(I'm off for the night, Bye!)
(bye :) )
"Why, where are you going?" Leo called out as she rushed out the door. Turning back to Ezra, Leo dealt out the card again. "You really should try the Red Eye, it has a nice kick I think you would enjoy."
Ezra watched her leave with uncertainty, staring at the cards as he crossed his arms. He decided it was better to watch after Leo. Besides, she would be back soon, right? He nods to Leo. “I mean, if you think it’s good.” He watches the bar again, eyeing the now empty booth. Where did that shifty one go? sighing, he cautiously makes his way to the bar, tapping his fingers as he observes every detail
"Won't have to wait for long." The other muttered, dangling a chair wrapped around his fingers. At the end hung a vial, halfway full of some redish liquid.
Has smirked as he grabbed a vermouth and headed towards the door. "What joy." He replied, slipping out of the room. He flicked his gaze up and grinned, recognizing one of customers from the table group. "What can I do for you babe? Bars not open for another few hours or so." He greeted warmly, throwing a towel over his shoulder
(carefully watching)
Ezra eyed the (…kind of pretty) waiter, continuing to tap his fingers. “I was just looking to order a drink. Our server abruptly left.”
Jas held the stranger's gaze for a second far too long before nodding his head. "I'll make an exception for you, pretty boy. What would you like?" He asked, finding a glass and setting it down on the countertop. From the corner of his eye, jas spotted his coworker emerge from the alcohol storage space. He flashed a grin before focusing back on Ezra.
"He wants a red eye." Said a grinning Leo, popping up next to Ezra. "It's really good, and it has a nice kick." Leo said happily. "But don't tell him what's in it, I want him to guess." He tried to rest his elbow on Ezra's shoulder, but Ezra was too tall so instead he rested his head on his hands and his elbows on the counter.
Ezra cleared his throat, nodding softly. "Yeah. I guess. If you have those." He gazed over the bar, knowing that it was one of the most dangerous places for them to be
(lets get this thing moving again! @Fenrir or @AAA_Batteries. One of you needs to reply.)
(sorry bout the wait!)
Jas nodded as he glanced at the two, finding their odd dynamic cute in a way. He set a tall glass down on the counter as well as a shaker and jigger. "You're not so nice huh? Your poor friend." Jas teased, throwing in various liquids into his shaker, slamming the top down and vigorously shaking the mixture until he was satisfied. He poured it into the tall glass, finished it off with a chili slice and slid it across to Ezra. "Have fun~" he sang, catching movement from the corner of his eye when his co-workers emerged from the storage room.
Ezra watched Jas with awe, folding his arms neatly as he rocked on his heels. He felt himself blush a little when Jas sang, then timidly took a swig of the drink
"Oh! God!! Leo what the hell!!" He started coughing, which turned into laughing.
"Do you like it?" Leo asked, trying to keep from laughing. "I did tell you it had a kick." He bit down on his lip, chuckling. "Were did Momma Blair go?" Leo looked around the shop, still struggling to hide his laughter.
Ezra chuckled, setting the glass down and lightly punching Leo in the arm. "What was in that anyway?? Tomato juice and beer?? Who's idea was that!" He looked around, suddenly realizing he was being a bit loud, and cleared his throat as he folded his arms again. "I dunno."
Slowly, Blair remerges. "Sorry that took so long, there was family business."
Blair's eyes shifted to the scene that was going on, and smiled. "I'm glad to see everyone is having fun." As she took a seat, she looked up at Jas.
"Hello, it seems you've met my little brigade here?"
Jas snickered softly as he preoccupied himself with refilling the near empty bottles of alcohol with he stash beneath the counter. He glanced up when the girl came over, flashing another smile. " I have indeed," he replied "a bunch of trouble makers. Careful with what you order around them." He earned teasingly, setting a keg of beers off to the side. "While I'm here and serving hot sauce with alcohol for some reason, can I get you anything?"
Blair shook her head. "No, I don't tend to drink." She looked over at the concoction in front of Ezra. "Ezra, what the hell is this?" She stared at it again, then looked at Jas. "You serve this? Why?" She then shrugged. "I guess some would like it, I bet it was quite the chuckle." She then gestured towards Leo. "Now, do you want one too?"
Ezra blushed, folding his arms tightly. "I wouldn't really recommend it." He looked over Jas with intrigue, not sure what the man's motives were.
Leo smiled. "Can I have a red eye too please?" he asked the bartender. He knew Ezra was concerned for some reason, but Leo couldn't figure out why. For all he knew, the kick from the drink still hadn't warn off.
Blair pointed at Leo. "Sir, can you replace the alcohol? He's underage." She had been trying to keep Leo out of trouble for years, and today was no different. "I'd also love if you'd add something to make it less spicy." Blair then began to doodle on a piece of scratch paper.
Jas raised his hands in defense. “I merely gave them what they ordered, miss. I’m not paid enough to care about the after affects.” He chuckled deeply and shrugged. “It is an acquired taste ,I must admit. Not one I’m particularly fond of.” He glanced at the trio, pausing his cleaning of a shot glass. He grinned at Leo and leaned over the counter, voice dropping to a whisper. “You little trickster.’ He teased, straightening and looking over them all once again. “Now that you mention it, ho many of you are underaged?” He asked, tilting his head and quirking an eyebrow, spreading finding a few more glasses to make Blaire and Leo drinks. “But of course, sweetheart.” He replied, pouring in some slashed ice, coconut flakes, pineapple juice, coconut water, and a bit of cherry juice into both glasses. He topped off the drink with a cherry and umbrella before sliding it over to the group. “Pina coladas, holding the rum of course for the young ones.” He winked and went back to work.
Leo rolled his eyes at Blair and took the drink. "Um, I'm under age and Ezra is underage. Blair's not though." He said pointing to each person in turn. Leo took a sip of his drink and his eyes went wide. "Wow, this is amazing. Thank you."
Blair nodded. "Just excuse it for today, we don't usually do this." That was a lie. They came to this place and got alcohol at least twice a week. It was just tradition at this point. "I'm glad you like it, Leo." She then stared up at the waiter. "Thanks for the drink…" she glanced up at some paper on the wall listing the staff. "Jas, thanks Jas."
Leo nods. "Yeah, it kinda is tradition now." he says, looking at Jas.
