(I can start lmao and yea I actually like the idea of the garden shop)
Jayson was looking through the window of a shop, he had walked by this same shop every day and finally saw something he liked. It was a eucalyptus plant, he would kill for one of those since he loved how they smelled. He sort of walks by the shop kinda avoiding entering the place but also wanting to buy the plant so bad. The only problem was the guy inside, he was hella cute and was afraid of going in and making himself look awkward.

"Thank you! Have a nice day!" Darius called in his cheerful customer-service voice as mother left with packets of seeds while her bouncing children each held a small succulent in their grasp. His gaze followed the family as they exited the shop, before having his eyes wander to a nearby guy standing outside of the shop. He noticed the guy seemed to be rather interested in one of the plants in front of the window–popular choices to attract more attention. Taking a quick look around the shop, Darius concluded no one else was in the shop, and decided he would be fine leaving the counter for a bit. Cautiously, he made his way out to the entrance and popped out of the shop's doorway.
"Umm… can I help you, sir?" Darius asked the window-shopper guy. He felt his green uniform apron shift to fall foward with his slight leaning.

Jayson jumped when he heard the guy speak, he was so busy rehearsing what he was going to say when he entered that he didn't even notice him walk out of the store. "No! no no no…" He looked at the guy who was speaking and finally realized it was the guy who he had made a mental note on not to embarrass himself in front of. "Oh shit." he said without thinking, just like he said most things. Then he flinched and laughed nervously. "No yea I was just interested in a…plant." He said, almost tripping over his words.

Wow okay that was absolutely adorable. With his thoughts taking over a moment, Darius paused before breaking into a genuine smile. "Oh. Sorry if I startled you… if you're interested in a plant then maybe come inside and take a closer look, yeah?" He moved further out of the store to hold open the door for the guy, welcoming him inside of the garden shop and offering a warm, kind smile of understanding.

"Oh I'm interested in something alright and it's not just the plant" He muttered to himself as he mentally slapped himself for cussing. He tended to whisper and ramble at the same time when he was nervous and boy was he hella nervous. He then noticed the guy holding the door open for him Oh for fuck's sake don't let the guy stand there awkwardly walk in dumbass. He fast-walked through the door and thanked the guy. Then kept walking before he could say anything, mostly with the fear of making eye contact and having a nervous breakdown.

"Huh..? Well okay then…" Darius watched as the guy seemed to mumble to himself before walking into the shop. He was certainly confused, yes, but this is not the weirdest customer he's come across. Mostly far from it. Oh shit… what if he has social anxiety. That solution made the most sense, given the context. Darius continued to think to himself as he walked back into the shop.
"Oh! If you need help looking for anything, please don't hesitate to ask! I'll be at the front desk if you need me!" He quickly called to the guy as the man walked away, further into the shop. He felt his face grow warm as he realized he was watching the poor guy's ass as he was walking away, and had to shake his head to snap out of it. He's probably not gay though…

Jayson heard the guy say something about if he needed help and turned around, he gave the guy a thumbs up as he nodded. "Thanks, yea I'll do that!" Jayson then went to look for his plant. As he looked around he saw some white roses and was drawn to them, he seems to stare at them for a long time, mesmerized. "They're white…" He muttered. He finally decided to take those instead. He scooped up a bundle of them and walked to the front desk to pay. "I want these." He said staring at the roses, refusing to look up at the guy.

(lmao thank you!! I love your character, he's just so damn adorable and flustered. I wanna reach through the screen and pinch his cheeks like an old grandma)

"Ah. White roses, huh? Must be for someone very special to you," Darius said gently as he started to ring up the guy. "You know what? I'm going to give you a discount, since this seems to be your first time in this store, and because you're such a lovely guy." He quickly inputted the discount into the total before the dude was able to protest–white roses were a bit expensive in this area.
"Alright, your new total is $10.76," he continued as if he didn't compliment the guy. He grabbed some paper and string from under the counter and quickly wrapped the bundle of flowers into a neat and pretty bouquet.

Jayson was about to speak up when the guy had said something about giving them to someone special but decided against it. Then his mind went blank when he talked about a discount. "No, wait! It might be my first time but-" it was too late, the guy had already put in the discount and gave him his final total of $10.76. It took Jayson everything he had not to burn up from embarrassment, at this point he wanted the ground to swallow him whole. "T-Thanks…if you'd like" he paused as if mustering all the nonexistent courage he had. "W-would you like to get a coffee sometime? For your trouble?" And as soon as the words left his mouth he dun regreted it. What if the guy didn't want to? WAIT. What if the guy thought he was asking him out and wasn't even gay?? Oh shit. It was a long shot but he had taken it and it was too late. "Of course you don't have to, I know how that must sound to you I mean a guy asking you out to drink coffee? That sounds a bit….suggestive." He looked away and decided to shut up before he started feeling goosebumps on his arms and that sick feeling in his stomach.

(Lmao "as soon as the words left his mouth he dun regreted it" is such a mood)

"Uh… sure? Coffee does sound pretty nice, especially going with someone like you," Darius smiled gently, trying to take some stress of the situation off of the poor guy. "I have to finish working my shift here before I can go anywhere though… so…" he tore off a bit of the roll of paper under the counter and grabbed a pen from his apron before scribbling down his name and number and offering it to the man. "Here. It's my name and number so you can text me. What's your name, so I know it's you?"

Jayson nodded silently. "No yea I understand, it's alright I'll umm go around while you finish your work." He said pausing a lot near his last words. He saw the guy reach under the table, then ask him his name. "Jayson. It's Jayson….or Jay. Jayce is okay too" He almost cried at how forced and painful his voice came out as he took the paper, trying to steady his hand from the nervousness.

(Yes of course! Only if you want to though… life kinda hit me like a train this past weekend… sorry for being gone so long)

"Jay… Jayson… what a lovely name!" Darius exclaimed cheerily with a soft smile. "Well, Jayce, I'll see you in about an hour then?" He returned the pen to the tin holder, his eyes distracted by the movement of more people coming into the shop.

(nah you're all good and I would like to continue it. I just wanted to make sure you were still into it lmao, I get real paranoid about little things these like these, for example, I'll start thinking "Dude what if she doesn't like you and just bailed?" or "Man your idea was so shit it didn't even get to fifty replies lmaooo jokes on you bro" so yea, I'm not pressuring you or any of the sort just kinda wanted to make sure and just take all the time you need! I just..like I said I got paranoid lmao sorry for my long ass paragraph I just like to make things clear so no one gets the wrong idea besides I knew something was up which is why I held back on sending another message in the rp, didn't wanna stress ya)

Jayson flinched, as he realized he was just plain staring at Darius with his eyes saying he wanted something more from him, but snapped out of it as he saw the distraction in his eyes. "Y-yea cool, in an hour, got it, I'll be back in an hour." He then slowly backed up and walked out of the store in a sort of stiff manner. He had just done something he never thought of doing in his life. He made the first move ON A GUY. By the time he was out of sight from the store, he let out a gasp of air he didn't realize he was holding.

(It's okay man, that's completely understandable. I'm sorry I completely dropped off the grid for a while…)

Darius watched Jayson walk out of the shop with a fluttery feeling in his stomach and a warm feeling in his face. He brought his hand up to his cheek, knowing how pink his face must be by now. A date…? He was jolted out of this thoughts as he saw another customer approach the counter, carrying a decent-sized aloe plant. Just one more hour…

And yeah we should probably time skip to the date) ^{_{(also the reason I was gone was because of a bad bought of a depressive episode, mixed with grief and then adding horrible food poisoning like the cherry on top)}}
