The person nodded at Adelina and began tending to Abaven's wound. Abaven let the stranger treat him, there wasn't really a way for him to resist anyway. He looked at Adelina and tried to smile. "Worried about me, eh?"

Deleted user

"Thank you so much, sir." She sent Abaven a small smile back. ".. yes, very worried actually… did you happen to see who did this to you?"

Deleted user

"Yeah, I know the guy who did this," he winced in pain as the healer started to bandage his wound. "It's not important."

Deleted user

"Of course it's important, I can do something about it and stop him from doing anything like this in the future." As the healer finished, Adelina smiled. "Thank you so much, sir."

Deleted user

The healer nodded and walked away from the scene.
Abaven inhaled sharply and tried to stand up. "It's really not something you should get yourself involved with."

Deleted user

"Let me help you up. I bet my sister would be more than happy to let you lay down." Adelina stood up and slowly pulled Abaven up to help him walk to Kalevi's house. "Also, why shouldn't I get involved? No matter how much I don't love Robert, he has a lot of power with this kind of thing."

Deleted user

He thanked her and tried to make escorting him to Kalevi's house easy for her. "You shouldn't get involved because it would tarnish your reputation, milady."
Kalevi sighed with relief when she saw her sister and opened the door for the two. "Sit," she told the two of them, gesturing towards the couch.
Abaven sat down as carefully as he could, grateful for the couch.

Adelina stayed standing up so that Abaven could lay down. "I don't care about my reputation if it means–" She realized what she was saying. "I mean, okay. I will not get involved since you insist." Looking over at her sister, she gave her a small smile.

Kalevi smirked at her sister, fully aware of what she was going to say. She looked at Abaven and asked if he wanted water, to which he replied with a nod. Kalevi left the room for a while.

Abaven looked at Adelina. "I'm sorry you have to deal with all this," he gestured to his wound

"No no no, it's okay. I'm happy to help you. If there is anything you need, you can ask. Okay?" Adelina was still very worried about Abaven and it was slightly obvious.

Abaven raised an eyebrow at her, but felt it wasn't his place to question her, so he remained silent. Kalevi returned with the water, and Abaven thanked her and drank it in almost one gulp.
"Are you going to return home after this?" Kalevi asked her sister.

Adelina glanced at Abaven giving him a very subtle smile, then at her sister with a straight face. "Yes, I am. There has already been more action on this one trip than I have had in a long long time." She still was planning on going to visit their brother with Abaven, but she didn't want to tell her sister about it.

Abaven stayed silent. Whatever Adelina was trying to hide from her sister, he thought it was best to just keep quiet.
Kalevi smiled. "Very good." She turned to Abaven. "Be sure to take care of yourself after you escort her home!"
Abaven nodded, still silent.

"Kalevi, I am starved, do you need any help making dinner?" Adelina sent her sister a smile.

Deleted user

"Oh! No, please, you're my guest!" She quickly rushed over to the kitchen. "It'll be done in a few minutes."

Deleted user

"If you insist!" She said with a little laugh. Adelina sat down in a chair next to the couch that Abaven was on. "Hey… how are you feeling?" She didn't care how many times she asked that she could help but feel guilty for his injury. She didn't know why, but she did.

Deleted user

"I'm fine physically. Mentally, I'm worried." He admitted. "I won't be able to protect you as well after this."

Deleted user

Adelina nodded and smiled. "I bet we can stay here as long as we want, my sister is very kind and she would do anything fo me. But if you want to leave right away, that is okay as well. I doubt you will have to do much protecting anyway." She thought for a moment. "And I can help you along the way, I don't mind at all."

Deleted user

"I can't ask that of you, Adeli- milady." He stopped himself before saying her name. It was against their code to say their customer's name. He shifted, trying to sit up more. "I'll try not to let this wound affect me too much. Besides," he grinned at her. "I'm a quick healer."

Deleted user

Adelina smiled as Abaven started saying her name. She honestly wished he would call her by her name. She called him 'Abaven' so why not call her 'Adelina'? "You didn't ask and I insist. It is unfair to have you trying to protect me, while you are also badly wounded."

Deleted user

"It is my duty to protect you, even if I am near death's door." He said, seemingly unbothered by it. "If you really want to help, just be sure to tell me if you see or hear anything suspicious."

Deleted user

"Okay, I will definitely do that," Adelina said with a smile. "I'm going to check on my sister… stay there." She walked off into the kitchen.

Kalevi was smirking at her sister the moment she walked him. "I think I found your future husband," she laughed.

Deleted user

Rosy pink lightly filled Adelina's cheeks. She sent a small glare and a fake laugh in Kalevi's direction. "What… what do you mean? There's nothing happening, our relationship is purely professional."
