Conner shrugged, "Weather forecast says it's gonna be here for a few days," he said, "Might as well stay here." he finished the dishes and leaned back against the counter, folding his arms

Kyle’s frown deepened. He was going to be in deep trouble if he stayed for one night, let alone a few days, “I mean… I-I really shouldn’t. And you don’t even know me! I’m a complete stranger…”

Conner sighed, "Look, I can't force you, but I don't want you to get sick. I have an extra bedroom, you're welcome to stay as long as you need," he walked to the fridge, "Hungry? Thirsty?"

Kyle opened his mouth to speak but quickly closed it and shook his head, “No, I’m fine for now,” He sighed and leaned forward on the counter, “So, Conner, do you always help randoms off the street when it rains?” He smiled a little.

Conner pulled out a beer, popping the top and taking a swig, "You're the first. Just don't have it in my heart to leave you out there" he smiled, "So why were you out there in the first place, Kyle?"

“I was walking home. Couldn’t get the bus or a lift so I had to face the rain,” Kyle shrugged and sighed, “I was hoping it wouldn’t last long but uh, clearly I was wrong.” He looked down slightly embarrassed.
