"I'll see what I can find, ok?" She said, a concerned look still on her face, "Just…don't die or anything while I grab a blanket." She jogged to the house and walked to his bed, grabbing his cloak and a blanket.

Miles just sat there. “N-No…..” He stammered quietly. “Come b-b-back…” Ugh… what’s the use…? He stared up at the sky. It was getting much colder now, and he sparatically shivered, his body aching that much more.
"Let's hope this works.." She muttered to herself, jogging back out to him with his cloak slung over her shoulder and a blanket in her arms. "Here, you need this to stay warm." She said, laying his cloak over him before starting to plan how this was going to work.
When the cloak was draped over him, he barely moved. “O-o-of course…..” He squeaked quietly. If I move, I’ll shout and cuss and everything in between… you’ll think I hate you….
Emmeline laid out the blanket next to him, looking him in the eyes, "Ok…I'm going to try my best to just carefully either roll you onto the blanket or pull you very carefully onto it." She looked at him and then back at the blanket, her heart beating quite fast.
He glared at her. “Y-You can try…. B-But y-you might regret it….” Miles growled solemnly. I can at least put effort into it though. Yet I can’t stop pain by moving.
"Why would I regret it?" She asked kneeling down next to his shoulder and putting an arm carefully behind his head and the other in the middle of his back, "You can't be left here in the cold, so I'm going to try my best to get you inside."
Miles winced, but put on a smirking grin. “M-moving me…. is…. like…. m-moving a— er….” He was cut off. I gotta stop saying useless garbage….. He felt his back tingle with pain, but it wasn’t enough to yelp out and bark in rage.
(Basically he’s saying it’ll be super hard to move him because he’s practically 200 lbs of almost pure muscle, lol)
She blew out a small breath before gently picking him up, using all of her strength but only getting him an inch or two off the ground. "I'm so weak," she muttered to herself, shimmying forwards and getting the top half of him barely over the edge of the blanket before setting him down gently.
(XD yeah, that and Emmeline has super weak arms)
(…. welp….. we’ll be here for a while, yah?)
Miles whined when he was picked up. It just hurts so bad…. I just need to get to bed…. I just need to chill… out…. and…. do nothing for the rest of the day…. “I— It w-won’t be e-e-easy…. b-but I b-believe in you-u….” He said absentmindedly.
"If only that could make you just a little bit lighter," She replied, straining to pick the top half of him up again and move him a little further onto the blanket. After quite a lot of work and breaks she managed to get the top half of him on the middle of the blanket. "That.that's enough for now.." She panted.
Miles let out a massive sigh and cringed when his lungs tightened a bit. Don't make it harder than it needs to be…. He closed his eyes carefully, feeling some wind go through his cloak. Although…. I'm curious as to what happens tonight…. It'll probably make things worse….
She laid on her back next to him, rubbing her arms and wincing. She shook her head lightly and sat up, going around to the other side of him and putting an arm under his lower back and under his legs. "Second step, it'll only get easier from here." She told herself, trying not to think about how she was supposed to get him in his bed without hurting him.
Miles cringed. Just hurry…. But don't hurt yourself, or we're both in trouble…. He thought, furrowing his brow. "It… S-shouldn't be t-too hard from here o-o-on out…." He stammered, wincing.
"Are you ok?" She asked, looking at him worriedly, "I'm not hurting you, am I?" She again lifted him up slightly, starting the process of scooting him onto the blanket.
"J-Just a little," He said quickly, letting out a pain-stricken grunt. She better just get this done before I start cursing at her and everything because I'm in so much pain to bear….
She nodded quickly and looked at the blanket, "I'm almost done, just, hold on." She got him to the center of the blanket a little quicker this time, working as fast as she could.
Miles was relieved when she let go of him for the final time. He was now resting not-so-nicely on the blanket. But he was on it nonetheless.
I need to get to my bed…. He thought restlessly. It's the only place I can be without getting f**king injured….
"Ok…time to try to get you into the house and onto your bed." She stood up and rubbed her arms again before picking up two corners of the blanket and starting to slowly and carefully pull him towards the door, wincing every time she saw even the smallest rock or bump.
Miles roughly rolled over the bumps and small rocks and whatnot, and he whined. Quit complaning… You've been through far worse than this…. He blinked slowly, his eyes beginning to sting. I need to get to my bed….. Before everything starts hurting more….
Emmeline pulled him to the door and looked down at him, sighing softly, "Do you think you can walk or stand?" She asked softly, "I don't think I'll be able to get you onto your bed without you standing up.."
His whole body tingled as he lied there, almost entirely motionless. "I– M-maybe???" I'm not sure, to be honest…. He put his arms out and tried push himself up, but his arms and shoulder blades stung immensely. Miles let out an echoing bark, which was also a tad painful.
He let himself back down. Maybe not….
"Try one more time," She put her arms under his shoulders, ready to help boost him up if she could. "C'mon," She muttered, more to herself than to him, "We can do this."
