Eugene Wakefield looked out his tower window anxiously. Princess Ann was tied up in a chair nearby, the floor beneath her covered in runic marks that he activated with a spell. It would keep anyone who crossed over the invisible line to get to the princess freeze in midair for half a minute or so. Good enough defenses. Now Eugene was just staring out the window of the incredibly large tower, watching for the handsome knight to come running. Eugene sighed and forced himself to look away and preoccupy himself by tying up his midnight black hair. The knight would get here soon enough, hopefully, at least.
Alexis sighed with a groan as he checked the princesses room and she wasn't there. The sorcerer had probably nabbed her again. This is the fifth time this week! He complained in his head, rolling his eyes and grabbing his sword. "I swear to god if this man does it one more time this week I will murder him." He growled as he got onto his horse and started riding her to the tower. Alexis tied her to a tree and put up the ladder he always brought. "I'm here." He called up. "Now can I please get Ann back? I'm tired."
Eugene had to bite his lip to keep himself from squealing in excitement, quickly dashingly back to the window, “Hello~” He called in a singsong voice, smiling as he looked upon Alexis. He was so hot… Eugene shook his head at himself before continuing, “I would just go get her for you, but unfortunately I tied her up. Whoops, I guess you’ll just have to come up here and save her.” He grinned down at Alexis, practically leaning half his body out of the window.
Alexis groaned and started up the ladder, glaring. "Move please, I would like to go soon." He said curtly, scowling at the sorcerer. He climbed in through the window and got to work on the ropes holding Her Highness. "Could we please cut down on the kidnappings? Both I and the princess have better things to be doing."
The princess made a noise in agreement, but the gag kept her from forming words. Eugene plopped on his bed, flipping through a grimoire as he drawled, “Nonsense, you always have enough time for me.” He glanced up at Alexis to sneak a peak at his muscles, before going back down to his book, “Besides, you hardly stay long enough. Shouldn’t you like fight me or something to win the princess back?” Eugene asked seriously, but a giggle and a snort escaped him.
Alexis took of the princess's gag, going to glare at Eugene. "I'd fight you, but I don't care enough for that." He raised an eyebrow then turned back to the princess. "Are you alright Ann? I brought Carrot if you want to go down now. I feel like I might be here for a while to deal with his bullshit." Alexis jutted a finger at the sorcerer.
“Yes, I indeed would,” The princess quickly stood of the chair and straightened her back, huffing a breath before briskly walking to the window to climb down, but not before giving the emerald eyed prince a glare. Eugene didn’t pay her any heed, instead tracing a line in his grimoire. “Altac Marvok,” He commanded, casting a spell towards the knight. It should freeze him in place for a little bit, if Eugene performed it correctly. He looked back to Alexis eagerly, resting his chin on his hand, “You feel any different?”
Alexis rolled his eyes. "Of course I do, you froze me in place. You really need to get better spells. You use this one too often." He bit back, it almost never worked though, so the sorcerer really was getting better. "At least this time it worked."
“Ooo goodie!” Eugene sprung up from the bed, pulling up the chair that the princess had been tied to. He sat down right next to the handsome knight, “Soooo… how’s your day going?” He asked, his grin spreading from ear to ear. He could tell the knight was a bit grumpy, but in all honesty, Eugene only thought Alexis was even more cute.
"Shitty, I had to come here right after training." Alexis scowled deeper, his blue eyes glaring holes into Eugene's stupid head. "So can we please finish this quickly? I want to go home and take a nap and forget about you until you annoy me tomorrow."
“Aww, come on you don’t mean that.” Eugene crossed his arms over his chest made a pouting face. “Besides, I have a comfy enough bed if you ever wanted to take a nap in my tower,” He flirted a bit, though he couldn’t help his own cheeks from gaining a pinkish tint.
Alexis looked unamused, both his eyes looking up to the sky like 'Where did I go wrong?'. He sighed. "Stop, get some help." The spell was starting to wear off, so he flexed his fingers and cracked his neck.
Eugene rolled his eyes, “Come on, let a lonely evil sorcerer have his fun.” He stood from the chair, half of him wanting to peck Alexis on the cheek before he left, but he managed to hold himself back. Eugene walked back over to plop on his bed, leaning on the bedpost, “Wouldn’t you rather hang out with me than go to your old boring castle and nap, of all things?”
"No, I'm sleep deprived and one move away from bashing your pretty little face in." He growled, stretching back to his full height of six feet. "Now let me go please, the princess is going to be pissed if she doesn't get home soon."
“Aww, you called me pretty!” Eugene grinned, but he was already getting out his grimoire again to get the releasing spell. He squinted at the text, “Ertec- Ertecio Moonat,” He commanded, waving a hand at Alexis.
"Thanks." He started when the spell took effect, fully unfreezing his body. He grabbed his bag from where he had dropped it, not noticing that his small locket that held a picture of his sister had tumbled out. "However, I must be going."
