(I would die for this child thanks)
Tsadi rolls his eyes at the child and stands up. Teth glares at him, then looks back down at the child.
Resh is the first to speak. “I’m Resh Corvus,” He points at Teth, “this is Teth Cassiopeia, and the mean looking one is Tsadi Cepheus. We’re… a little lost, to be honest.”
Tsadi glares at Resh when he refers to him as ‘the mean looking one.’
The child giggles at Resh when he calls Tsadi mean. "You are correct. You don't belong here, do you?" They tilt their head. They seem to know the answer already.
A couple of the others have gone to stand next to their friend, looking at the trio curiously. One of them walks up to Resh to greet him.
Resh shakes his head. “No, we don’t.” He looks over at the other child greeting him, and touches their hand as well.
Teth watches Resh talk to the children, then looks up at Tsadi. “See? He’s great with kids.”
The second child looks up at Resh. They look older than the first, closer to a young teenager. "You are lost, and yet found. Adrift in a sea of confusion. Do you know what brought you here, or is that also lost?"
Th first child watches the second as they speak. "Avirex, you know the adults don't like when we speak like that!" They cross their arms as they look at Avirex.
Avirex only rolls their eyes in return. "Afraid of a little fun, Sena?"
(THATS FUCKING TERRIFYING AND HILARIOUS)
(skykids came directly from megabird and I intend to make full use of that fact)
Resh tilts his head at Avirex. “…what?”
(Short response because I can’t really do much now)
Avirex looks back up at Resh. They speak a bit slower than before. "Do you know what brought you here, Resh Corvus?" They glance at Teth and Tsadi, quickly going over to them and tapping their hands with their own. They don't seem to care much about politeness, but now Teth and Tsadi can understand them as well.
Sena looks shocked when Avirex does this. They want to say something, but don't.
Teth doesn’t seem to mind Avirex tapping her hand, but Tsadi quickly jerks his away. “What the hell-“
Resh shakes his head, intrigued and slightly creeped out. “…No. I don’t. My guess is that it was some deity.”
Avirex looks at Tsadi, almost staring through him. They look a bit disoriented, before looking at Resh again. "Deity? As you're named after? If you plan on speaking to Resh, you may as well die now." They can't help but glance at Tsadi again as they speak.
Resh shifts uncomfortably. “Uh… okay?”
Teth glances at Tsadi, then looks at Avirex again. “The fuck do you mean-?”
Tsadi narrows his eyes at Avirex. Why is it looking at me?
(Mur der)
Sena glances anxiously between Avirex and the three adults. "They mean going to Eden. Right?" They look at Avirex as they speak.
Avirex looks back at Sena. "…Yes. Going to speak to a deity, speak to the elders. Not Resh." They quickly turn away, going back to the still-greyed others.
Sena quickly bows an apology to the trio after they leave. "Sorry. Avirex sees better than most of us… and has been around longer. It makes them different."
Resh blinks a few times, then nods slowly. “…Right. And what exactly do you mean by that?” He tries to ask as politely as possible.
(inhale well resh I don't really have that answer in words yet)
Sena tilts their head at Resh like it's the most obvious thing. "Your soul." It's difficult to tell if they're speaking figuratively or not.
(ah yes that’s a normal thing for a child to say)
(ah yes because they're completely normal children)
Resh looks bewildered as Sena speaks. “..My soul. Okay, that’s not creepy at all…”
Teth and Tsadi look equally as freaked out as Resh does.
Sena decides to turn the conversation at their reactions. "Hmm- would you like to meet the others?" They gesture back to the other two, who are still greyed. They were talking with Avirex, but turn to look at the three when they are addressed.
Resh looks at Teth and Tsadi, searching for their opinions before answering.
Teth shrugs. “Well, it’s not like we have much else to do.” I mean, I guess we could try to find the temple, but we have no idea how that would help us get back home-
When Tsadi gives no answer, Resh looks at Sena again and nods. “Sure.”
Sena beckons for the other two to come over. They walk over, one after the other, and hold out their hands to them in the same manner the other two did. With them closer, it seems Sena is the smallest–and possibly youngest–of the group.
Resh and Teth both touch their hands, and Resh smiles at both of them. Tsadi hesitates for a few moments, before reluctantly touching their hands as well.
"This is Kovi and Axal." Sena points to them when they say their names. Kovi looks to be a similar age to Avirex, and Axal a bit younger. It's still difficult to determine their exact age.
Kovi smiles back at Resh, and then looks up at Teth. "The temple may have more answers than you believe. Or not, depending on what you need."
Axal looks at Tsadi, and then back at Avirex. "Hm. You were right about him."
