Revil grinned, nodded and went to sit back down. “If you say so.”

"I do say so," Skylar chuckled. She dried the last dish and made her way back to the table, sitting where she had for dinner. "So. Cheesecake?"

Revil grinned and flipped the top off of the thing of cheesecake with a flourish. “Right here!”

Skylar hummed in appreciation of the delicious-looking dessert. Blinking once, she shot out of her chair and back to the kitchen. “We forgot plates and forks!”

Revil jumped slightly in his seat when she jumped up and smiled sheepishly. “Right. Those.”

Skylar quickly grabbed what they needed and sat back down, handing Revil one of each. “All right. Now we can eat.”

Revil relaxed again and grabbed a plate and fork from her. “Thanks. A knife?”

Skylar blinked and stared at him for a moment before groaning and setting her head on the table. “I forgot…”

Revil laughed softly and patted her shoulder from across the table. “That’s okay. I’d offer to get it, but I do not know where the knives are.”

"Don't worry… I'll get it," Skylar sighed, pushing her chair back as she stood. A moment later, she came back with a knife in her hand and passed it to Revil with a sheepish smile.

Revil assured her with a wide smile of his own before cutting into the cheesecake. “Here you go!” He dished her a piece.

"Mm… It looks great," Skylar hummed before she tucked into it.

Revil hummed in agreement and bit into his too. It was just a plain vanilla, but it was very good.

“Cheesecake is probably my favorite dessert,” Skylar stated after a while. “Well… After Oreo milkshakes, that is.”

Revil laughed over his mouthful and nodded. “Cheesecake is the best.”

Skylar chuckled and smiled up at him. “Yeah. You did a great job, too!”

Revil waved a hand. “Dawww. It was nothing.”

“Making a good cheesecake is not ‘nothing’, Revil,” Skylar said, grinning at him.
