Okay, okay. They needed to think, needed to carefully assess everything. They quickly found the heart and picked it up gently, carefully cleaning off the dust and hurrying back to the vampires side. They were extremely careful as they moved to put the heart back, they knew some basic vampire biology, it was a requirement… but they were careful as they gently started to tend to the open wounds, cleaning them out with an oddly colored slime. Their hands glowed faintly with magic, their wings fluttering a little bit as they tried so desperately to clean up the mess. They prayed that they wouldn't be sighted, after all it was considered treason and they would be killed on sight if they were seen helping a vampire.

Dictatia felt his chest close up, just as usual. Healing didn't usually go this quickly when a vampire's heart was still resettling in their chest, but the fae magic did seem to help. He writhed in pain-he could move, finally! and let out a hushed groan, biting his lip to silence his pain. He couldn't show weakness in front of a disgusting, filthy fae bastard. Dictatia resolved to, regardless of whatever happened, never reveal his name. He knew what fae did with names, and if he was going to be brought back for torture to get information out of him, he would die first, and die properly.

They didn't ask for a name, most of the time keeping quiet to help as much as they could. They glanced at him and smiled a little. "Don't worry, it'll be okay. I- I'm not exactly sure where to take you- is your home close by- I could take you to mine but it might be riskier-" They started mumbling a little bit to try and focus one helping the other wounds. "Uh just try not to move to much while I work on these. It should help a little bit with keeping the wounds intact enough for you to at least walk-" They inhaled softly and tried to carefully make sure that their magic kept things intact. They inhaled shakily in realization that they could easily be killed if the vampire so desired.

"My home is forbidden to fae scum like you." he bit out, making his best attempt to get away via ineffectual crawling, "and I certainly won't join you in yours. So leave me. I will heal." no, he wouldn't, the fae that attacked him would come back or another group would come, or worse, fae military patrols would come here and actually kill him. This fae was his only chance, but he refused to work with them even if it would kill him. He would never, ever trust a fae.

They rolled their eyes, "Blah, blah, blah fae scum etc, etc. That's not the first time I've head the "fae scum" speech. Stow it for someone that actually cares. Right now you need a place to rest and recover. So it's either your place or mine." They rolled their eyes and sighed. "Now hold still for the love of the gods-" They carefully finished up cleaning up the wounds and making sure they were fully sealed. "Okay. Now- as long as you don't tug on it too much it should be fine until we can get you to a place where I can actually take care of your wound with real medical supplies…" They inhaled and stood slowly, keeping a careful eye out for any fae military patrols as they offered their hands. "Come on you big baby. Let's get you taken care of."

Dictatia, upon thinking further, decided it would probably be a good idea to simply work with this fae until he could stab them in the back. They seemed pathetic enough, and even without his powers he would still figure something out, or recover enough to blast the little twerp into oblivion.

Aeris on the other hand, had no intent on killing the vampire. They were tired of the war, and at the moment they didn't care who was on what side. They just wanted to war to be over with. They tried to see the good in people on either side, which could get dangerous. They offered a tiny smile to the vampire. "There, all good. Now- uh. Is your place closer? Or should we head to mine?" They gently help the vampire up, supporting them. "My name is Aeris by the way." They offer a tired smile.

(I'm taking a minute to respond to this. I sometimes don't respond to things for a length of time, but I do respond.)

"I didn't ask you to help me, and I won't tell you my name. I know what the fae folk do. How they eat you, inside out, until there's nothing left but a rotting carcass under the boiling sun, flies swarming." Dictatia let out a quiet hiss, and walked barefoot on the hard gravel. They'd taken his shoes, it was a strange thing to do but maybe he had good shoes.

They hummed and shrugged a bit. "I was just telling you my name for reference. You don't have to tell me yours." They chuckled softly and sighed. "I don't usually make those kind of deals. Maybe bug someone occasionally for little gifts but eating people isn't my thing. My job is healing." They glanced at the vampires feet and paused before looking at the vampire. "Do you want me to wrap your feet?" They ask quietly before looking at the border. "And we'll go to your realm… it would be easier for you to heal there, correct?"

"My home is not welcome to you. And as stated before, I do not intend to join you in your own place of refuge. Either leave me here to find my own way or kill me, but I'm not going to follow you like a sick dog wherever you please." he growled, pulling away from the fae violently and limping on forward.

@Vuclan-is-tired

They rolled their eyes. "You're not really in a position to be left alone right now. As for me not being welcome, I couldn't care less. You're injured. Further more, you're not following me, I'm following you to make sure you at least get back home safely." They dust themselves off and huff softly and place a hand on their hip. "You're a stubborn fuck I'll give you that much." They sigh deeply and move back to the vampires side. "That doesn't mean I'm going to leave you here though."

“Well, then drag me off, because I’m certainly not going to go anywhere with you willingly.” Dictatia grumbled, ripping himself away from them again to move forward, this time limping slightly faster than usual. He was going so fast, he tumbled to the ground with his exertions, scraping his face on the hard gravel.

@Vuclan-is-tired

They rolled their eyes before watching him limp off and sighing softly when the vampire fell flat on his face. "For the love of mother earth." They walked to his side and gently helped him up again and looking over his wounds. They sighed and gently looked over the wounds. "Great… you reopened three and we are not getting anywhere- I'm taking you to your realm and I'm dragging you this time because it's apparent your pride is more important than your well being." They clicked their tongue and picked him up easily. "Alright. Off we go."
