“Yeah but not for something dumb.”
“Yeah but not for something dumb.”
"Do you ladies in the back have something you would like to share with the rest of the class?" Mr. Walshire asked, and Rook opened her mouth to say something likely sarcastic and bitchy.
L grabbed her hand quickly to stop her. “No, sir.” She replied, plastering on her best socially acceptable smile. “Sorry sir.”
Rook huffed and slouched back down, mumbling what almost could have passed as an apology.
“Let’s see if he’s gonna be homophobic or not without me being a shit. Then we’ll decide how much of a pain in his side to be.” She muttered, just loud enough for Rook to hear her.
"Fine. You're lucky I like you enough to listen."
She gave Rook’s hand a quick squeeze. Honestly the anticipation of role call was making her way too stressed out.
He started calling out names, listening for the students 'here' and marking something on his clipboard.
This was always the worst part of school. Correcting the teachers on her name. Especially when the pack was in the room.
((i cant remember if rooks name or l's comes first
((I don’t know if L even has a last name oof
((aaaaaaaa
((gay panic
((im uh gonna go with rook? hers starts with g?
((Okieeee
"Rook Garcia."
"Physically but not mentally here!"
L chuckled quietly but she sounded nervous.
((Lemme check actually. I think L does have a last name
((I was wrong. Welp make up name time! Let’s say Luna MacMorrow is her given name.
((aight
He called a few more names, and reached the M's. Rook squeezed L's hand as he called out. "Luna MacMorrow."
“Here. And sir, it’s just L…” she added on nervously. The guy she’d been watching earlier turned around in interest, you could tell just by his expression that he was an asshole.
"Just L? Alright." Mr Walshire wrote down a note.
Rook smiled at L, whispering. "Maybe he's cooler than I thought."
She audibly sighed in relief. The asshole up front just rolled his eyes and turned around again.
"I don't care much for mister 'holier than thou' though." She stuck her tongue out at the back of his head as roll call wrapped up, and Mr Walshire started the lesson.
“You and me both…” she muttered, actually deciding to respect this teacher for now. He might change his mind tomorrow if she was a guy but for now…she’d pay attention.
((uuh what now???
