(lmaooo she presents Lucian with something she stole and he goes "where the fuck did you get this" she goes "I stole it", he's like "haha no really, where" and she goes "no really, I stole it" and they just go "wait you fucking what?")

He laughed a little, then waved to Charlie. "Yeah, we'll see you there." He replied, then looked at Con. "So you can do all the physical junk while I serenade you with song and poem, sound good?" They asked, laughing a little to himself as he looked at her, a small smile on his face.

@croccin-champagne

(('look at this cool and dangerous mythological item!' 'what the heck' 'its mine now!' 'cON'))

Con's eyes lit up, if it was even possible for them to do that more. "I love being serenaded! And of course, I love teamwork. Every job is better done with people working together. Even dancing. You have a very lovely smile." She added, tugging him towards the truck. She waved a wild goodbye at Charlie as she did, her friend reciprocating the gesture and enthusiasm.

"Have you ever been to Istanbul?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

(sjdbskdb yup)

Lucian smiled again at the compliment, then shook his head. "I have not. I would love to go sometime, though. I have been to Greece, though. And Italy." He added after a moment as they followed her towards the truck. He hummed a little bit.

@croccin-champagne

"That's said. They have good music." Con said, only releasing Lucian when they had neared the truck enough for her to unlock it and climb in. "So does Greece though, in most places. Italy too. Maybe I just like any music…" She trailed off, seemingly losing herself in thought as she climbed into the driver's seat of the truck. "That might be it. What's your favorite kind of music? Vibe, genre, song. Anything works."

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Ah, that's a difficult question." They thought for a moment, closing his eyes as he considered the words. "I really don't know, to be honest. I'm not overly picky about style. Or vibe. Or genre. Like…if I had to pick, I like simpler songs, with just guitar or piano or strings backing the voice, without too much post-production work done to it, but I also love some songs with heavy editing, so. I don't know. What about you?".

@croccin-champagne

"Similar answer." Con said, starting up the truck and buckling. "Except it's kind of just 'whatever I'm in the mood for'. You know? But man, I love anything upbeat. Punk rock, folk, indie rock. I guess if it's got a cool enough beat, I'm already into it. I'm a dancer." She said proudly, even though she definitely was not. Average skills at dancing didn't count as being a dancer. Not that she needed to mention that. "Right now it's this one Avril Lavigne song–I'll play it for you sometime. Oh, do you know Passenger?"

((i offer…a Response))

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Passenger…the artist? Only their most well-known song. Let her go? I think. Yeah. That's the only one of their songs that I know." Lucien said, looking over at her with a faint shrug of their shoulders. "So, I mean, I'm vaguely familiar? But not a lot. Sorry." They laughed a little, shaking their head.

(:O)

@croccin-champagne

"You are so missing out." She stated as they pulled out of the parking space. "Trust me. Keep On Walking is my all-time favorite by him, but I love so much of his music. If you get the chance, listen to it. See if you can guess why I like it. But Let Her Go is a great gateway song, if you utilize it." One hand on the wheel and the other in the air waving around, she seemed to glow when she got going on a topic. "What songs would you recommend to me?"

@ElderGod-Icefire

"Alright, I'll check him out sometime." He said. "And as for music I'd recommend…I mean, Here Comes the Sun by the Beatles is great, even if normally you don't like the Beatles. Ruelle and Fleurie are pretty great, too, they both have these soft but powerful voices, it's great. Peter Hollens is phenomenal. He's an acapella artist, just." They made a vague gesture. "I just love him, so much. Conan Grey is good, he has this soft voice but good songs. It's great. He's great. Uh… Penelope Scott is great if you want to be angry at America and stuff." They laughed a little bit, shrugging one shoulder.

@croccin-champagne

She grinned, doing her best to note the artists and songs. Thank the gods for a good memory. "I'm gonna have a fun summer, checking all of those out. If I ever see you again, expect to be talking about it a lot. I'll be listening to them for you." She winked, blowing a joking kiss in their direction. "Something tells me this wont be the only time you ever see me, though. Feels a bit more important. That definitely makes sense."

((fhjdjhdf if we want to skip ahead like Right Now, i dont mind starting that))

@croccin-champagne

((wait omg i had it right here. i was thinking about skipping to olympus, and having them meet after like…a scene of them doing their things separately? like, if we wanted them to meet at a party, then we could have them getting the invites and then getting ready(ft any friends they have) and then boom. party. mayhaps?))

@croccin-champagne

((not my dumb ass totally forgetting about this wtfffff))

There was something about Olympus.

Con had never really felt at home anywhere, save for running around large cities. But there was something to Olympus that called to her. Like whatever magic held it together was running through her blood as well. She had wasted no time diving right into her messenger duties, getting to know every god and demigod and nymph she could. There were always new people, cycling in and out. Maybe that was what got her.

After a delivery to Apollo, god of the sun, who had seemed a bit preoccupied with a conversation with someone she hadn't seen, she hit the ground in the central pavilion. Just as the wings on her shoes powered down, someone slammed into her side.

"Con! I've been looking for you everywhere." Ziva, a daughter of Aphrodite, had taken ahold of her hands and was spinning her in circles. She was a ball of energy, always in a hurry. And the girl could talk circles around an auctioneer. She and Con were a match made in introvert's hell. "There's a party tonight!"

"So I've heard. You're going? Matching outfits is a must-do."

"Gods, I'm so glad you're my friend. I was thinking the same! Dionysus is hosting, so you know this one is going to be good."

Con had always been social, but it had been so long since she'd gotten ready with someone else. She had missed it. The loud music, sitting on each other's laps to apply eyeliner, and trying on every outfit they had.

Ziva had said the dresscode was 'mortal fashion', leaving them with a wide variety of options. Eventually, Con had settled on a sequined bodycon dress with spaghetti straps and a looser neckline. It was in a rose pink, and Ziva sported a matching dress with a square neckline and long sleeves. According to the daughter of Aphrodite, they were 'dressing to kill tonight'.

Lucien had been working with Apollo for a few days now, working to hone the prophecy skills that he had. It was a rarer gift, as far as abilities went, especially because Apollo was the god of so many things that the gifts he passed on were widely varied. Lucien had one of the strongest prophecy gifts in a while, though he was very untrained in it and they often had only flashes or snatches of the future or futures before it was gone again. So today they had been working to put Lucien into a trance, so as to make it easier for him to see whole, long stretches. It had worked, sort of. It had been longer than normal, but some specific details escaped Them. Faces, names. That sort of thing. He knew he would run into someone at the party they were going to later, but who, he had no idea. Their vision hadn't quite worked properly.

It was frustrating, for both them and Apollo, that this wasn't working right, but they knew they would continue working on it. So they headed off with one of their friends/family to get ready for the party. Their friend, Mara, also had a prophecy gift, though she often used it in tandem with tarot cards or other such items, telling fortunes and futures with the help of cards. Her father was a son of Apollo, and her mother was Hecate, so she was technically his niece, despite being the same age.

Mara, true to form, was in a deep purple formal gown, which was floor length and had elbow length sleeves, along with a pair of black lace gloves. With her dark hair, gold eyes, and dramatically done makeup, she looked like a witch. She really did. She also looked like a knockout. Lucien, at first, hadn't even wanted to go, but after the vision they saw, they had changed their mind. Now, though, he needed to get something to wear, and that was where he was having trouble.

Mara came to the rescue, creating him an outfit that was half dress, half suit, much like the things Billy Porter was known for wearing. It started on top like a white button up, before flowing down into a skirt. Over top, a black vest also flowed down over the skirt. Mara also tucked a few pins into his hair to hold it back, and he did his own makeup. Sharp eyeliner, and rather neutral eyeshadow, without any lipstick, though he did apply some lip gloss. Finally, they were ready, and headed off towards the party together.

Olympus had it's share of great party spots. From the pavilions, to the clearings in the woods–great for ragers–, to the ballrooms in the castle. Tonight's party was being held in one of the latter locations, an open air ballroom that jutted out over the side of the mountain. Every building was similar, built half in and half out of the mountain, or perched on any open space.

There were small balls of softly glowing lights strewn about, like some magical version of fairylights, and Ziva spent a full five minutes going over the skill it took to create and hold a ball like that, let alone multiple permanent ones. Con knew her friend was fascinated by elemental magic, likely due to her own lack. So she listened as long as she could before dragging her out onto the dancefloor. It reminded her of the nightlife in Paris, somehow. Wild and sophisticated all at the same time. They had cocktail shrimp at the refreshment tables, for Gods' sakes.

Con and Ziva spun circle after circle, lost in their own little world as they took dance partner after dance partner. Each other, gods, demigods. Con was fairly certain she danced with a ghost at one point.

@ElderGod-Icefire

Lucien and Mara arrived together, Mara immediately waving to her girlfriend. One of them, anyway. Lucien was never sure on the number of partners Mara had at any given time; Mara was poly, and so while Lucien was reasonably sure this was her girlfriend, that didn't necessarily mean that the other was her only girlfriend. In any case, the girl came over and she and Mara were out on the dance floor in moments. Lucien chose to hover along the edges for a while, sipping at some of the refreshments. Just some juice, not anything wilder than that. They had learned a long time ago that alcohol on Olympus was not always necessarily safe to consume for normal people. Even demigods.
