“Enjoying the view?” William teased as he turned around, not bothering to put on a shirt. His eyes fell on her bare legs, falling on the marks he’d littered everywhere. Was there any part of her that his mouth hadn’t touched like that? If there was, he was sure to cover it next time.
William walked over to her, pulling her closer before slipping his hands on her thighs, rubbing soft circles. “So. Eggs and toast?”
Amber smiled up at him, breathing slowly to keep herself at bay. “I am very much enjoying the view, thank you. My boyfriend looks incredibly hot shirtless. I like seeing him this way,” she hummed, biting her lip as she looked up at him. “Eggs and toast sounds good. How do you like your eggs?”
“I like seeing my girlfriend this way, too,” William kissed her on the shoulder, “Wearing simply a shirt and nothing else. I like my eggs half fried. Also, shouldn’t you put your clothes in the washer?”
Amber placed her (cold) hands on his chest and traced light shapes on his skin, humming softly before responding. “Yes, I should. But I don’t know where it is, and I don’t know if I would know how to use it if I found it. So you can either show me, or you can do it while I cook.”
William let out a small shiver as her hands touched his chest. He blinked the desire away. “Well, then, I can do it if you want,” he shrugged, continuing with the circles on her thighs. “It won’t take long.”
He shivered under her touch, and she smirked, continuing the motion. “Sounds good. You’ll have to find my clothes, though… Not entirely sure where they all ended up…”
“Well… I’m sure they’re all somewhere in this room,” he shrugged. “I’ll find them.”
“They should definitely be in here. I don’t think they grew legs and walked away,” Amber joked with a chuckle. “Anyway, I should go start on breakfast now.”
“Unless I freed you from them in the living room, then yes, they should be here,” William flicked her on the forehead before he pulled away, catching Amber’s discarded shirt perched on his chair.
“I remember you taking them off in here, love. Now, your shirt, on the other hand… I’m pretty sure that was left somewhere along the way in,” Amber hummed, flicking him in the chest in retaliation before starting toward the door.
“I know,” William chuckled as he picked up Amber’s shirt before finding her pants and undergarments thrown in the different corners of the room. “Well, let me put these in the washer. I’ll join you in the kitchen once I’m done.”
“Sounds good, love,” Amber chuckled as she stepped out the door. When she was alone in the kitchen, she shivered, closing her eyes for a moment and letting it a slow breath. That man would certainly be the death of her.
William tossed her clothes in the washer, shutting it and leaning against it with a sigh. This was a dumb game to play. He wanted her. Badly, but they needed a break from that. Taking a deep breath, he poured in the detergent in one section and the fabric freshener in the other. Turning it on, William walked out of the laundry room, finding Amber in the kitchen frying the eggs. He walked behind her and wrapped his arms around her waist, kissing her cheek out of pure affection.
“Hey, there,” he murmured, “Anything I could do for you?”
Amber heard soft footsteps coming up behind her right before a pair of familiar arms wrapped around her waist. She smiled and leaned back into William, turning her head to press a swift kiss back to his cheek.
“Get the toast made? I’ve just gotta her another egg done, unless you wanted two?” she mused, turning back to the stove.
“Just one,” William nuzzled her neck before pulling away. He opened a cabinet to take out the bread, putting two slices in the toaster and leaning against the counter as he waited.
He turned to look at his girlfriend, watching her with love and adoration. “Amber.”
Amber flipped the egg in the pan, made sure it was done, then transferred it to a plate. She cracked another into the pan for herself. “Hm?” she hummed in question without turning to him.
“Nothing,” William murmured, eyes following her movements. “I just wanted to say your name.”
Amber turned to him with a soft smile. “You’re cute, you know that?”
William snorted, shrugging lightly. “I love the way your name sounds on my tongue,” he said. “It’s a beautiful name.”
“And you are a really sweet guy, no matter what you think,” Amber hummed, turning back to her egg.
“Only to you,” William responded immediately, taking out the toast that had been done. “One or two, Blue?”
“Just one is fine,” Amber replied, flipping the egg in the pan. “Thanks, love.”
William furrowed his eyebrows as he set the two toasts on a plate. “Just one? Will that really be enough?”
Amber shrugged and glanced at him. “I don’t need to eat a lot in the mornings. Too much food makes me sick,” she explained.
William nodded in understanding as he popped another slice of bread in the toaster. “All right then,” he walked over to her again to give her a small kiss on the cheek. “Just one slice.”
