Alex shook the paint can she was holding and finished drawing the circular symbol. She stepped back and sighed. "It's done, gang. Come on, let's go," she told the rest of her group.
Alice tucked the cans back into a duffel bag. "We've really gotta hurry up next time. Wouldn't want to get caught by the cops again, would we?" She nudged Alex playfully. "What is that circle thing even supposed to be?"
Alex rolled her eyes at Alice. "Shield, duh."
“You act like I remember these things,” Alice said. “I actually have a piece I want to try out, but I need a really big surface. Can you think of anywhere?” They turned down an alleyway. After doing illegal things it was important to zigzag to throw off anyone who might get you in trouble.

Alex glanced at the sketch. Narrowing her eyes slightly at another group member, Laura, she said, "I did tell Laura to keep an eye out for the authorities…"
