Devi smiles, nodding. “You think on what you’ve wanted. But you may find it’s already been given to you.” She looks to the bird who nestled into Chantelle’s hair. The bird seemed indestructible no matter how hard she squeezed.
"That's-huh. I like that."
Devi chuckles. “You humans are still quite awkward. But I find that charming anyways.” She grins playfully and chuckles, looking at Chantelle and her bird. “He loves shiny things and kisses. So I’m sure you both will be best friends.” She bends down.
The bird chirps and makes a little kiss noise as he presses his beak to Chantelle’s cheek.
Chantelle squeals in delight. "Again, thank you so much," Grace says.
(i think chantelle is gonna be nonverbal. just cause)
(Yeah makes sense)
Devi nods, smiling. “Of course. You two suffered enough.” She laughs softly at Chantelle’s squeals. “Hm…we need to give him a name.”
Chantelle points at his blue head, smiling. "You want to name him Blue?" Grace asks. Chantelle nods, smiling. "Blue it is," Grace says. "A perfect name for a perfect bird."
Devi nods. “Exactly.”
Blue squawks and nuzzles closer to his new owner, seeming to like his name.
Chantelle yawns, still petting her bird with one hand, holding the locket in the other.
"It's nap time sweetie." Grace decides. "Do you have a bed I can use for her?"
Devi smiles and nods, leading her to the perfect bedroom for Chantelle. “Your room is right next to hers. Just in case. My room is down the hall.” She points to two grand doors decorated in roses.
"Thank you." Grace leads Chantelle into the room, then, after she gets Chantelle to sleep, she curls up on the floor next to her daughter, despite there being an entire room for her just next door.
Devi smiles warmly, then suddenly, a comfortable bed appears beneath her. “Much better.” She says softly, letting Blue snuggle into Chantelle. “Just call for me and I’ll be here.” She smiles at Grace, then walks out.
(time skip eeeee)
Grace woke up on a comfortable bed. A bed? Hadn't she fallen asleep on the floor? She looked up and saw Chantelle still fast asleep. Grace wanted to explore, but she also didn't want to leave Chantelle alone. Then she saw Blue. The bird glanced at her and chirped quietly. Somehow, she could understand it. Go on, I'll come get you if she starts to wake up. So Grace got up and quietly slipped out the door.
The halls were so quiet and peaceful. The sound of soft flowing water echoed through the glass palace. The place was beautiful. Plants everywhere. There were even a few animals here and there. Sleeping or just roaming around, enjoying their new life.
Devi was down in the garden like space, petting a dog that was laying in her lap as she read a book adorned in gold and silver with leather casing. She looked so graceful and at peace. After a moment, she looks up at Grace and smiles. “Good morning.” She says softly. “Would you like some food? You don’t necessarily need it…nor sleep…but it’s nice to keep some humanity and enjoy luxury.”
"I would love some food, thank you."
Devi smiles and nods, motioning for her to walk down the glass stairs to the garden like jungle. She then waves her hand and a tray of her favorite food appears on a cute little white blanket.
"Your powers are, amazing. How did you come to be a goddess? Where you always one or did you gain your powers through something?"
Devi chuckles softly. “I used to be human many many years ago. But I had a pure soul that Gia loved. And when I died, I was gifted these powers.”
Devi laughs softly and nods. “It is. I’m very grateful for this gift…”
Devi smiles, then smothers her hand over the grass, making beautiful flowers appear in its wake.
Grace looks at the flowers and smiles softly. "That's amazing."
Devi nods, then looks over to her. “Soon…we’ll do something for that soul of you.”
She smiles. “Well…there’s a ritual we do where you decide if you want to heal all that pain from your life. Then once you do…you can either let the life you knew go and live in eternal bliss, or…you can keep that wisdom. You wont be in pain…you’ll just…remember.” She smiles even brighter.
