Kadachi couldn't help but giggle when he looked over at Met, thinking it hilarious how fast he was eating. "So you eat all that, but not my cookies? I'm offended," he laughed, putting a hand over his chest theatrically
Met chuckled over his mouthful. "I thought I told you I can't have a lot of pure sugar. Your cookies were delicious. If this date works out, you'll have a life-time customer," Met said with a devilish wink that sent a rush of blood through his head. I can't believe I pulled that off!
Kadachi's cheeks almost immediately reddened, but his little giggles made up for it. "I'll hold you to that, then," he said, feeling like his heart was still fluttering from that wink alone
Met's heart was still sending hard streams of blood aching through his brain, but the reaction he got plastered a bright smile on his face.
"You do that. Enjoy, too." He went back to his food.
Kadachi nodded, that same dorky smile still on his face as he ate. He just couldn’t seem to get rid of it, really, especially after Met had made his heart flutter like that
Met finished up his plate, smiling warmly. "So, I finished. I'm gonna grab more." He stood slowly.
Kadachi nodded. He took a sip of tea, only being about a bit more than halfway finished with his. He was a slow eater, and was getting full relatively quickly
Met piled a bit more rice on his plate and plopped on a few ladels full of the dish, walking back over and gently stirring it together. He hummed softly, then took a bite.
Kadachi was getting close to finished with his food, and he was sipping his tea when Met got back. "Must be good if you like it that much," he chuckled
Met glanced up with an eyebrow raise, a grain of rice falling from his lip. "You don't like it?"
"I like it, but I obviously don't like it as much as you do," Kadachi explained, giggling when he saw the way Met looked up
Met blushed faintly and sat back in his seat, ruffling up his neatly straightened hair, whose ends could not be seen.
"I've… I've been here a lot."
"Yeah? Maybe we can come back again sometime," Kadachi said, smiling sweetly at Met and resisting the urge to giggle when he spotted his blush
Met grinned faintly through his busted blush. "I'd, I'd like that a lot. This place is a great place to go if you just want to talk to someone."
"Yeah? Well, if you don't want to spend as much money, you could come to my apartment. I could make lunch or something," Kadachi offered with a small smile
"That'd be nice," Met said politely with a smile, deciding not to tell the other of how well he could cook.
It was Kadachi's turn to flush a little, but he looked happy nonetheless. "It's a date, then. What day?" he asked, taking a last bite of his food
Met smiled a little, or perhaps wider, and took a sip of his milk. "Um, I'm free next weekend. Maybe. I'm not sure, really."
"Well, you have my number. I have work at the flower shop sometimes on the weekends, but I can request a day off if I'm scheduled," Kadachi offered
Met tilted his head, nodding. "Yeah, I can just text you if I get busy. Sounds good!"
“Great,” Kadachi said with a small grin. For once, he found himself…excited to see Met again
Met smiled back before going back to his milk. Their check was delivered to them a few moments later, after Met clarified they just got the two buffet meals. He slipped his card into the envelope and set it down at his elbow, smiling.
Kadachi had reached for his wallet, but he stopped when he saw Met pull the card out. "I thought we were splitting the check?" he said slowly, hoping Met would go with it so he didn't have to pay for everything
"No, we're not," Met said rather firmly, his shy head gone for that moment. "We agreed I'd do it." He looked up and continued forking down rice.
Kadachi internally sighed, but nodded a little. "Okay," he said a bit reluctantly, pouting down at his tea as he took a sip
