Met glanced up at Kadachi and decided to ignore it. He knew he– Met– wouldn't regret it. He was afraid Kadachi would.
Met glanced up at Kadachi and decided to ignore it. He knew he– Met– wouldn't regret it. He was afraid Kadachi would.
Kadachi finished the last of his drink, taking a long sip before setting it down with a small yawn. He stretched out, long legs knocking against Met's accidentally
Met squeaked softly and jumped, looking down as their long legs clashed. "Oh! Sorry about that. I'm always getting in the way," He said with a rather shy grin.
"No, no, it's fine, I have long legs," Kadachi said, giving an awkward little laugh as he tucked his legs rather uncomfortably beneath his chair in an effort to keep them out of Met's space
Met smiled shyly. "Yeah, I do too. Us tall people are not very lucky when it comes to tables like this, huh?"
Kadachi shook his head with a small, shy smile. He wasn't even that tall, he just had long legs, which was problematic at best. They weren't even muscular like they used to be, so they weren't very appealing in his opinion
Met smiled shyly back and went back to his meager helping of rice. "So… you said you work at a garden shop?"
Kadachi nodded, smiling a little as he played idly with one of his rings, twisting it between his fingers. "I do. We grow magic plants there," he answered
"That sounds awesome," Met said with an awestruck grin. "I'd love to take care of one. Or work there. It wouldn't pay as much as my current job, but it'd be a helluvalot easier…" He sighed and shook his head. "Sorry about the rant. Tell me about yourself."
"W-Well, um…" Kadachi said slowly, blushing a little as he tried to think. "I…I like plants, and flowers. And I like making rings out of strange things. And I'm kind of a book nerd…" he said slowly
Met nodded intently, listening with a smile. "Yeah? What else? What do you like reading?" He himself was a book worm. It was nice to meet another.
"Usually…usually magic books. And romance novels," Kadachi admitted, cheeks flushing as he looked down at his hands shyly
Met smiled a little, nodding. "Really? That's cool. I used to read those. Now I read stuff about…" He trailed off suddenly, turning pink.
Kadachi, being the dense, innocent bean he is, tilted his head a little. "What do you read about now?" he asked curiously
Met twiddled his fingers. What he read wasn't inappropriate, just embarrassing. But his tattoos and literally anything else about the black-haired man was.
"You know. Plants and… nature… butterflies… it's quite nice."
Kadachi's eyes widened, and a wide smile spread across his face. "You would love my shop. We have animals in-store, and a library, and a small garden," he said warmly
Met perked up a little. "What kind of animals?" He quite liked animals too, but he preferred insects. Most people didn't like it when he told them that.
"All sorts. We have a separate part of the garden for insects and animals that prefer that environment, but most are exotic and magic-bred, like ferrets and pythons," Kadachi answered
"Ah, then maybe I'll have to swing by on my way home," The other man said thoughtfully with a smile.
"That would be nice. I could show you around if you like," Kadachi offered with a small smile, happy to be of service
Met nodded, gratefully accepting. "I'd love that. Thank you. So, are you done?" He asked as the check was brough back.
Kadachi nodded, smiling a little. "I have things for dessert at the shop too, if you like. I like making different things in my spare time," he said with a small shrug
"That sounds awesome. Your store is like my dream," He said with a laugh into his hands.
Kadachi grinned a little at that. "You're welcome to come say hi," he said, a hint of a hopeful tone in his voice
"I'd love to pop in," Met accepted with a bright smile. "It'd be really nice. It'd help ,e calm down."
