@callycat

Ori smiled over at him, leaning over to give Archer a soft peck on the cheek. "Yeah, I know. That was true before we even got together, you've always been real affectionate with me."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"I'm a very affectionate person. Fen only gives his to people he believes deserve it. Which can be mean because when he's mad at me he'll say I don't deserve it and starve me of love." Archer huffed with a pout.

@callycat

Ori frowned at that, leaning in to give Archer another soft kiss. "Well that's a little rude. Even if you can be annoying, you don't deserve to be cut off like that."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Exactly! But I know he's only kidding, his resolve only lasts for a few hours before he apologizes with lots of kisses and snuggles. He always feels bad after ignoring me." Archer giggled with a shrug.

@callycat

"As he should!" Ori laughed quietly, scooting a little closer to Archer. "You're lovely, you deserve to be showered in affection all the time."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Well, it looks like that'll have to be your job." Archer beamed, almost subconsciously leaning closer to Ori. "Ya know, I'm curious. Why do you like Fen? Like, what makes you attracted to him?"

@callycat

(I'm going to be offline for a couple weeks for a family vacation!)
.
"Well he's hot, obviously, but…" Ori flushed a little, glancing over at Fen again. "I don't know, I guess I like how competent he is. He could just… he could take care of you, you know?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

(Ooo, have fun!)
.
"Ignoring the fact you just inadvertently called me stupid, I agree with you. He's smart, he knows how to read people and how to best take care of them. It's honestly a talent."

@callycat

(I did! Thanks so much for being patient)
.
"I didn't call you stupid!" Ori bumped their shoulders together, pouting playfully. "I just said you weren't competent, there's a big difference. But beyond that, yeah. You get it—probably better than I do considering how long you two have been together.

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Three years will do that to a person. If only it wasn't so difficult to convince him to let someone else take care of him for once. It's like pulling teeth trying to get him to take a break and relax."

@callycat

Ori sighed quietly, pressing a little closer to Archer's side. "Yeah, he's wound pretty tight, but maybe the two of us will have a little more luck than you would by yourself. I mean… at the very least we'll outnumber him."

@callycat

"Mhm, very intuitive." Ori laughed quietly, glancing over at Fen to see how far along his conversation was. "And I'm sure he wouldn't complain about it at all either."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"Once you got past the initial complaints, definitely." A couple minutes later, Fen came over to their table. "I distinctly remember telling you two to stay where you were." "Blame Ori, he's the one that dragged me over here."

@callycat

"We got tired Fen, it's not our fault you took an hour to talk to Dilena." He smiled up at Fen, reaching over to take his hand. "But anyways, that's beside the point! Tell us what sort of work she had."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

Fen rolled his eyes and took Ori's hand. "Well, we're in luck. There's a high ranked guild in town and they've got some pretty high paying quests. Difficult, of course, but bag a lot if you come back alive."

@callycat

Ori gave him a sunny smile in return, lacing their fingers together and pulling Fen down to sit. "Well that sounds fun, why don't we go check them out after we eat?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"That is if they'll listen to us." Fen huffed. "Yeah, a lot of people like to laugh us right out of a guild meeting because they think we're under quafi- under quani- Fen, what's the word?" "Under qualified. They think we're too low level for it despite doing this for years. But with you around, maybe they'll finally take us seriously."

@callycat

"I don't know how much credibility I add sweetheart, but hopefully it'll be enough for us to do something worthwhile. Any idea what we'll be squaring up against, or are we going in blind?"

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"It's not the credibility, it's the appearance. At least now we look more official." Fen huffed. "As for what we'll be facing, I'm not sure. Looks like we're going in blind."

@callycat

Ori sighed, but it wasn't like the answer was unexpected. "You're going to be on high alert the whole time then, aren't you? The only time they don't tell is when it's something hard to kill."

@callycat

"I know, it's not you're fault they're a bunch of secretive bastards." He sighed again, leaning against Fen's side. "I just wish they weren't so hard to work with, that's all."

@callycat

"Not to mention secretive." Ori huffed quietly. "For a guild looking to hire out some extra help, they sure do suck at giving us the details we'll need."

@Elder-God-Jacks347

"That's what happens when you get to be high level. Honestly, it's why I've never fully been able to get into adventuring like others. I don't want to become that."

@callycat

Ori wrinkled up his nose at the thought. "God, yeah. I'd hate to turn into one of those bastards, even if they do give us help from time to time. The higher position isn't worth being so insufferable."

@callycat

Ori pushed himself up at well, lingering by the side of the table so he could take Archer's hand before they followed Fen out the door. "How much will we be getting for it, exactly? Usually they at least let you know about rewards."
