Chrys walks them through a field filled with all kinds of flowers. He smiles as he comes back to the front door. “Well…would you like a full tour of the mansion?”

Rodya looks up t the sky, “I should be getting back. I have a dinner with someone.” He makes a face, clearly not wanting to go to the dinner.

Chrys raises an eyebrow. “You look as though you don’t want to go. Why?”

Rodya shakes his head, “It’s probably a dinner with some lady my father wants me to set my sights on or something.”

Chrys scoffs, “Oh. I see.”

“What?”

Chrys shakes his head, “Nothing. Just thinking of how much of an ass you’re father seems to be.”

Rodya sighs, “He’s not an ass. Just. . . There are things that one does in society. Especially as the only son. If there were more son’s my father would probably be more lenient.”

Chrys hums, “I see…” He sighs.

Rodya sighs softly, pulling away.

Chrys looks at him. “Well…feel free to come back whenever you like.” He smiles.

Chrys hums, then sighs and walks back inside.

A few days later, a servant sets an envelope down on Rodya’s desk and walks out.

(. . . It’s a castle, and he’s not a prince- he’s a lord- there’s no knocking, messengers just give the message to someone, who gives it to. Someone, following the chain until it’s at Rodya’s room-)

Rodya looks up from his après, looking at the note and flipping it open, reading it silently.

There was a letter from Chrys,
Dear Rodya,
I would like to invite you to dinner. I have come across some recipes that I believe we would both like to try.
The dinner will be next week on Saturday, 7 pm. Please send a letter back if you would like to join me. I hope to see you soon,
