbornness, and a will to survive.

She takes a step back, and the only noise she can hear is the nature. She watches the human carefully.

Deleted user

Yazov doesn’t lower his weapon. There’s an audible exhale from him, as he steps to the side, circling her. He finds her choice of clothing odd. And there’s that spear.

He steps towards her, keeping his weapon pointed.

@Mojack group

Tahki steps back even more. She looks like she’s ready to flee, putting her spear away. And yet there is his weapon, still a risk to her. She bares her teeth, and though they are not visible, she hisses, keeping herself lowered while also making an attempt to move away. Without getting shot, of course.

Deleted user

Yazov pauses, debating on whether he seriously heard that or not.

Did they hiss?

He can clearly tell by the body language that this person is cautious of him. Maybe even aggressive.

He doesn’t even know if they’re human or not, since he can’t see their face. Yazov seems to consider options before thrusting his rifle forwards again, as if to show, no, I’m the boss. Do not leave.

@Mojack group

Tahki flinches, then her eyes narrow again. She’s prepared to dart, run away as fast as possible, when she freezes. Her eyes do not look at the human, but rather, behind him, in the water.

Something ripples against the surface as it moves towards the shore.

Deleted user

Yazov tenses, but he seems to lower his weapon when he realizes the other person is clearly worried about something behind them now.

But for all he knew, it was probably a trick to drift his attention away. Yazov steps back, aiming his rifle again.

@Mojack group

Tahki sees it. The lake creature that lived here; one of its older offspring. She curls back her lips and grips her spear, taking a risk as she leapt forwards and prepared to dig her spear into the serpentine form of the creature.

Deleted user

Yazov almost gets ready to shoot when they move again. They’re aiming for him; he’s going to die-

No.

Yazov is surprised when the person darts by and pushes their spear into the water. He takes a few steps away, watching to see what it was.

@Mojack group

Dark blood rises to the surface as the serpent struggles. She lets it go; the serpent has learnt its lesson. The creature swims off into the distance, behind it a pool of blood slowly fading.

She stares out into the waters, almost forgetting the human.

Deleted user

He realizes something was approaching him. He had no idea what that creature was- an eel? -but this person had saved him. Most likely, from his perspective.

“Thank you.” He called out.

@Mojack group

Tahki stiffens, turning to look at the human. She turns back to the water and leans down, mumbling something, then getting up and moving away. She walks past the human without acknowledging him.
