(XD he’s not trying to!)
Chrys reads the letter, then sighs and writes back after a while.
I apologize, but I cannot bring myself to do so. It is entirely against my morals. Please forgive me. You have been all too kind, and I do not wish to hurt a gentleman such as yourself.
Chryses
Rodya waits, reading and then huffs, I am offering, you are not going to hurt me. I want to come see you, but I am not sure if I can do so while you are in such an unstable state. I only want to help you.
Rodion
Chrys sighs as he receives another letter. He writes back,
Rodion,
I apologize once again, but I must refuse your offer. Your kindness is appreciated, but it could get you killed. Or at least harmed. Please refrain from visiting.
Thank you for your kindness.
Rodya bites his lip, not replying and goes to bed, silent.
Chrys sighs, sitting down at his desk and holding his head in his hands. Over all his years…he’d never felt as shitty as he did today…he should have listened to the warnings. Why had he been so stubborn?!
Rodya doesn’t fall asleep till late, and even then it wasn’t as restful as it should have been, worried for Chrys.
Time went on, and Chrys had grown worse and worse. Chrys writes to Rodion,
Dear Rodion,
I am sorry to inform you, but I will need to advise you to not visit ever again. Unfortunate circumstances have accrued and I’m afraid it is unsafe for you here. I hope that you have success with your father and you become the writer that you dream to be.
Goodbye.
With love, Chrys.
Rodya walks into his rooms, rubbing his face. He blinks at the letter on his desk, picking it up. He reads it quietly. And then again and then bites his lip, gripping it in his hand. After a moment, he sets it on his desk, mute.
Not a moment too soon, his father walks into the room, “Rodion. The wedding is tomorrow, how do you feel?”
Rodya looks up, tucking the letter into his desk, “Fine. . .” He murmurs, turning away.
His father frowns, switching to Russian, “What’s wrong, my boy? You look worse than you have in a while. You look like you did when your mother just died.”
Rodya shrugs, staying silent.
Chrys hated this feeling. Make a new friend…then have them be torn away. Chrys whimpers as he rests his head on his desk. He felt terrible. Mentally, and physically now.
(I mean— you could always turn him— 👀 XDDD)
His father sighs, “Well, whatever. I gave you the chance to pick your ice, and you refused.”
Rodya stays quiet, staring out the window for a moment, then turns to his father, “Father. . .”
“What?”
He hesitates, then sighs, “Of course. . . I’m just. . . Not feeling good today.”
(grins ya never know)
Chrys bites his lip, feeling dizzy. “Oh no…” He mutters. He slowly stands up and stumbles out of the mansion, looking for something to eat.
His father looks at him, “Get some rest, can’t have you getting sick before the big day.”
Rodya nods, smiling weakly, “Yeah. . . I will, father.”
His father nods and then walks out.
Chrys rubs his forehead, then finally finds something. After a while, he staggers back home. Maybe the taste was the thing killing his appetite? Maybe…maybe he was just being picky…no…probably the nutritional value. Humans usually ate more fatty foods. And since Chrys only tried to eat once a week, he wasn’t exactly getting everything he needed.
Rodya sat on the bed, mute and picks his book up trying to read.
Chrys sits back down at his desk, slowly closing his eyes. He was tired…oh no…he was tired. Chrys bites his lip, then decides to just sit and rest for a while.
Rodya stays silent, unable to focus on his book, worried for Chryses.
Chrys stays at his desk, eyes closed.
Rodya btes his lip, looking out the window.
(He wants to go see his friendddd–)
(GO SEE HIMMMMMMMMMMMMM XD)
Chrys whines softly, feeling a dry sensation in his throat.
Rodya sighs, and gets up, walking out of his rooms, going down to the stables and saddling a horse and then ridding out.
Chrys curls up in his chair, hiding his face in his arms.
He starts the horse at a canter, and then picks up to a gallop, eventually reaching Chrys' place and dismounts, the horse not even having come to a full stop yet and he walks forward.
A maid yelps and opens the door just a crack. “I’m sorry sir…but lord Chryses is not available right now.”
Rodya shakes his head, walking to the door, "I'll seem him. either way."
The maid shakes her head. “I’m so sorry…but Chryses has forbidden you to enter…”
