When class ended, Michael headed to his locker and finally, finally, got a chance to send the text and picture. Some of the marks had already faded from his arm, but it was there, nonetheless. Well i do believe you are my soulmate? he typed.

Kai’s heart beat practically stopped and then started again a moment later when his phone pinged. He grinned and hurriedly throes a message back, That would be me, yes. It’s nice to finally talk. What would your name be, love?
He gasped aloud before clamping a hand over his mouth. Michael's eyes went wide. This was happening!! This! Was! Happening! Michael's heart was beating faster than he thought was possible. Bad thoughts rolled through his mind, but for once, he felt too distracted to care. He composed himself well enough to write another text.

Kai stayed at the name for a moment, seeing if it wrung any bells. He decided he didn’t before sending back. Kai Millson. It is a pleasure to know you’re my soulmate, Micheal.
Michael was ready to burst with excitement, anxiety and fear. Kai Millson… The name felt as though it should have been familiar somehow, but it also felt foreign and new.

Kai chuckled at that and smiled down at his phone. Nah, not at all. I wanna know everything about you, too. How about we start with age, location and general interests?
Michael could feel energy flowing through his veins as he typed his age and location and hit send. What if they lived in the same area? He thought about his "general interests" and wasn't entirely sure what to put for that. He didn't want to say the wrong things and seem like the wrong person to Kai.
Kai's world stopped and the started again. Location was the same. Exact and to the T. Which meant Micheal was probably in the same school, most likely right now. Stars… I kid you not we live in the exact. same. area. He typed so quickly.
Michael felt his heart rate pick up so so quickly. His eyes reread the words over and over. It seemed surreal that they lived in the same area. He typed as quickly as he could. No. Way. before freaking out more. They lived in the same area. Maybe the same school… he thought before typing the golden question. Do you go to [reee] high school? He wasn't sure what he would do if the answer was yes.
If you hadn't proved you were my soulmate with the pictures I would have believed you to be a stalker because yes, yes I do. Kai slid down the lockers he was leaning against, running a hand through his hair. After all this time, his soulmate was in the same town, same school and he hadn't known and now he felt like a complete, oblivious idiot.
Michael didn't know what to say. They went to the same school. They were the same age. They probably had some classes together. All this time, and he had no idea whatsoever. He was right there and stupid little Michael had no idea.
Well, now what? Michael wanted to meet up and he wanted to suggest that they eat lunch together or at least see each other before school ended today, but his anxiety was preventing him from doing so. He didn't want to seem clingy minutes after learning who his soulmate was.
We're meeting up. Kai respond quickly, not even giving himself a chance to think this plan through. A rational part of him knew he had to get home, but he didn't care anymore, not when his soulmate was so close. The park by the school, by the bench on the east side of the play ground.
MIchael couldn't help but to stifle a laugh of excitement and nervousness. Okay! He typed as he set off to find this bench, hoping not to get lost. Thoughts flew through his head and Michael tried his hardest to silence them and focus on what was happening right there. He. Was. About. To. Meet. His. Soulmate.
Kai slipped his phone into his pocket, taking a deep breath and releasing it before he set off. Maybe they were moving too quick and they should talk more before they met each other but… no, he’d been waiting too long for this and he needed to meet him.
