Marie nodded and without another word, rushing in behind the king. She started to power up her magic, it would be ready once she got into range. It would trap the man in his darkest secret, the one he keeps with the skeletons in his closet for a few minutes. Just enough for him to be either killed or detained.
_____
Luc gave a nod in response, moving his knife from hand to hand. "Momma can probably trap him, giving your father time to kill him."
Alucard, upon seeing Marie using her magic, sliced the Berserker’s neck with his chain sword before using his other hand to grab his neck, absorbing the attacker’s soul without any mercy.
“The more sin you have preformed—“ as the process of soul absorbing was happening, the attacker’s body twitched rapidly “—the more delicious your soul is…” a red wispy substance came out of the sliced throat of the man as Alucard consumed it before releasing the man, leaving him in a motionless state.
“Thank you for the meal” he put his hands together and bowed once, his armor dispersing and evaporating back into smoke. He still kept his sword out though, it was possible that there wasn’t just one attacker.
Isaac sighed a bit, still on his horse that has now come to a stop.
“About my father killing him, yeah… he’s a dead man alright” the prince leaned against the horse’s back. He stroked the horse’s back as the horse blinked in satisfaction.
"Main threat is gone," Marie muttered looking around but keeping her magic in the air. "Can you sense anyone else?" She asked the other royal, her eyes still watching any movement.
__
"Yeah…" Luc muttered, watching the scene unfold from behind the smoke, only seeing shadows through it.
“I sense two more though they are quite faraway from here…” Alucard closed his eyes and turned in the direction where he’d sensed the two other sinful souls coming from; it was across the kingdom.
“We might need to hurry” he started rushing down the field and onto the streets.
Isaac noticed his father’s movements and…
“Luc, get on, we’re gonna have to rush to the other side of the kingdom” he patted the horse’s back, inviting Luc on.
"Alrighty," Marie muttered, glancing over to her son and shaking her head, the message clear: Don't go into danger. We can't have the only other royal rushing into danger. She ran after Alucard, knife brandished.
__
"Momma says no. She's usually right." Luc rubbed his eyes as he spoke, sighing. "We need to go help get all the citizens into the castle."
Alucard turned towards his son, giving the impression of a smile before gesturing a pulling action then disappeared into the busy streets of the kingdom.
Isaac gave a little pout at first before seeing his father’s gesture. He smiled back; more like a grin.
“Alright father, I’ll go get him…” he turned to Lucisan.
“Heya, I need to go get someone real quick, wanna come with me?”
While running, Marie took a bottle out of her bag, uncapping it with her teeth before pouring it all on her knife, making sure it didn't touch the skin on her hands. She threw the bottle back into her bag and smiled. "Well, this is as good as any way to test this."
_______
Luc looked hesitant but nodded. "… Alright. I'll follow you." His hand tightened around his weapon, muttering a few words to turn it to a long pirate sword.
“A potion of some sort I assume?” Alucard asked without turning back towards the queen. He pushed some people out of the way with his hands, making sure not to hurt or accidentally attract the souls of the locals.
Isaac wiped the saddle of the horse he was on before gesturing, calling Lucisan on.
“We can’t go there in time without going on this good boy” he mentioned as the horse emitted a white smoke from its legs and tail.
"Poison, it infects the wound and keeps it from closing." She hummed, making shooing motions to her citizens to the castle. "You know the drill! Go to the castle!" Marie called out to her people, most of them nodding.
___
Luc smiled at the horse and got onto it with a bit of difficulty. He didn't really get on horses a lot, all the horses were used for gaurds.
“Ah, got it, that would be useful for me” they soon arrived at the scene. Some people were injured, some were in shock, some were motionless and dead. Two identical figures were the ones in the middle of the chaos; one of them holding onto the collar of one of the locals, threatening to kill them if they don’t obey while the other figure was stabbing the heart of one of the guards. They were in an identical armor; the Gemini armor from Selas.
“Damn astronomy insects…” Alucard unsheathed his blade.
“Alright, to Kintopra” Isaac’s horse started moving and rushing through the field towards the Nature kingdom to the south. Thankfully, Isaac knew exactly where the person his father wanted was so he couldn’t have possibly gotten lost during the ride.
Marie scowled deeply, straightening her back. "What are you doing to my people?" She asked, voice full of edges. Her eyes were narrowed at the figures who were threatening her citizens.
The Gemini Knights did not answer, rather they just turned to the royals. Their movements seemed a bit inhuman.
“Queen, be careful, I don’t sense a fleshy feeling from them… they could just be hungry spirits“ he claimed, his blade going up in blue smoke.
"I don't care what they are," Marie growled, eyes focused on the knights. "All I care about is why they are hurting my citizens." Marie's eyes had an animalistic glint, one only the people she's tortured know.
“That I know, I’m just telling you to be careful…” Alucard mumbled to himself before he started to charge against the Gemini Knight who was closer to him rather than the one by Marie.
Slashing his sword sideways, attempting to slice the Knight’s helm from his body resulted in the Knight ducking and punching the king’s stomach, breaking two—no, three—pairs of ribs and piercing the royal’s torso with the blades on their heavy gloves.
The king jumped back, landed beside Marie as he grunted. His right hand still holding onto his blade while his left touched his bleeding stomach.
“Perhaps they’re looking for spirits to eat… similar to us in Phastia… though they seem to feast on innocent souls…” he mentioned. The royals of Phastia had the ability to sense souls’ intent by just getting a glimpse of their scent.
"Would any type of poison pierce them if they're spirits?" She asked with a grunt, ducking in to stab between a chink in the armor of the other knight, she escaped the hit with only a shallow wound on her cheek.
“Any type of neural damaging poison should do” Alucard gave as his body started to heal itself from the inside out. He looked up and blocked the attack from the knight just in time before it had reached him.
Marie coughed. "Alright." She muttered, dancing out of the way as she uncapped another bottle with her teeth, pouring it all over the already coated knife. "This should work if what you said is true…"
“It works for the majority of them, I’m sure about that—“ Alucard confirmed, parrying the Knight who charged him before kicking the possessed armor away from himself.
God damnit, why can’t I get a single opening here…
Marie stabbed into the area between the helmet and the armor of the knight, managing to at least draw some blood. The knife was coated enough that any cuts it made, the poision would get into the bloodstream.
The Gemini knight Marie slashed was screaming in pain before the very essence of the knight evaporated, leaving only the pieces of armor on the ground.
Alucard smiled sinisterly when he saw that.
In that case…
He opened his hand and aimed at the other Gemini Knight. He motioned backwards with his arm, pulling out the Gemini’s spirit and leaving the pieces of armor on the ground as well.
Marie sighed with relief. "Alright, now that that's out of the way." She coughed, a bit of blood coming up. That wasn't unusual, the entire royal family had this condition. They're bodies held too much blood and so they'd cough up blood. "The poison I used paralyzes the brain's function."
Alucard nodded, limping himself to the other Gemini Knight and absorbed the rest of the essence inside the armor.
“Great… I’m gonna have to find a doctor after this…” he looked down at the cut and wound he got.
Isaac’s horse slowed down once they got into the other Kingdom’s area. It was quiet, peaceful, almost dreamlike with the trees and the misty environment.
“Here we are… Kintopra” Isaac mentioned to Lucisan as the horse moved slowly down the road.
"I think we both do." She hummed, shaking her head and walked to the citizens and the dead guard. "Are you alright?" Marie asked the citizens. "We're going to get you home alright…"

"So… What are we doing here?"
(Sorry for the short responses, for some reason that's my writing style)
Alucard had a smile on his face when he saw how caring Marie was. He walked to stand beside her.
“I’ll have my knights carry them if they can’t move easily” he suggested.
“Finding a man named Shayne, apparently my father called him ‘The Immortal Knight’… he’s also the man who’s the leader of the ‘Silverwings’” Isaac answered as the horse jogged into the thicker mists of the kingdom.
Marie hummed, helping a citizen up. "I should be able to get them home. My citizens are strong." She said proudly, helping the others up. "They'll find their way up to the castle and I'll take care of the dead."
_______
Luc raised an eyebrow but thought for a moment. "Silverwings… Assassins? They sound like assassins." He muttered under his breath, squinting into the mist before giving up and turning his attention back to Isaac.
